Gorgeous village. Those shops and markets are amazing. That area is a dream for adventure riders. Find a B&B or rent a cabin and ride through the backroads and try all the food, spending at least a week in each village. I loved seeing all of that. Never give up.

Vita! It's good to see you enjoying yourself. You have a way of making us feel like we're there with you, and really we are in mind and spirit. Where I live we have many whose last name is Lemke. They say they are Polish. They are from the Lemko who live in the Polish, Slovakian, and Ukrainian Carpathians. Ever since I was little a Lemko song has been a favorite - A ti myla/Dushko moja. We sang it in school. When I was younger my family owned a ski shop. Downhill was still a niche, and everyone that skied knew each other, even the shop owners were friends. One shop we would visit in a nearby metro area was called Tatra after the Polish Carpathian range. The building had traditional Carpathian design inside and out. They sold Carpathian handknit sweaters, scarves, hats - all beautiful. To get money into Ukrainian economy, I've been ordering craft supplies and handcrafted items from Ukraine, especially carved wood from the Carpathians - boxes, bowls, figurines, hairpins and combs, , , everything has exceeded expectations, is reasonably priced, and the many different stores all with good service. I shop mostly through Etsy. So I encourage viewers - if there's anything you need or want (Xmas gifts!) consider Ukrainian handcrafts. Speaking of sweaters, , , my furnace is out. It's old and made well, but I'm waiting on a part. Being an outdoors person, it's not bad. My dogs are part wolf so they're cool with it. But I covet that masonry heater and stove! If built properly, they hardly pollute - about that of high efficiency gas furnace. Alas, they're extremely expensive here and few know how to build the eastern European type. Time for dinner. I'm having Vavel marinated wild forest mushrooms from Poland! 🌻💙🇺🇦💛🌻

Its true: I came to have a chat with holiday visitors here today, who were out of their mind about the nature, the views above the fog, the cows, the autumn colors, the fresh air, the tranquility. But you know what? Only the few minutes around that "typical carpathian house", let feel unknown real refreshment, real relaxation. It is something really rich to hear only flies, cow bells the own breath or the own steps in the autumn leaves. You might not need a car back to Kyiv - you can now fly on your own... Might that remain like that. The beauty, the richness, the REAL tranquility, silence, no planes, no cars, no engines, ... That was the second hope. The third: Could not finally those, that think it is a good idea to in their secluded mansions look at a map and where they could add their own color, steel from other people, dictate other people - spend a couple of days there? First all on their own, then all together around that borscht? Then they will be like you and these people there. Dyakuyu. Ukraine just won. And we with her... 💙💛

My Mom once told my stepfather that German Alpine cows have shorter legs in the front than they do in the back, to make grazing in Alpine meadows easier. Not THREE weeks later, someone told HER about the "Alpine cows." :-) Feel free to circulate a similar rumor about Carpathian cows once you return to Kyiv! The Transcarpathian region looks absolutely lovely. It makes sense that there would be a different dialect of Ukrainian given the large population of Ukrainians with Romanian heritage. You're right; it's VERY expensive. I looked for property there about a year ago and the prices are hideous. I saw what were probably Summer houses with crumbling foundations for the equivalent of $400k. I suppose that internal displacement has a lot to do with the prices. Lviv is really expensive too. Every place you went looks well-kept, loved, and immaculate. Of course, this is utterly offensive to russia. They're not happy until everything is run down, desperately poor, and smells of p!ss and vomit. I didn't see a single vampire. Frankly, I doubted that you were in the Carpathians at all because everyone knows that they are infested with vampires. But then you showed us the shrines, which are a form of pest control, so it all makes sense now. :-)

I really miss the Carpathians! I visited Bukovel and it was a very pleasant experience! My fiancé is just like you, spending a weekend over there, in a group of teachers from Rivne. And also telling me that is expensive for a regular Ukrainian person, but many people from Kiev visiting the area! I had also considered that place for retirement!
In 2004 and 2005 during the Orange Revolution I traveled around Ukraine and ended up spending a few weeks in Chernivtsi and The Carpathians. Throughout my travels around Europe I had never experienced such a powerful and peaceful harmony and unity as I found within the Ukrainians including within the big cities, the countryside towns and the small mountain villages in the Carpathians. A truly wonderful and beautiful people! My time there will always remain close to my heart. Slava Ukraine!

I came to have a chat with holiday visitors here today, who were out of their mind about the nature, the views above the fog, the cows, the autumn colors, the fresh air, the tranquility.
But you know what?
Only the few minutes around that "typical carpathian house", let feel unknown real refreshment, real relaxation.
It is something really rich to hear only flies, cow bells the own breath or the own steps in the autumn leaves.
You might not need a car back to Kyiv - you can now fly on your own...
Might that remain like that.
The beauty, the richness, the REAL tranquility, silence, no planes, no cars, no engines, ...
That was the second hope.
The third:
Could not finally those, that think it is a good idea to in their secluded mansions look at a map and where they could add their own color, steel from other people, dictate other people - spend a couple of days there?

My Mom once told my stepfather that German Alpine cows have shorter legs in the front than they do in the back, to make grazing in Alpine meadows easier. Not THREE weeks later, someone told HER about the "Alpine cows." :-) Feel free to circulate a similar rumor about Carpathian cows once you return to Kyiv!
The Transcarpathian region looks absolutely lovely. It makes sense that there would be a different dialect of Ukrainian given the large population of Ukrainians with Romanian heritage. You're right; it's VERY expensive. I looked for property there about a year ago and the prices are hideous. I saw what were probably Summer houses with crumbling foundations for the equivalent of $400k. I suppose that internal displacement has a lot to do with the prices. Lviv is really expensive too.
Every place you went looks well-kept, loved, and immaculate. Of course, this is utterly offensive to russia. They're not happy until everything is run down, desperately poor, and smells of p!ss and vomit.
I didn't see a single vampire. Frankly, I doubted that you were in the Carpathians at all because everyone knows that they are infested with vampires. But then you showed us the shrines, which are a form of pest control, so it all makes sense now. :-)

I visited Bukovel and it was a very pleasant experience!
My fiancé is just like you, spending a weekend over there, in a group of teachers from Rivne.
And also telling me that is expensive for a regular Ukrainian person, but many people from Kiev visiting the area!
I had also considered that place for retirement!

In 2004 and 2005 during the Orange Revolution I traveled around Ukraine and ended up spending a few weeks in Chernivtsi and The Carpathians. Throughout my travels around Europe I had never experienced such a powerful and peaceful harmony and unity as I found within the Ukrainians including within the big cities, the countryside towns and the small mountain villages in the Carpathians. A truly wonderful and beautiful people! My time there will always remain close to my heart. Slava Ukraine!
