- ]The Robert and Frances Fullerton Museum of Art recently hosted a unique exhibition titled "Unfinished," which featured 18 works of art curated entirely by a team of young and talented students. The exhibition celebrated the art of drawing and was the first student-curated exhibition in recent history at RAFFMA.
The students spent weeks researching, designing, and curating the exhibit with the assistance of RAFFMA staff. Their hard work and dedication resulted in a stunning exhibit that left a lasting impact on all who experienced it.
The exhibition also featured an Art Studio where visitors could create their own works of art to be hung alongside the displayed artworks. The studio was designed for artists of all levels and included pencils, mirrors, small models for reference, and specially printed paper with a way for visitors to create their own labels for their artwork. This student-led initiative was a huge success and marked a significant milestone in RAFFMA's history. The exhibition showcased the museum's collection in a new and exciting way, celebrating the art of drawing and inspiring visitors to unleash their creativity.
A big congratulations to the talented student assistants, Aleah Galvan, Leslie Madrigal, Samuel Marshall, and Khoa Nguyen. This interview goes into a behind-the-scenes of the RAFFMA Student Assistant’s thoughts and experience behind the process. This exhibition is on view until April 20th, 2024.
