@@equitywisdom9707 if sports was mere data and spread sheets then the best players would have been the analysts, Sports is Raw emotion my friend and stop watching cricket if you could never recognise that emotions is what makes the game, Sachin is the most legendary Cricketer and for people like you who love data just go to cricbuzz or Cricinfo... 😏
@@hianto2005 well he was the one who held the record for most centuries in World cups for India before Rohit Sharma broke his record in 2019 world cup, also don't forget that the best bowlers used to crumble in front of him... 👍
Brian Lara is really a great man🙏. People used to compare him with Sachin Tendulkar in the history but he always denied the first place . He openly declared that Sachin Tendulkar is no.1 but we Indians love you both. West indians are known to their honesty 🙏
For an Indian like me who grew up in the 1990s and early 2000s, Sachin will always be the God. No matter how may runs Virat Kohli or any other Indian batsman scores in the future , no one can replace Sachin .
I think it is really amazing to watch Tendulkar bat, his technique was amazing. Lara had a flair in his batting but Tendulkar looks more solid and consistent across formats. My vote goes to Tendulkar 💯
And I still cannot believe that we are watching a late Warney speaking on a channel. It feels he is still alive and we will see him live on a cricket ground or in commentary box soon
many batsman might come and go but the era Sachin played 100 cr ppls expectations was on him so as a human being what he has done I believe he is the best.
The Don, the Man.. the best of the very best..! Still very hard to believe..! Love and respect from India and Bengal .. ! Too much pain that you are not here...
Pretty good analysis from someone who would know. Batting is also about how your team is performing. Put Tendulkar or Lara or even Bradman in the west Indies team of the 80's or the Australian team of the 2000's and their records/statistics would be different as they would not have had to bat as long to save their team rather than winning games. Imagine Viv's record if the west indies had to chase or make bigger totals in the second innings or he didn't have such a great batting line up around him. Warne is going on pure one on one experience , you don't get his opinion from reading reams of stats , its much purer and more genuine. Sachin and Lara were 2 of the all time greats , there was very little between them on the field so anyone who says Lara/Tendulkar is way better than the other is pretty ignorant. Off the field , as Warne says , Tendulkar had staggering pressure on him and he performed so consistently. Both were way better than the next batsman
Ok just listen you both lovely Indian and West indies brothers 😍🥰 Sachin is best batsman for right handers And Brain Lara is best batsman for left handers Love for both living legends from Pakistan ♥️❤️
You kids have no idea how good the batting was in 90s. You had Sachin, Lara, Waugh bros, Jayasuriya and de Silva, The Flowers, Anwer and Inzamam it was so good to watch!
ironically very few batsmen in the 90s had an average more than 50. (just like today). so there is no reason to think that the 90s was any better than now
Sachin had been tested for decades of time ...1990,2000+...he batted and kept his records intract.... a man of discipline, Focus.... its tough for new format players to achieve... importantly there is no 50 overs and test cricket to prove what kind of shots these new era batsman have... above all Sachin is an innocent 😇 humble person all through these greedy international cricket pressure plots... fixing, sledging, tampering, against all these he stood in this era.... a true pure inspiring human being 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Lara and Tendulkar both are great. No doubt. But some of Lara's knocks won high visibility and most crucial / critical test matches for the West Indies. It was almost a single-handed effort. On the contrary, some of Sachin's great knocks in high visibility and crucial matches, ended up being for a losing cause as India lost those matches. That's why it appears like Lara played more match-winning knocks. But if you see the statistics and percentage of match-winning (overall) knocks, Sachin's 100 centuries (Test + ODI), have won India about 50% of the matches while Lara's 53 centuries (Test + ODI) might have won WI about 30% of the matches.
Peru It is because, failures of Sachin was keenly watched all around the world. Everybody just forgot about the stats and blamed Sachin for being selfish and what not. That's the kind of expectations he brought to the field.
U r comparing west indies with India Except lara WI was trash But even without Sachin India was a strong side with anil kumble , harbhajan singh , sehwag, ganguli , vvs Laxman , zahir khan , dravid
@@hiddendagger7291 dude. India team was also trash before ganguly, dravid and vvs joined and settled into the team. India was also having match fixers till 96 world cup. One example i would like to say here is India vs aus. 2009 when aus scored 347 and India could not manage 14 runs. (Imagine a 35 year old guy just supported by raina i believe). Like wise, check the score card when tendulkar scores a 100 and what do remaining batsmen in the team score and india looses. Cricket is team game. Lara also had support of hooper, chanderpaul, sarvan and a very decorated WI bowling line up.
My most favourite Australian, he is very open, always keeps good relationships with non australian players in the non ipl era.. and would have been the greatest captain ever, Australian board had other plans..
Kumar Sangakara has been the most underrated Test cricketer, having 57.4 Test average, 11 double hundred, 1 Triple hundred, capable of playing long innings,
But it's all about that magic , treat to watch, the pure art which was nothing in sanga.. He was a good calculative batsman.. But you don't want to miss a second when lara Or sachin batting in full flow.

That's why Lara is rated way above all the Batsmen, his records of 400 runs no in test and 501 in first class are there to stay, for years to come.
@@rudolphdavid5122lol till 96 we had no dravid or ganguly
Lara had a good quality pace attack
Warnie I m with u. Tendulker, what a player han. Such a passion.
Videos like this make me feel old.... I grew up watching these amazing players and now none of them play.
Warne we love you RIP 🙏
Always dreamed of bowling leg breaks like you. Greatest spinner.
The Master, the Prince and the Wizard. Thank you for a great childhood!!
Can't believe! Warnie is not among us anymore........RIP King........ Love from India!
In terms of match winning inngs in Tests Lara played superior knocks for sure...having said that Tendukar stroke production was just amazing...those booming drives, cuts, upper cuts, pulls, hooks, flicks,etc...when in full flow Tendulkar was just amazing to watch...
I have always loved how shane warne sir have always admired the players irrespective of which country they belonged to, delightful to have such a down to earth man. All respect to you sir!Lots of Love from India

Wonderful words from the legend about two greats of the cricket.. Sachin and Lara! Great gentlemen!
10000% agree with you mate!
I was part of those generation where people would switch off the TV when Sachin gets out early.
Right 😂😂😂😂
Then you were a dumbass because yuvraj and kaif used to carry us once sachin got out.

