make sure you fill your tanks in the US before crossing the border. Fuel is way more expensive here
Make sure your phone works up there. Call credit card company about travel plans. Take passport. It’s really cold so take more blankets. Chains for ice, snow. Snow brush, extra washer fluid. No guns sadly. Crossing border takes a lot of time. Drivers with past arrests within 10 years will have trouble crossing.
No straight stacks in Canada . They will make you put a muffler or resonator in-line under the truck . They will right you up also for low Cab visors .
Just throwing a few names out there for the truck. My late husband and I had an old yanke truck 2003 freightliner Columbia it was blue so we just named it blue. Shadow, the dark knight other names
@@Bigmike3406E tell that to all the bc truckers, they would laugh at the,oh you can't have straight pipes and low visors..
Name the truck “CANNUCK “your coming to Canada 🇨🇦 perfect name
Damnit man, that fire must have been very profitable if you can double the size of your company already
Right? It’s not a red flag at all the way he’s spending money he said he didn’t have.
@@Mclint9171 who says crime doesn't pay
First video I saw of this guys channel was the fire video. I was thinking “welp let’s see how this goes in a few weeks” Lmao
I can’t believe how many people believe the bullshit he says
I love the old trucks man! Anyone can sign on the line and buy new shit, it takes real men, grit and guts to keep the old trucks going!
I’m a Canadian trucker. I cross into the us weekly. Be careful on the trans Canada if you are in northern Ontario. I live in that area and would rather run in the states. WINTER DIESEL!! We get cold up here. The diesel in the south will freeze.
Reach out to me if you have more questions.
Great job y'all! Glad to see everything flowing good!!! Thoughts and prayers for you all!!
Hey Tim. I use old fire hose I get from fire stations and rebuilders they work better for tank strap gaskets and to run hydro lines for protection. I take care of a fleet of tow trucks it's the best I've found !!!
I’d watch saying “fire” around these parts too much….after the investigators came just shy of having enough to go to the prosecutor last time that word makes these folks awful jumpy!
You are so lucky to be able to teach your son. I lost my marriage over my daughter because she wanted to wrench on engines, especially diesel she is happy being greasy and learning about working on engines, cars, and tractors. Her step mom couldn’t couldn’t except that. So we are getting divorced but daddies girl will still be wrenching. She’s only seven.
Aaayyy, Ice Road Trucker. What if Gentry and Son’s Trucking brought back the famous TV Show Ice Road Truckers
Bravo Tim and you’re team !!!
Keep up great work Tim
Hey man if coming to Canada make sure your anti freeze is atleast 50/50 so your truck doesn't freeze up also bring close to keep warm it can range from minus 10 to 50 so it can be wild and even many bring some alcohol for your air lines if it freezes up. And many even extra fuel filter and a way to drain your air dryer. Currently temp is fluctuating from mince 6 to 20.phil from Canada cheers.
Good job Tim I knew you could do it keep it up and you'll make it
The best of luck to you and your company in your new venture
Glad all is working out so good for you. Safe travels to Canda and back.
Congratulations Tim I know your excited about this!
Hey Tim. I live in Montana and work for a company that hauls fuel and propane. I deadhead into Canada and haul propane back to the US. There hasn’t been any issues. Follow all their rules at the border crossings and make sure you never argue with them and all should be good.
Great video Tim. You guys have worked your butts off be safe on your way to Canada and good luck brother.
Sure does sound nice with those new pipes 👍
Glad to see your spirits back up Tim the lord only throws your way what you can handle and your handling it well my friend safe travels to the great white north looking forward to the ride along
Glad to hear you have big plans
Get my rebuild kit tomorrow excited to get my truck back on the road. I love those revmax seals. 👌
Glad you are happy
Good luck with your new adventure - enjoy.
Keep it real keep up the hard work things will work out for you
Tim, we're enjoying the content, so no matter how upside down things have been since the fire, you got four wheels giving thumbs up and staying on board. Can't wait for my Old Yeller Tee shirt! 👍

Go for it Tim. You all deserve great things 👊
@@RebelScum1996 i stand corrected :-) we all deserve the works!!😁
Congratulations Tim and your business.
GREAT NEWS MY FRIEND, your company is continuing to grow.
