I wish I put the effort and time to make videos like you do. This kind of stuff, although not as extreme, is what I do most of the time, and I do find it fun and entertaining to watch. I never miss anything from your channel or metalshaper. I once worked on a pair of axles in actually worse condition from what you have, just to save some parts. It was from a CJ5 that was used on a shrimp farm, where the land was all sand and out in the ocean. Poor thing was so rusty, that when they decided to stop using it, the front axle housing rusted in half shortly after. Salt and rust aside, it had no maintenance and really disgusting black oil and grease, so nearly everything was destroyed. In the end just the drums, 2 of the backing plates, knuckles, spindles and front hubs were usable, all else was junk! But I do have faith on this axle of yours, it does seem to have many good parts! Keep up the good work!
Long time viewer (since the first jeep clips in the Garage on the Hill series), first time commenter - just want to say I do really appreciate your stuff and always look into your new posts. I especially like your sense of details and never being shy doing a lot of work to get it right.
@@SunkCostGarage Learning is one of the two great things about jeeps I say - and driving is the other, I hope you get to drive a lot more in the future - off road as well!

I appreciate the comment. Thanks for hanging around for awhile. I'm still learning a lot but I'm finding the fun in these basket case rescue projects.
