Es gibt so einige Filmemacher, die den Krieg oberflächlich darstellen und die Soldaten heroisieren. Das wollen wir nicht. Krieg ist nicht mal als ''letztes Mittel'' vertretbar, denn er bringt nur Leid, Tod und Zerstörung hervor. Gegenseitiger Hass und Vergeltungswut sind außerdem die Folge. Eine Kommunikation auf Augenhöhe, Kompromissbereitschaft und die Fähigkeit, Frieden herzustellen und zu erhalten sind die wichtigsten menschlichen Eigenschaften, die leider schon im kleinen Kreise vielen Menschen fehlen.
Oh, BTW, I do appreciate the outtakes and bloopers. You are the expert Direktor and producer. My photo: "Alle Kunst ist umzunnst wen ein Engel auf das Zundloch brunnst".
I am so pleased to see someone made a WW2 movie, albeit a short one, that isn't just rah, rah, ra ,Murrica.
The Officer at the end in the funnies was brilliant, keep making them guys, bloody good.
My parents lived in Worms Germany. There was some major battels with Pattons third army there. Everyone loses in war
A very fascinating short film by, "clueless". I am an American and I surely feel honor for those who fought for this country in WWII. The US film footage of WWII has been endless per my life yet this war ended in 1945. Now, it is very amazing to be exposed to the German WWII solider perspective seen by short films as they too did there job and paid great sacrifice just as our American GI's. I also my say, the WWII German solider was as committed and honored their country as well and fought with the same as all countries in this greatest conflict of modern history.

I have not seen this Giant Stone Pictures short film before, but it definitely appears to be another extraordinary drama depicting the brutality of World War II as well as the other masterpieces which can be found on this channel. Thank you.

First WWII movie I've seen where Americans have a thick German accent. Also, I've never seen 3 Americans chase out twice as many enemy soldiers. Otherwise, a good movie. Keep up the good work.

Opening shot depicts a German Officer strolling along hands behind his back, arrogantly surveying the terrain, what is this supposed to tell us, that the German Officers were all arrogant SOBs, possibly some were not at all like that.

The special effects lack somewhat as do the US soldiers speaking English with foreign accents but these short WWII films are quite interesting and well done.
I am so proud of my dad since he deserted the Canadian army because he said that the Germans were not our enemy but the bankers were!

The American Capt. had a pretty pronounced German accent. With the exception of not really firing the weapons, excellent video.

I think this is a great piece of work and a powerful atmosphere with real tension was created just by teasing us about what is around the corner. There were many young men on both sides who didn't want to unnecessarily kill or be killed for some small objective that didn't make any difference.
Just so is it.
Everybody looks like they all just stepped off the boat. More dirt and grunge would be the norm. Otherwise these shorts are rather good. Four stars. ****

This short Movie was well done in respect of condense and uniforms except the German helmet (cardboard). The American Captain spoke with a slight German accent, otherwise I give this Movie clip a 9 out of ten "The Fish"
The American capt. sounds like a polish grocer I knew in Chicago.
I don't know why I feel astonished by this clip. It's not only give knowledge about the past war. Also entertaining too. Mostly it's ending. That false scene gave me the relief. So that I'm not feel too thrilled with the plot.
True, I laughed in that part too. Whatmore in this moment I'm in the harsh situation. Love it, keep up the good work. And I think...

Great short film, but by this time in the war the Germans were experts in house clearing tactics...they used lots of M24 grenades while working in close quarter....many of the guys had already done time on the Eastern Front or Africa and were seasoned veterans...they would have made short work of the "Americans."
That may be, but then this short film would have been a very short film :-D

I'm French, so I can't tell anything about the accent. :) All I can say is that the scenario is pretty good, your actor game is more than clearly decent (even pretty good too). Everything was accurate, the weapons, the costumes... Seems good to me. I can only hope for more :)
Most of the US forces in WWII were civilian soldiers. A few were arrogant A-Holes (as portrayed by the US Captain), but most were just factory workers, farmers, teachers, etc. No one wanted to die. Many served in the Pacific Theater after the War in Europe ended.
I know during the Battle of the Bulge there were Germans in American uniforms. I guess someone didn’t get the note!😄
I was admiring the great attention to details, then the pineapple dropped in and confused me because I was expecting Russians. My bad. Just needed to wait. Very well done.

A real combat, Tragedy of war.
Bravo Zulu to GSP. It is really interesting to see our German allies embracing the facts of WW2 and reenacting history and preserve their heritage and the military excellence of the Wehrmacht without scrutiny these days. This is not a political statement...just an appreciation of what history has taught us. Denmark allows the use of the Swastika in reenactments as they know there is no political motivation behind it...perhaps Germany will uniformly allow that for the sake of authenticity as well. I did notice this battle location must be a gaming area for air-soft enthusiasts...note the air-soft pellets on the ground at 15:11.
Just stumbled across this. Pretty well done. Just a couple of things..... Americans wear their pistols strong side, not cross draw. No soldier ever would operate his 9 mm machine pistol grabbing it by the magazine. Too much chance of a failure to feed. Also, no soldier goes into combat with his chin strap buckled. The helmet is designed to fall off if it takes a glancing bullet. If the chin strap is buckled it stands a good chance of breaking a soldiers neck in that situation.
Did not know the Germans invented the walking map table. Learn something new on RUclips every day.

The stealthy prowling--smart! The arrogant treatment of his men, and the fanatic warloverness of the US captain--not realistic. But a darned good new and closer-to-realism approach to war film. This film might be a "proof of concept" toward a bigger production.

I applaud the efforts here and this video. But a question comes to mind. English/American produced movies (with large budgets) like A Bridge Too Far where there is a substantial portion of the dialog in German - How does that sound to a German? Are the accents realistic? Are the conversations believable? Even some "recent" American movies like Pearl Harbor botched it. Americans in 1941 would not have spoken the way they did in that movie. Suspect they did that in an attempt to increase the appeal to a contemporary audience.
do not now that specific film but older WW2 films tend to sound more.. real when it comes to the german language imo
