I loved this cartoon when I was younger, and I still appreciate it, but now that I’m older I can see the racist elements like the hippo (black aligned house slave) helping the white bunny (white woman slave owner) get ready ;/ i hate that they were so racist when they made this cute short. totally takes away from the potential :((

sure it did. it's as grand as it ever was. even my nieces and nephews enjoyed it. anything's better than the crap today, adventure time, steven universe, etc... 🤮🤮🤮
I thought this cartoon was a fever dream! I watched this so much as a kid!
My sister and I used to see this on VHS with Disney cartoons as kids.
More people should dance down the isle like these bunnies...we drag our butts down it to a dirge.

I like the TASTE of Helen Poornima. I wish to be her lover. But she doesn't accept that. (Thanks) In some more serious affair, also.

@@flaminhotwhatevaThey had such an adorable concept but had to sprinkle in a lil bit of racism like why :((

It was made in 1937. You should probably just expect this from movies/cartoons made before a certain period in time. That’s just how it was.

What the actual holy fuck were the cats doing including when they are seeming to pray to god before gossiping and spreading rumors?!
It's like agnarr and iduna s wedding
Was this made to be cheesy and twee on purpose or did people unironically enjoy this stuff back then?

This cartoon didn't age well. 😑
Things were different back then, if you can’t accept that maybe old cartoons ain’t your jam.
