I was stunned to witness him do this in a 1969 camp meeting. He was in a classroom giving a simple teaching on whatever the theme of the weekend camp was. A woman with chronic depression whom I knew was sitting in the classroom, looking down as she listened. Dr. Sumrall suddenly just stopped his teaching and, pointing at me, said, “Young man, would you lay hands on the lady in front of you?” I did so. Then he commanded the spirit of depression to leave that woman, right now! Suddenly, she was able to look up directly at him as he continued his teaching. In months of knowing her, I had never seen this lady look up - she just couldn’t. Afterwards, I talked with her and asked exactly what had happened. She said that the spirit he cast out had gone straight out the top of her head and she had felt a powerful release in her own spirit. This was no trick - she was delivered and stayed delivered. I only wish we still had men of God like Dr. Sumrall in the churches today!

What he’s saying is TRUE!!! It took me 7 months to eventually cast the devil of witchcraft out of a girl I grew up with. I didn’t know how, but I NEVER STOPPED until finally she was delivered! After her Baptism she + I laid hands on a man in a coma for 2 years, when she began to PRAY, only TONGUES came out of her mouth, that man did the fastest sit-up I have ever seen!!! When you fast, don’t forget to Pray !

I just left the church I attended for 13 years. Never heard sermons on demons, salvation, repentance, etc.. And most churches around me are the same. They preach what the people want to hear, not what they need to hear.
Be encouraged, there are STILL good churches which really preach what people NEED to hear. I enjoy Sanctuary Church in Costa Mesa, CA. Pastor tells it like the Bible says.
Amen Brother Charles. This is why God is raising up an on fire army and using people to plant new churches. Myself and my wife planted a church 2 months ago. Praise God we preach on this and see people set free on a weekly basis. Deliverance is needed.

How many churches would actually let Jesus into preach if he was walking the earth. This is a serious question that we all know the answer to. Not many.

Today is 4/1/23. I started listening to Dr. Sumrall back about the late 1960’s! Long time huh. How I wish we had more Bible teachers like him.

She was dead about 45 minutes. His healing are said to be 94 to 100% healing rate.

Also you will get the gift of discerning of spirits. I’m in America and we are in a huge spiritual battle as well.
I used to be in the youth group at his church. Truly an anointed service and ministry. So glad he left us so many resources.

Lester was absolutely right--churches are losing people in droves because they just won't teach the WHOLE Gospel--Usually out of FEAR, when God told us many times to "Fear not." Prayer is great, but its not enough in some cases....We have a job to do!

Jesus healed from a distance. Remember the Roman Soldier that ask God to heal his servant? Jesus was amazed with him. I think You can cast out by fasting and prayer at a distance.

You don’t hear much teaching on spiritual warfare these days, yet it is needed now more than ever
Dr. Sumerall, his main gifting besides being a teacher and minister...was in setting the captives free. Whom ever the son sets free, is free indeed.

We need to walk in this today. We are in such a spiritual battle with huge demonic ruling spirits. Maybe soon we’ll have a heavy move of God like we did in the early 70’s during the hippy times. We need Jesus❤️ It’s also time to crucify our pride and be willing to look foolish for the Lord. Ask for discernment of spirits and wisdom and great boldness in this weak time of the church. I remember working for a doc years ago and a guy used to bring his non verbal brother in. He always kept his head down and wouldn’t look at you. I was alone in the room with him once and felt there was a spirit on him, I decided to pray out loud for him and that’s when he did what Lester witnessed, a slick smile came across his face and he looked at me and said something I wish I remembered. I just said, oh I see who you are to the patient. I didn’t know that much about deliverance at the time. Just then his brother and doctor entered the room and he hung his head back down. From that day on when he came in, I’d see him smirk a bit when I came in. Ugh! Wish I would have knew about Lester and Derek Prince then.
I loved that time in the 70s. We will have an amazing move of God soon. So many will be changed, saved, healed. Can hardly wait to be a part of it. We need Jesus ♥️

