for me this is a perfect example that music doesn't always have to be overly complex or unpredictable to be beautiful. A sweet melody and especially a thoughtful, emotional interpretation of it can sometimes touch you as much as the great classical pieces.
This song is so stunning. I had goosebumps all over my body (and that does not happen to me very often). How violin and piano work together and compliment each other. Ray Chen and Julio Elizalde are playing their parts excellently, but together the create magic. There are people (especially musicians) in this world who will tell you that slow and quiet music is boring. I think this pieces proves how captivating even a single note can be. The last note is the perfect ending for a passionate, beautiful song.

I’m going to one of Ray’s concerts next month that I’ve been waiting for since, I kid you not, 3 years. 3 years ago, Ray came to Brisbane and I’d never heard of him before and I didn’t even remember it but I have photo evidence. And now, 3 years later, as one of his biggest fans, I get to go see my favourite violinist. Thank you Ray for inspiring so many people, myself included.
I never have cried listening to violin before. I was sure that you looked up the translated lyrics when i heard you sing out of violin with so much intensity and maturity. just a breath-taking rendition of a such an exquisite work.
Although you did not literally sing vocally, I can hear your breath throughout the songs as if you channeled your energy into the violin and made it sing so beautifully.. Especially at 3:17 with all that feels. Amazing Work and hope you do more IU violin cover in the near future~~

Listening to this reminds me of the late autumn nights, the air was quiet and cool, I walked through the golden ginkos, sinking in the tenderness of the song.
