    Hi. I would like to ask you when you are doing electrolysis for your clients, let say if they booked 30 minutes session are those 30 minutes include the preparation for the electrolysis and after care or you are doing only 30 minutes hair removal. Today I got 30 minutes session and I saw that my electrologist made the timer for 28 minutes. What do you think about this? Is that the way it supposed to be? Thanks.

    Hi Nicole, you said starting with laser can shorten electrolysis time from 3-4 years to around 1.5 assuming we're removing all of the hair. I'm curious how many sessions of laser it would take to get that reduction level to start electrolysis, and how long this mixed method would take to see the same completely bare results.

    • @ElectroYogi
      @ElectroYogi  2 года назад +2

      Hi Tiffany, I believe laser on your bikini (if you have dark hair and lighter skin than the hair) may give you about a 50% reduction. This will still have to happen over about a 12-18 month period and then in the subsequent roughly year, electrolysis would finish the rest of the job permanently.

    ElectroYogi I’m super nervous about an appointment in a couple days. My electrologist says I’m her 2nd client she’s doing for this area (the video’s subject), which makes me feel even more embarrassed/nervous. I trust her, but it’s such an intimate area it’s a bit much for me😅 From an electrologist’s point of view is there any reassurances you could give when treating this area on a client?

    Love this video! Very awkward question, but will electrolysis permanently remove all the hair from the pubic region, including butt crack? If so, does using a tropical numbing cream in any way affect the overall results of the treatment?

    • @ElectroYogi
      @ElectroYogi  3 года назад +10

      hi Brooke! there are no awkward questions (unless someone is rude and inappropriate ;)... and you are not! Electro can definitely remove ALL that hair, but I will tell you that it will take a long time. Our bikini area has a lot of hair, and a lot of growth cycles of the hair (meaning, hair grows in the bikini area for a long period of time, 2nd and 3rd only to the legs and the hair on our heads!). So, if you're not a good candidate for laser in this area, then def do electro, but be prepared for a long journey. Numbing cream is VERY helpful, and does not affect the success of your treatments whatsoever. Good luck to you! nicole

      Hi Ann, I don't quite understand your question. I would NEVER recommend doing 7 hours straight of electro. It would be a LOT for your skin to handle in one day. I'd rather see someone spread the work around.

    • @ElectroYogi
      @ElectroYogi  4 года назад +2

      it can be uncomfortable, depending on the area, but worth it! everyone has a different pain tolerance, so it's really hard for me to say what would be too painful for you. in 13 years of business, I have only had about 3 people EVER not be able to handle the discomfort, and usually it is because they are highly sensitive, and maybe not that committed to the process.

    • @hernamewaslina8602
      @hernamewaslina8602 4 года назад +4

      The "needle" slips into the pore, which is already an open hole in your skin. You will NOT be poked. I also ABHOR needles and am LOVING electrolysis (had 4 sessions and booked 3 more). The discomfort, if any, comes from the application of the electrical current; it should NOT be more uncomfortable than tweezing the hair (except this is PERMANENT). After the electrical current is applied, the hair slips right out with the professional's tweezer. If you see the tiniest mark of blood, it's the follicle that has essentially been cauterized. If you're considering it, I HIGHLY recommend. DO NOT mess with the scabs; it'll cause scarring. Your body will shed the scabs on its own. I also recommend a regimen of Bactine and Neosporin post-treatment, especially right before bed as the body does its best healing when you're asleep. I've already had my torso (boobs & tummy) and eyebrows treated and am sooo happy with the results (another lockdown? bring it on; no more Ukranian peasant look here!). Bikini line & legs/underarms are next. See if you can get your hands on a topical numbing cream, such as lidocaine, from a LEGIT source as Nicole suggested. Bonne chance!

      it will take awhile to get rid of the ingrowns, but once the hair follicles are destroyed, ingrowns will vanish and your skin will heal! I recommend shaving with CLIPPERS instead of a blade, if you're suffering from ingrowns.

      You can do anything, for sure, Chun Myung. In my professional opinion, laser is good to do FIRST, and only on the body, and ONLY when you have Very coarse or dense, dark hair, and light skin. Then electrolysis can finish the job to permanently remove it. Otherwise, electrolysis is the truly permanent solution from start to finish, though time consuming!
