Yeah People can get pretty Sensitive about their favorite Brands of Smelly Alcohol Water. But this Hobby is so incredibly Subjective that you can't really trust Recommendations from anybody.
I got some Samples and Ive really been enjoying Dior's Eau Sauvage. specifically the EDT.
it's an Older Dior Fragrance but the Top smells like Lemon Candy and it's quite Pleasant.

Great video and I mostly agree with all your choices! I don't like the original JPG, MGK 540, Night vision or Pegasus either. The Pegasus exclusif is a bit better. Carlisle,Haltane and Sedley are my favorites. I never tried Xeroff Renaissance. My favorites of the house is Knots 40, Alexandria II and Naxos. Dior Intense and Savage elixir are way too mature for you. Very few guys your age would like them. Come back to them in about 10 years when your scent matures and I'm sure you'll appreciate them much more! 😉 Looking forward to a part 2.

PDM Pegasus is amazing you should try it again. not the best PDM but no where near close to the worst

This is from the influencer’s nose, you shouldn’t take it seriously. Jeremy himself ranked Pegasus as one of the most complimented scent in his video, so don’t let this single influence discourage you with your lovely perfumes.

I agree on the PDMs. I thought layton smelt like grass at first and now i love it. And for me renaissance smelt like straight, so boring and didn't even smell that good, not horrible though
Hot take: the fact that Dior Sauvage is so overused is a big plus of the fragrance if there rest of your collection is pretty niche heavy and has a lot of very unique fragrances that might offend some people at the office.
And because Sauvage is used by so many people, you can't really go wrong with it. Sure, you won't stand out with it, because everyone has smelled it like a million times, but you smell good and in certain situations you don't really want to stand out because of your fragrance.
Who is 'everyone'? Don't believe everything what fragrance influencers tell you. The fragrance community is a tiny part of the general population. All mass produced fragrances could be used by anyone, as they're readily available. Also, the same fragrance influencers telling you to not use a particular fragrance anymore are also the reason that that particular fragrance became popular in the first place, by shilling it extensively in their videos. So it's pretty weird that they tell you to stop wearing popular fragrances they themselves have shilled ad infinitum.

I'm pretty new to the fragrance world and have rocked my Boss Bottled for most of my life.
I also never paid that much attention to how other peolpe smelled and never asked myself which fragrance that might be, but when I tried Dior Sauvage for the first time, the smell was very familiar to me.
And it's not just fragrance influencers who made it so popular, because most people don't even watch fragrance content. Dior launched a massive Marketing campaign and in pretty much every store i went to the store employees recommended Sauvage for a long time, I just didn't care about fragrances that much so I stuck with my Boss Bottled
Because there are hundreds of influencers talking about the same fragrances doesn't mean that everywhere you go you will smell the same.

I never said everywhere you go you will smell Dior Sauvage, I said pretty much everyone, at least in western countries has smelled it multiple times before. You certainly can go out and out smell Dior Sauvage the entire night, but you have definitely smelled it multiple times before.
It being familiar to pretty much everyone doesn't mean you'll smell it everywhere you go.
And it's also not just influencers. If you went to any drug store in the last few years and just asked for a nice fragrance, chances are they recommended Sauvage, that's why it's a familiar smell for most people.
People who actually watch frag influencers are the minority.
Sauvage isn't like a PdM Layton which is well known in the fragrance community, but outside of this small bubble many people never even heard of PdM. It's a total mass market product
Out of all the fragrances ive tried i can understand why people like them but I really cant understand the Oud Satin mood hype. i bought the sample and it smells like something a 72 year old grandma would wear. Its very powdery and gives me a headache.

JPG is not even close to the biggest or best selling. Not even top 5. And both BR540 and Sauvage Elixir are great

I'm 45 and Sauvage Elixir smells like cough sirup to me. Worst Sauvage by far, and that's including the Eau Sauvage and Very Cool Spray.