Yes, I remember all the songs we sang were pure Scripture, out of Psalms, set to a tune. It was a glorious time. When the services ended nobody left. We just stayed and hung out in that wonderful atmosphere. Lord, do it again.
I didn't know there was a devil until I got the Holy Ghost. He hasn't stopped trying to kill me yet. Didn't know anything but once saved always saved and I don't believe that now cause I got in the word for myself.,.Praise God for the baptism in the Holy Spirit and God's word. He is my teacher !!
If you can lose your salvation then you never had it in first place . You can not be unborn again .
@@saint27573 I was taught once saved always saved in Baptist church. Until I read the New Test for myself I took that doctrine as law. I Definately do not believe it anymore. The word is really plain on it. It is he who continues in Christ until the end. It is not for those who turn back to their old ways and become a branch broken off. Who as the dog returns to his comet and the pig who swallowed In, the mire. Scripture says Itcwoukd have been better to have never known the ways of righteousness than to have turned back. How can you turn back from something you never had. I believe this doctrine has many deceived. It is ,however, not God's will that any perish .
If you get into willful din He will allow you to go under judgment for the saving if your soul. If you don't repent and turn heart back to God you will die in your sin. Judgment is God's mercy to save your soul. Read Romans and all the New Test.please. Beware we become a branch broken off .If God didn't spare Israel his first chosen he want us either. It is all in the word. Thank God for truth.

Once you are saved. You are always saved. If you go back to your old ways then you were never saved to begin with.
I attended a Pentecostal Spanish speaking church about 6 months ago, because my neighbor was the pastor there. At the one service I attended I noticed many of the people in the church coming up to the front to pray. But there was this one woman who kept wailing loudly and surly disturbing what the pastor was saying along with the silent prayers of the people at the alter. It was clearly not of God. She was out of control, yet everyone ignored her like it was a normal thing for this woman to do. I silently said under my breath, Lord is this normal? And as I heard in my spirit say, no this is not. I knew and felt this in my spirit. If I had been a frequenter to this church, I surly would have addressed this disturbance because my spirit told me it wasn’t of God. So, I never went back. The point here is that even when you are in the presence of people who are supposed discern spirits, no one will address it. This is not the kind of church I wanted to belong to. So, as Lester said he was raised in a Pentecostal church, yet no one ever taught him about devils or casting them out or deliverance. This is why we have the issues we are having. It is called having a form of godliness but denying the power. So so sad.

You could have cast them out. If you are a believer and it sounds like you are, you have the power to cast out demons just like them. You also have the gift of discernment but yet you did nothing with your gifts. Next time you cast them out yourself instead of waiting for someone else. It should not have mattered if you belonged to that specific church you are apart of the body of Christ
Maybe you could have stood up gone over to her and cast that spirit out. God showed you something, next time, don’t shrink from it. God is going to use you!
You should have casted it. You are not different from those people who ignore her, maybe even worse cuz you, you knew she was possessed.
I'm currently listening to set of CDs Lester Sumrall August 1972... I don't know how many times I've listened to this CD set... When I hear him magnifying worship the Lord my spirit man leeps with joy... All the praise honor and Glory to the KING

My country, the Philippines, is so privileged that Dr. Lester Sumral was sent by God to come to my country to deliver Ms. Clarita Vilanueva and others like Cornelio the boy who disappear into thin air. I didn’t even know these really happened in my country until I saw one of Dr Sumral’s teaching on deliverance. I am incredibly blessed to have gone to hear Pastor Sumrall in person in the 80’s. I even worked at Lesea Broadcasting about 10 years ago.

Dont think youre going to cast out devils without a prayer life they will laugh at you. Jesus said this kind comes not out but by prayer and fasting.

