Carrying on the strong base of the body of Agnes' unit, and thanks to the use of the BOLELO A, Hilda's GYAN Strom has solid visuals to work with. The blues give it a colour scheme reminiscent of the original UC Gyan, and thanks to the use of the correct colors, the only paint apps that are needed are for filling in the rear head camera, light blue and orange of the thrusters, and the purplish gray for the whip and machine gun related parts, besides optionally repainting the white on the front skirts into the base light blue in case you wanna recreate the line art version instead of the movie version. Apart from that, the undergates in the knees are the most annoying and dangerous part of the build, but Hilda's GYAN looks more acceptable OOB. Articulation is the same as the standard release combined with the moving parts of the BOLELO A of the GELGOOG Menace, no surprises there. Weapons are the same as the standard unit, including the Beam Rifle, Beam Saber, Slayer Whip, Beam Axe, Self-Propelled Shield with missing red emitter rims, and Machine Gun barrels for the chest. Naturally, the backpacks and backpack weapons can be swapped between all GELGOOGs and GYANs, allowing you to customize your unit and loadout. Owing to the fewer visual issues, I'd say Hilda's unit is the easier one of the two variants to get into if you're a stickler for detail. Otherwise, consider that it's a P-Bandai kit that doesn't have the BOLELO S in case you don't want the BOLELO A. Besides, despite it needing 4-6 paint mixes, they're mostly for filling in small, if not optional details (White and orange for the body, purplish gray for the machine guns and whip, red inside the shield emitters, optional light blue for the skirts, and optional red for the heated whip). I'd say, it's the better version of the two despite its short screen time, in no small part thanks to the backpack. Kit rank: Recommended

Onee-san Gyan type?! Oh its the imouto ver. If only this Gyan Justice-based so it could be a close-quarter combat fighter with sub-flighter rather than winged cqc unit
Honestly, I literally got this kit solely for the space pack. Hell, I got two of it for that reason. The lack of colors on it doesn’t bug me since I’m using them for kitbashes. I’m also harvesting the back of one of my GYANs to turn into a Wizard-to-two-peg adapter. I don’t hate the look of the GYAN Strom aside from the idiotic helmet, but the base kit also left quite a bit to be desired. The head piece on mine is super loose, making head articulation near impossible. Also, WHY THE FUCK GIVE SB-6 BEAMS TO A FUCKING _GYAN?!_ The UC Gyan’s most distinctive and attractive feature was its massive goddamn beam saber blade. You’re telling me Bandai, the kings of reusing older runners unnecessarily, couldn’t just give us the C2 runner from the Gyan revive? Or hell, just give us SB-13 beams? The beam saber on a goddamn Gyan SHOULD NOT BE SHORT. I was thinking of making a CAD model of my finished Wizard adapter to save my other Gyan, but fuck it, the kit isn’t worth it.
I mean fair enough, any Gunpla used as material won't need to worry about accuracy. But I agree with you that the base kit leaves much to be desired. Strangely, the helmet piece on mine is fine, so I guess it's based on the batch? Not sure. And I think the reason they used SB-6 beams is because the shape is more uniform (as opposed to the SB-13 beams that have a round base), making it more appropriate for rapiers. They did the same with the Rose.
This is definitely one of those situations where I can say this with a straight face you're better off just getting the OG universal century Gyan then this one. While the articulation is very fantastic it comes at the cost of you needing to have the colors be almost exactly like it did in the movie and really the build just feels pretty monotonous but not in the fun way. Or hell you're better off just getting the Gelgoog Menace as much as I am not a big fan of seed ripping off universal century mobile suit designs. And that's not even beginning to mention that the pilot for this thing....... When I found out that she was spared I said are you kidding me this chick who has been the majority of the movie whining and crying about how no one loves her, switched sides specifically because she couldn't get into Jesus Yamato's pants and now you're telling me that she gets to live!? And I thought Code Geass Roze of the Recapture had characters that should have died but instead they get to live, but this chick takes the cake. Anyway another soild review!
This is also a situation where the P-Bandai version is much better than this one and well worth the potential extra cost (so long as it isn't ridiculous), as it requires much less painting and effort to perfect the visuals. Sure the build issues like the gratuitous undergates still are present, but at least people will have a much better time with Hilda's kit rather than this one. Glad you liked the video though, cheers.
I don't find either of them personally offensive TBH, but Agnes is just the person I don't want to be with, even if the heat death of the universe is imminent. And that's coming from me, a person who really wants to be in a relationship.
Yes she's worse than Carta. Carta is just a clueless commander who does stuff by her book, but serves an important role in establishing the political background in IBO. Agnes is not only insufferable, both as a character and as a person, she adds nothing to the story whatsoever.
Flay was at least a good character, even when she's not a good person. But hey, at least the GYAN didn't start whining at me at why it's the worst of the line so far.
They designed it with RG standards, sold it at almost modern RG prices, yet needed so many color-correcting stickers because it's an HG. Honestly, they bit off more than they could chew.
hey at least she got awesome looking suit right? just throw her away and let me get that gyan. she don't deserve it. but bruh, what's up with this kit and the sticker? should been part separated. smh to bandai
To play devil's advocate, I'm not mad at the stickers for them being stickers, but more like how they designed it too intricately for an HG to realistically separate the parts. The kit's engineering had nothing wrong with it, it's all Okawara's fault for overly designing the backpack, and Bandai's fault for not molding the colors correctly. That's why I was morphing into Uncle Roger for a sec.
