I literally just got this today as an early birthday gift since I just built my first ever PC this year! I'm so excited for my first ever mechanical keyboard! It does feel very smooth!
Because the keycaps aren’t shine through, unfortunately you cannot see the keys even with the RGB light on. If you need to see the letters/symbols, you will need to change out the keycaps to shine-through ones.
@@elBanananas I just finally figured out that we need PUDDING keycaps in order for the light to peek thru the legends. I'll update you in a day or two as I just ordered the f99 + pudding!
i know watching this review was a mistake, i was convinced to immediately buy this keeb lol edit: i finally got it and it really does sound so good out the box
So I bought the f75 and I love it but I really need the k10 and backlit in the actual letters. Can I just swap the key caps to something translucent so it lights up the letters? Sorry new to keyboard game...
I hope you make a short where you replace the keycaps with different profiles! Cause this would be my 3rd but best sounding stock keyboard and I'm looking forward to using different kinds of keycap profiles and see which sounds the best! . . . XDA please? 🙏😂
I love mine! I got it for work. I do use “pause “ button for my time card at work and I set it to windows then FN+F8 and it’s not doing anything. Can someone help please!? Update * I figured it out. I had to look at the manual online. I pressed FN+O and that worked! Phew! Because this is one of the best keyboards I’ve ever owned.
Difference between this and the f75pro? I’m new to the keyboard game. I just bought the f75pro and I love the sound and quality but would also realized I really need the larger f99 keyboard.
I had ordered this a couple of says before seeing this video. Now that I have it an am playing with it, its amazing and the sound is heavenly to listen to even my child loves the sound! I never had a mechanical keyboard before so this is my first experience and all I can say is just wow! This will be used for work and my iPad now! I’m just in love w everything about it and I even type better with it! It doesn’t hurt my fingers anymore because I don’t have to type hard or stretch my fingers a lot to get to the keys like I did w my ergonomic membrane keyboard. It is better for my hands. I just love this keyboard!!!! My fingers don’t slide off the keys either.
I switched to bluetooth mode, when I came back to wired mode, the keys are no longer working. There are still lights when I hit the button though. I tried the restore to default FN + ESC but still not working. Anyone knows how to fix this?
ROFLMAO - Why do people try to twist a keyboard to see if it can be twisted? I'm using a Logitech k275, I can twist it 30 degrees, but it types fine (used 6 years now). What's the big deal with that?
These budget plastic prebuilts are focused to emulate a good typing experience (like an aluminum build) by using soft plates (polycarbonate or polypropylene plates) but the plastic of the case needs to be kinda sturdy and thick (there are a lot of prebuilts that feel so cheap and bend like cardboard). And please... don't try to compare a basic membrane keyboard to these prebuilts, even these low tier plastic prebuilts offer way better quality than the 90% of the gaming keyboards (even expensive ones)
Thanks for the review! I normally build my keyboards but most are either 65% or 75% boards. I wanted a good everyday board with a numpad and tried this one out without actually seeing ur review first! Mine is the version with the Reaper switches and blue/white/grey caps. Absolutely impressed with the whole package! Sounds great, feels great and it's now my daily driver! 😁
It's considered good because it makes the typing experience less harsh when bottoming out the keys. Most custom keyboards aim for flex by utilizing a gasket mount, suspending the PCB with rubber mounts. But like everything it's a matter of preference.
Great review. This is the exact keyboard down the the colorway that I purchased. I did change my keycaps and it was super easy and looks great. I will add that I did have connectivity issues with the Bluetooth (and less often the wireless USB) where it had a hard time registering every keystroke, which is unacceptable because I work on linux servers and I can't accept typos on the command line, so I use it wired for work. I would not recommend the wireless option if you need it to be 100%. Other than that, this is my favorite keyboard. Keys are so thocky. 💕 Bought one for my husband and my lil bro.
@@shirleymartinez1886 I have purchased three sets of off-brand keycaps for this keyboard and tested them all. They all worked. Keycaps have a universal fit to most keyboard switches and that's definitely the case here, so you should be good getting almost any set of keycaps unless they explicitly state they are for a different kind of switch (which is rare.)
@@JokeinParis Thank you. I went with the Aula and not the one that said Epomaker. Someone in the comments on this video said Epomaker had terrible customer service
You have the option to use it Wired, Bluetooth, or 2.4G wireless USB connectivity. I use mine wired when I'm at work and 2.4G wireless USB when I'm on my personal PC.

Affiliate doesn’t mean it was sponsored. You can buy any product and review it and put affiliate links on the video and earn from it. That’s how review channels make a lil extra money tho it’s probably only a couple hundred. Also doesn’t mean the review isn’t honest

can you see the keys well when in the dark room with no light?

Mine does not sound that clacky. I just got mine about 3 weeks ago and it’s much more quieter/ creamier.
Which switch do you have? Aula provides many options of switches for F99. I have no idea which one is quiet

It's going to be a pain to get all that sound suppressing stuff out of the keyboard once it comes in, but at least it looks nice.

does the USB slot only for storing the dongle and not a functional pass through port?

Does the little light in the middle always stay on or can we turn it off?
how to know if the battery is low?
Trying to decide between this one and keychron v5 max. Any suggestions?
Aula F99 won't let you down.
