@@audiorev2852 , Hi, thank you for your reply, I did buy them in the end, at €250 , but I wish I had not as one of the tweeters plastic Holding the magnet in place had split the magnet had fallen out and had attached itself to the main woofer, I have given it a clean up And managed to put the magnet back in place they seem to work now, I have contacted a speaker supplier in the Netherlands but they needed some impedance reading for them to give the correct drive units, The trouble with a secondhand shop you buy as seen so I could not take them back. And I’ve decided to use them in my little workshop at some point later in the year at least they won’t go to waste obviously a bit overkill for my workshop but least it will give me some sound down there in my basement. I have, I used a pair of them for 10 years. I really enjoyed them but I ended up giving them to a friend. When I was younger I played them too loud and ended up damaging the tweeters, I had to have them replaced. I currently have the Cobalt 806S's, they seem more suitable for loud play and are as clean and refined as the Chorus 706's were.
@@slaving300 In my opinion the Cobalts are better. They definitely handle more power. At low volumes it would be hard to tell the difference, I'd say the Chorus were a bit more defined at low volumes.
@@richycline cobalt has much better drivers! Above all they have the Sandwich Woofers' which are still today focal's best woofers and are normally only in their best and very expensive series like Utopia!!

Hello, have you heard the Focal.JMlab Chorus 706? without the: “S”, not the signature.