Had Bandai knew their limits and told Okawara to hold back, and also molded the colors correctly, I won't be as pissed off as I am. They clearly could mold colors correctly if they put their big nogs together, Rozen Zulu being a great example of it, but they just decided to say "Make it blue" and ran with whatever they got out of it.
@@mj2005gundam They and very few people really give as much of a fuck about color toning as you do though. most kits nowadays launch with the "wrong" colors and this likely has to do with a complex list of factors involving plastic pigmentation vs what you can achieve with mixed paint and cost and yadda yadda. This and WFM are nowhere near in the same ballpark as the old Rozen Zulu, those colors were genuinely hideous
@datkat2001 and yet the Episode 7 version has the correct colors. Same thing goes for how the Demi Barding has the colors Chuchu's Demi is supposed to be in, or how the most common joint gray color is the one the Astray No-Name should be in, or how the Murasame Kai has the correct brownish red the M1 Astray and old Murasame should've been in. They have the ability to at least get close to the design colors, and have on multiple occasions proven so on other kits no matter the injection molding processes. I admit I'm nitpicky, but it just goes to show that the colors are more deliberate than a result of restriction. And for the 2 people who give a fuck about accuracy to know what needs to be done for that is still worthy information to me. Besides, the BOLELO S is also a victim of being overly designed, and thus ruins kits it's used on.

Onee-san Gyan type?!
Oh its the imouto ver.
If only this Gyan Justice-based so it could be a close-quarter combat fighter with sub-flighter rather than winged cqc unit
So your idea is to turn it into the Justice
@ True, but they’re so damn short. It’s just so weird for a machine that’s supposed to replace the GOUF Ignited, which had a massive anti-ship sword.
Bandai charging RG prices for a kit with engineering from the 2000s
Again, it's not the kit's fault, but rather the designer.
Hg murasame revive (Kai)
That video is on the way.
"haiya" 😂😂😂😂
"You killing me, woman! Haiyaa!"
Imagine making a worse version of a Gyan and not because of Agnes or because M'Quve had nothing with this version.
Because it is a copy of UC
The Gyan deserves better
It does. Honestly, just give it to Yzak and have him upgrade to the Duel midway. It's not like he had much to do in the final movie
I haven’t seen Seed Freedom yet, but something tells me I will not like Agnes.
@@lucasurquiza554 you won't! She is basically Flay 2.0, and voiced the SAME voice actor to boot!!
Oh trust me, if you've seen or been a salty person over someone having a romantic relationship, you'd know how insufferable she is.
Murasame kai when?
Soon
Still don't like Agnes, but Nina and Quess are so much worse. Thier existence caused more pain and death in UC.
I don't find either of them personally offensive TBH, but Agnes is just the person I don't want to be with, even if the heat death of the universe is imminent. And that's coming from me, a person who really wants to be in a relationship.
Shinn's expression when he and Lunamaria found Agnes after the battle was priceless. He was 100% for letting her die out there
@@AgentWebs in the novel version, she gets left behind on the Moon after final battle
Rightfully so. No guy would like such a vapid, vindictive bitch around them, whatever the capacity
GQuuuuuuuuuX incase ur living under the rock.
I've been looking at warning signs of ducks ever since, and losing sleep in order to get my PO in on HLJ as soon as the listings dropped.
Hiya
Haiyaa.. Hello there
Worse than Carta Issue from IBO?
Or Quess or Nina Trinity
Carta is prob worse
"I just wanted to fight fair and square!"
says the one who fights mobile workers in a mobile suit
Yes she's worse than Carta. Carta is just a clueless commander who does stuff by her book, but serves an important role in establishing the political background in IBO. Agnes is not only insufferable, both as a character and as a person, she adds nothing to the story whatsoever.
@@mj2005gundam Fair!
Maybe we were too harsh on Flay...
Wild how the Gyan Strom build experience echoes Agnes a little, they truly were made for each other.
Flay was at least a good character, even when she's not a good person.
But hey, at least the GYAN didn't start whining at me at why it's the worst of the line so far.
Holy fuck. Thats some RG level Gyan right there.
They designed it with RG standards, sold it at almost modern RG prices, yet needed so many color-correcting stickers because it's an HG. Honestly, they bit off more than they could chew.
hey at least she got awesome looking suit right? just throw her away and let me get that gyan. she don't deserve it. but bruh, what's up with this kit and the sticker? should been part separated. smh to bandai
wait this is the first time I've heard you saying haiya
To play devil's advocate, I'm not mad at the stickers for them being stickers, but more like how they designed it too intricately for an HG to realistically separate the parts. The kit's engineering had nothing wrong with it, it's all Okawara's fault for overly designing the backpack, and Bandai's fault for not molding the colors correctly. That's why I was morphing into Uncle Roger for a sec.
This suit is really cool, it's just a shame that it has one of the most annoying pilots
Should've given this unit to Yzak as planned, until he needed the Gundam upgrade in the movie
yeah i dont think he likes agnes
Can you blame him? Thats how insufferable Agnes was throughout the entire movie
I'm sure I'm not the only one
Jesus christ dude, I have never seen you so triggered over a kit before…
@@ghalahaddumanjog6759 if you see the character on the movie foe yourself, then you will see👀 WHY.
Tender likes love and care for you Awe.