Its the front lines where Satan hits hard and often , trying to drive back those brave fighters who are storming hell's gates in order to take new ground for the kingdom of God. There is no place more exciting or more dangerous than the front lines of battle. If you score a big victory here, you will be herald as one of God's champions. God is calling. He is looking for believers who will step forward to be counted . He wants those who will step ahead of the rest of the ranks and look the enemy directly in the face. I speak in tongues now.. I’ve tried laying hands on ppl and casting out spirits but it doesn’t manifest. Lack of faith? Or do I need complete and utter obedience to do that

I’ve never been able to speak in tongues😞 I have however laid hands on myself years ago and I was healed instantly. I could feel a pulsing heat going through the top of my hand and though the afflicted body part until no pain was left and I was healed PRAISE GOD!! Why can’t I pray on to tongues though?
@@rebeccalynn1804 , thank God for giving you His gift. Worship in English and believe you will speak in tongues. He will not take over your mouth, nor make you speak in tongues. I personally received the gift in my living room many years ago.

started using me in healing satan tried to put all kinds of sickness on me. He made it extremely hard. The closer I got to God the more he rode on my shoulder screaming in my ear. I had to stop and rebuke him in front of a big S S class I was endeavoring to teach. Satan has tried to take my life 4 times.
He hates those who come against him and his kingdom. He is still trying to kill me through my health. The Spirit recently told me
"NO WEAPON FORMED AGAINST ME SHALL PROSPER. " I have to constantly remind Satan because he doesn't give up or hasn't with me. I have experienced a lot of things spiritually.I am now 72 and still standing but rather tired from so much warfare. God is with is with and for us. PG

I love Lester Sumral. Good old time preaching. Eternal truth that sadly too many churches don’t or won’t preach. Jesus said to go cast out devils. Too many pastors don’t preach about demon or deliverance and we need it more than ever. Praise God, his church is waking up and becoming the body of Christ.

The problem in America is that people were taught in many denominations that a saved person “can’t have” a demon. It’s semantics. So many still are demonized.

@@mzmaryd6452 “some only come out by prayer and fasting” didn’t mean the demonized person had to fast and pray. They were being demonized. Even the apostles couldn’t cast out some because they didn’t know what Jesus knew. As you grow in the Lord you learn, your faith grows, and then you can be used. A baby Christian doesn’t know what a “demon slayer” knows. They haven’t had the experiences that build their faith. It’s the same with the laying on of hands. Regular ole people don’t know what to do. Their faith is often not strong enough. Hang around people who do that all the time and try it with them and your faith grows and your relationship with the Lord grows and you too can do what they do. In life you don’t just say “I’m gonna be a doctor” and start being a doctor the next day. You can’t even just go enroll in medical school. There are steps. There is training. After graduation you don’t just go open your own practice and do all kinds of complicated surgeries. You get mentored and you learn HOW to do them by watching someone who is experienced in the field.

I found a book called The Biblical Guidebook to Deliverance by Randy Clark. In this book Dr. Sumrall is mentioned, so I search youtube, found this. Never heard of Lester before and I come from the Pentecostal church. HalleluYah.

Start with fasting and prayer and Bible study, remember what YESHUA told the Disciples about the demon they were unable to cast out. Turns out even the secular world is recognizing that fasting, as little as 18-24 hours, does incredible things to your capacities. There is power and education in The WORD of GOD. Go study it so that you are not an open door when you come upon a devil. GOD may indeed have a purpose for any Christian who has come upon this teaching, but all power is GOD’s in the Holy Name of YESHUA HAMACHIACH/ JESUS THE CHRIS, and all things work to HIS Glory in this world…that was the theme all the way through Brother Sumrall’s teaching.

Thank God for all who witness to His power. Isaiah 43:10-12. Most churches do not teach in this manner. Someone once said to me you can not teach what you don't know.

There are plenty of believers now who cast out devil's, they just don't get any media time! You can cast out devil's, too as long as you are born again in Christ Jesus!

There are a lot of encouraging things going on, but I do believe church as we know it is dead. I don't believe it was ever suppose to be confined in 4 walls anyway.

Bible reference for casting out your own demons please?
Only way the Bible shows demons being expelled is one Christian casting demons out of someone else. No demons being expelled through personal repentance.
