Awesome stuff as usual. I have decided to abandon the YJ swap and am looking for an XJ carcass only because Joe is offering motor mounts for it. I don’t have access to a fab shop and my bubble gum welding skills won’t cut it lol. But if my XJ project is half as good as yours it’s an absolute win for me only because I have a herd of jeeps and it won’t be my daily until it’s on par with yours.

If you get parts from doomsday, I have no doubt you will end up with a reliable swap like mine. Joe is killing it with the parts.

Just stumbled across your channel. I've been thinking long and hard about a diesel swap on my 99 2dr. This video helped. Thank you sir. And you have a beautiful rig.

I find this video hilarious cause it's true. I used a pd Volkswagen diesel in my 2000 xj and what was supposed to Be a cheapish diesel swap. Has turned into a 25k ground up re build. Gears, lockers, tcase, Trans and engine are all new now at least XD

Hey Thank you! I get 22-24 city when I am taking it easy. Highway: The best I have EVER seen was 28 and I was taking it so easy. No boost. Typically highway is just about the same as city. I am on 35's and 4.88 gears.

My buddy and I have swapped a cammed 5.3 into a 5 speed s10. Whole swap was about 6k to 6.5k including the truck. My buddy and I did it in a barn with 1 electrical outlet. I can't wait to start a diesel swap on my 01 s10 blazer.