Tim, one time the company I work for had a trailer that was stolen and ended up in Canada. When it was found and we arranged for it to come back it required a good amount of work to cross the border back to the U.S. just be sure your equipment is in working order, like you always do and I think you’ll do great!
Great job on the copper top boys! That C-15 Looks good and sounded even better! We are right in the middle of swapping a mechanical Cummins for a C15 in a 1990 379EX! Great to see you boys giving new life to these older working trucks!
We are always here for your brother!!!
Hey Tim, I’ve ran across the Canadian border multiple times they do have a length restriction on your tractor depending on the providence as you go to if you go to the East Providence, your trucks must be ECM restricted the entire way. I believe it’s 65 miles an hour you can’t go any faster and you have to have proof of that Hass to be done through the dealership with documentation or you can probably do it with your computer and just provide documentation if you’re delivering into Canada make sure you have your ace manifest and you’re scheduled prior a couple hours prior were they will charge you a fine coming out. Make sure you have an ace manifest with your loaded. We’re empty people are right it’s a lot it’s a pain usually have issues with US customs get yourself a US customs transponder cause the US charges you are used to be $15 every time you cross the border and you get a transponder from US customs for that
The guy you want to talk to is Sergei from Guns+Freight+Muscle Cars. He used to do heavy haul down into the states and back into Canada and BC. He sold his truck and trailer and became a freight broker. He ran a class operation like you guys and most likely would be a wealth of knowledge about hauling into and out of Canada.
Tim, if your in his area, you gotta check out Deboss garage and the K100 cabover he rebuilt. It's pretty sweet. He has MANY cool builds to check out.
For sure...second this!! @DebossGarage is pretty sweet and the Ken cab over is🔥. He's not too far up over the border in Ontario from me in Buffalo NY area. Maybe do a RUclips vid team up with those 2 or something interesting.
ZIP Ties is from Canada he's funny

Glad to see your moving forward.
GREAT THINGS TAKE HARD WORK GREAT CREW !!
Like I mentioned in my last text it's easier for the trucks to come out of Canada than go into Canada Michigan would let you in no matter what Canada on the other hand if you had a DUI 20 years ago good luck getting into Canada they're a lot more stricter
Congratulations to your team& your company…. Be safe
Good luck to you Tim you deserve all the success that your hard work brings you and your family. Been as you have worked basically dawn to dusk why not call the truck Blue Moon.
Good luck tim and God bless you and your family and crew
Sweet. you'll be coming to my back yard I'm just 2 hours north of the Detroit border in Ontario. If you ever need a place to park a truck or trailer for any reason I can probably help out. plus my farm is pretty much the dedicated scale jumping route just off the main highway through ontario which all our trucks.
You should go see twin sticks. That dude is awesome, zip ties and bias plies too!
Proud of you and your team Tim. The good lord will bless you fir not giving up and staying the course.
Congratulations!!
Safe Travels
Drive that truck up to Canada with it Black Smoking like that and the Canadian Government will IMPOUND that thing so fast it’ll make your head spin……..I wouldn’t go SHOWBOATING pouring out BLACK SMOKE when you’re passing through the border!!!! They’ll also FINE you and you won’t be able to afford the fine!
Every government frowns on that black smoke. That's why they're raising so much hell, one of these days and it's coming real soon every big truck on the road will have to have emission tests.
You can call the new "Bruised Ego"
Good luck brother, with going into Canada!
Mark from Canada here we welcome you and wish ya all the success in the world... God bless Brother!
I love your channel. I hate detroits. When I drove I had more downtime by far with detroits. Cats are decent. I’ve driven over half a million miles with Cummins and only sidelined once by an oil sensor. If I ever do this again I’m Cummins all the way.
Welcome to Canada Tim, I’m not sure if every province requires a heat shield on the exhaust but my brother was told he had to in Manitoba! Guess DOT don’t like to get burned when they try to climb onto trucks!
Not true at all. Also, we, technically, don't have DOT. Here, in Ontario, we have MTO (Ministry of Transportation Ontario).
@@jeffreycairns767 your saying it’s not true that DOT in Manitoba had told my brother that he had to have a heat shield on his exhaust?
@jake knelsen I don't know know what your brother was told, I'm telling YOU that there's no rule or law anywhere in Canada about that. I use to run across Canada until I switched jobs but I still have plenty of friends that still run and none of the trucks have a heat shield. I still don't have one on mu current truck.