THAT IS DIFFERENT THING MY FRIEND WE ARE TALKING ABOUT BATTING NOT BOWLING OR ALLROUDER .
Super moment at about 1:22, Warney turns it literally two feet out of the rough and Lara still hits it just where he likes.

Sachin walked out when people thought the game was lost, and Sachin won is those matches, he was a true cricket player worth his name..
No not true he crumbles in pressure situations
whats ur thought on sachin contribution in crucial match like Natwest 2002 final, 2011 world cup final, 2003 world cup final, 2000 champions trophy final, 1999 world cup supex six match ??? please explain with logic and data not with emotions..

Brian Lara is really a great man🙏. People used to compare him with Sachin Tendulkar in the history but he always denied the first place . He openly declared that Sachin Tendulkar is no.1 but we Indians love you both. West indians are known to their honesty 🙏
One of the greatest of all time.
A legend. A genius.
You changed Cricket.
You will be remembered for magical spins!
RIP Shane Warne. ❤️
Lara, Tendulkar, Kallis, Sangakkara, Ponting, these 5 were the best batsmen of the 2000-2010 era.
Rahul Dravid over sanga and ponting any day
When you forget dravid exists
For an Indian like me who grew up in the 1990s and early 2000s, Sachin will always be the God. No matter how may runs Virat Kohli or any other Indian batsman scores in the future , no one can replace Sachin .
Sad people only know to read stats and say Kohli is better than Sachin
@@utkarshkarmwar9013 because there is no other way to compare them. Kohli can't time travel to face those 90's bowlers which Sachin faced.
Rest in peace champ. Thank you for the memories.
There's something so unique about the style of Lara - like graceful yet brutal ballet at the wicket. And so much time to play his shots.
Rest in Power, KING!!
END OF ERA
RIP Shane Warn. 😣
Miss You Legend 🌹🌹
many batsman might come and go but the era Sachin played 100 cr ppls expectations was on him so as a human being what he has done I believe he is the best.
Virat has more pressure than sachin believe it or not it's true
Viv would have still had a good record. He averaged 66.51 at one point in his career. If he played in Lara's era, batting was easier.
Ok just listen you both lovely Indian and West indies brothers 😍🥰
Sachin is best batsman for right handers
And Brain Lara is best batsman for left handers
Love for both living legends from Pakistan ♥️❤️
Tendulkar is the GOAT, make no mistake
RIP legend!! You gave us so many lifetime memories to cherish!!
RIP Shane🙏. Will be missed forever.
You kids have no idea how good the batting was in 90s.
You had Sachin, Lara, Waugh bros, Jayasuriya and de Silva, The Flowers, Anwer and Inzamam it was so good to watch!
Agreed
Test cricket was much better in those days, it really dropped off in the noughties.
Miandad, inzy, Azhar, trescothik, Ijaz Ahmed, Hooper, Dean Jones, Cronje, Logi, aravinda, Steve Waugh....
ironically very few batsmen in the 90s had an average more than 50. (just like today). so there is no reason to think that the 90s was any better than now
@@tz3925 Now they aren't facing Ambrose/Walsh, Waqar/Wasim, Warne/Murali.
Sachin had been tested for decades of time ...1990,2000+...he batted and kept his records intract.... a man of discipline, Focus.... its tough for new format players to achieve... importantly there is no 50 overs and test cricket to prove what kind of shots these new era batsman have... above all Sachin is an innocent 😇 humble person all through these greedy international cricket pressure plots... fixing, sledging, tampering, against all these he stood in this era.... a true pure inspiring human being 🎉🎉🎉🎉
You really were a legend, Mr.Shane!
Peru
It is because, failures of Sachin was keenly watched all around the world. Everybody just forgot about the stats and blamed Sachin for being selfish and what not. That's the kind of expectations he brought to the field.
U r comparing west indies with India
Except lara WI was trash
But even without Sachin India was a strong side with anil kumble , harbhajan singh , sehwag, ganguli , vvs Laxman , zahir khan , dravid
Call Boy well said Lara was a one man team, if he failed most times so did the West Indies
Lara also had support of hooper, chanderpaul, sarvan and a very decorated WI bowling line up.
its been 1 year already. So long GOAT
RIP legend. the sport will miss your services
Sachin is ahead of Lara
Both are great players
Stay bless all
My respect from Pakistan
Hard work cannot beat natural talent
Lara is the Better Test Batsman.
@ptshrm boss hard work cannot beat natural talent and you know that
Lara was a class by himself
lara the best.....warne was dropped bc of him
My most favourite Australian, he is very open, always keeps good relationships with non australian players in the non ipl era.. and would have been the greatest captain ever, Australian board had other plans..
Kumar Sangakara has been the most underrated Test cricketer, having 57.4 Test average, 11 double hundred, 1 Triple hundred, capable of playing long innings,
And his average in SENA is 45 . Which is pretty average for a guy who averaged 57 in Tests .
But it's all about that magic , treat to watch, the pure art which was nothing in sanga.. He was a good calculative batsman.. But you don't want to miss a second when lara Or sachin batting in full flow.
