Now this is a quality Mortal Kombat story mode. Not overly complicated. Simple. Straight forward And probably most importantly Heart. So much heart. No MK story made me feel the way this one did ever since. It hits you. It might be the best story in fighting games. Probably my favorite story in any game I've played.
I always have fun at the beginning, going through the process of trying to see how many dead kombatants I can recognize around the Pyramid of Argus. At the same time, I also love how when we get into the new timeline, there's just a whole bunch of changes in appearance that are never explained, like the different outfits and looks everyone has compared to Armageddon, and stupid things like how Scorpion's spear is now a chain, characters from MK2 and MK3 are involved in the events of MK1, and just other little things like that. It messes with continuity that those are never addressed, but with this series, I just find it funny.
MKX follow the same story the Shinnok story only in MK11 they made it ridiculous MK11 would be better if they make Dark Raiden the Villain because he has potential but the didn't make him villain thats sad

My honest absolute only problem with the story is the ending and post credit scene. Because of them i can't say it's the best story mode because right after this, we have one of the WORST story modes in the franchise☹
MK9 - MK11 for each of their stories and gameplay, I also really enjoyed Johnny Cage's character growth and his bond with Sonya Blade One thing I didn't like about this game was the attires they gave to the female characters, way too fanservice
