      Random GUY I don’t agree. There was nothing evil here. They were soldiers fighting for their countries. The Nazi cause was evil but the average German soldier wasn’t a Nazi, didn’t belong to the party. I certainly don’t think the Allied cause was evil. Is it evil to kill an opposing soldier in war ? No it isn’t.

      @@XXX-qk2cq The answer to your question should be: No, unfortunately not. This only applies if he has to defend his life. Today you should not kill the opponent, at least with the German army, but make "incapacitated". It is at least official.

I had been a soldier also so he opened up his experiences and described a young German soldier who surrendered to his unit one day much like this young man, not much more than a kid. The young German soldier was scared as shit, can't blame him. This happened near the end of the war according to his story much like this clip probably.

    The “Americans” talked with a heavy European accent. He said “Check if anybody survives”, “Survives” in itself is a bit wrong. Besides, an American would say “Check for survivors”. This is a great short film. Shows a lot of emotions like fear, anger, worry, and shows reality from the German side. How can you win a war when, the so called soldiers are inexperienced, untrained men?

  • @porky552
    @porky552 2 года назад +6

    I really enjoy these little films. They give us a perspective of the war few Americans realize. My uncles told me that after December 1944 the pilfering of dead soldiers which occurred on both sides had slowed. German soldiers had very little in way of cigarettes, food, and grenades. But even then it was remarkable the German army was supplied so well up until 1945. A lot of soldiers surrendered to us because they were hungry and out of ammunition.

      "The Truth" Is that the Nazis were terrible people, killing millions of Slavs, Jews, etc for a false image of Üntermensch and Übermensch. The Communists were no better, don't get me wrong, but just because one is bad doesn't mean one is good. The average soldier was the average man and didn't deserve what they had to go through, but saying that some Neo Nazi "Everything is a Jewish Communist Rothschild conspiracy" propaganda just makes you look ignorant.

Full-facial stubble from not being able to shave is one thing, but a trimmed goatee - never. It contrasts with great detail you put into the rest of the video.

    Schon ziemlich gut gemacht.

    American soldiers were practically never short of cigarettes. They came with the K rations. The cigarettes were high quality, the food rations could have been a LOT better.

    The story was fine, but the special effects were Scheise. I hate it when they use the sound of a 1919 browning. 30 cal for an MG-42. And any MG that doesn't eject spent cartridges is a give away. That and the 'loader' just wiggling the ammo belt instead of the ammo cycling through. And several other errors I won't go into.

    Lol 6:25 those canon sounds are from game "Cossacs", i've just catched a flashback into my childhood. Btw those sounds here are absolutely unaccurate, coz in the game they were the sounds of 17th century canons.

    Please if you can make this true story .It was in occupied kingdom of Yugoslavia ,in city of Kragujevac .Commander of the city made order that he want all of the population to be grouped in two groups ,one for death and one to be spared .One young boy less than 10 years old who was in death group looked around and when he was sure that nobody is looking he ran to the other group ,the group to be spared .But one young German soldier 20-35 year old saw him and even start to coming closer to the boy .Boy was frightened he think that soldier ll 'return him to death group but soldier stop near the boy ,crossed with his hand through boy's hair and give him the blinking sign with his right eye that it is all right , soldier didn't stop only on that ,that soldier followed the group the whole time keeping himself near the boy on only less than 1 m away ,making sure that the boy going to be all right .That boy was father of my sister's mother in law and this is the true story of how one German soldier saved one young soul ,hope that great man survived the war.

    As an American and a vet, I have to tell you boys you portrayed the Americans in the trinch in far to good of light. Every dead man in the trinch would of received another round. Just for good measure. We were never good at taking prisoners. If you look at our D-DAY invasion, do you think every German fought to the death? If you look up German prisoners taken on that day, you most likely won't find any!!!!!!!