Man you have some nice looking trucks and the classic sounds really good
Keep Dot happy an you will be happy !! Trucks are Awesome
Hi Tim iv watched you from day one. Love watching your videos and seeing how far you have come keep the good work up from the uk 🇬🇧 👍
Wow you are coming back stronger than ever. When you are in Canada visit Peterbilt Mike to see his cabovers
That's great news about Canada. Expand and make it happen. Driver. As always. We're behind you in SC
The “Classic” sounds amazing!
Yessir! We have a huge industry for boat hauling up here in NY and Ontario. Lots of new boats and whatnot! Good way to go man!
Lol old school guy says how he hates eld’s now gonna have to govern trucks a 65 mph
You guys hiring and training?
@@mambalight9821 I'm not entirely sure of what companies are training and hiring, but I've seen alot of companies hauling boats from down south up to canada and some of the marinas and marines stores around me. So idk
@@Jonahs_Trucks_And_More gotcha. Thanks. Do you drive?
@@mambalight9821 I do not yet, but hopefully soon. I've been doing alot of training with my family's quarrys drivers. But also have been doing ride alongs. It helps to see how they drive so I can have a better understanding of what's expected when the time comes for me to do my CDL Testing.
52 min video let’s go !!!
I love the videos to
I live in Southern Ontario and haven't missed a video welcome to are great country .Can't wait to see your trucks on the 401
Love your expanding and ignoring the haters. However, trucking in Canada is a whole different kettle of fish than trucking below the 49 parallel. Summer is fine but you need to know when summer is by location and lattitude. Once your crew undewrstands the elements and demands you will thrive.
Looking forward to Gentry and Sons in Canada.
Hey Tim. A little tip for dealing with heartburn if you're traveling. You can squeeze out a little bit of toothpaste and eat it. Repeat if necessary. It usually has mint in it and will help. I've been using this for years. I don't even keep heartburn mints around anymore. Thanks for the video!
Mustard helps, too. So grab a few extra packs from the truck stop!
Nothing better than a lil baking soda mixing in a glass of water fur that problem…
Hi Tim, I am preety sure that the Exhaust pipes need to have guards around them, or at least the side closest to the doors. Thus to prevent any body from getting burnt on them,.Have a great trip up to Canada, and please take us with you, plenty of driving videos. Cheers mate.
Yep, i was just going to mention that.
I have ran straits plenty of times never did have no guards , DOT never did question me , But a lot of States made sure I had a muffler , straight pipes need muffler today , What I done I put a spark resistor 1 foot from the back of the Turbo They let me slide every time DOT ok it
You are not required to have gaurds
@Andy Logan It's amazing how many Americans claim certain things to be true in Canada yet none are true.
Canada welcomes you brother, prepare for the cold until about april!
Love Y'all Tim, great to see you coming out of the storm. May God be your help,Hug Braxton for me.and tell the team I send my love and God speed to them as well.
How bout "purple Haze" for the blue/black classic? Kinda looks purple in the right light
Hey Tim, check before you head into Canada. But they used to require all trucks have speed limiters installed on them to operate in Canada. They used to pull you over and hook to your engine computer to see if the speed limiters were in place. Was told it was a big fine . I never got caught. But I did know the consequences of getting caught were expensive !
So set em to like 90mph...they're there right haha
It is the law,but it's not enforced.courts overturned some fines so it hasn't been enforced since
Only 2 Provinces require a speed limiter.
Im a truck mechanic in Ontario , it depends on the truck I believe anything with a pre ‘95 engine is exempt from having one
Ya Tim, I'd stay here in America!!! What for an awesome Opportunity here in the USA! It's really Cold up there! Ya, think you're in a little bit of a Hurry! Relax Brother, we will make America Awesome again!!!
I subscribed on 1st episode...I knew u would do well ..u was what utube was missing
It’s a big pain to go up to Canada. I’ve had drivers turn down at the border because they weren’t vaccinated for Covid. It’s always a hassle.
I imagine someone already mentioned it, but some provinces require speed limiters set to a certain speed I know. So take your laptop.
Awesome 😎 . Glad to see a American trucker going to Canada I see a lot of Canadian trucks down really glad to see someone going up there!!!!👍
Sinister is looking awesome. Love the black! Clear in the patina, and get rid of all the chrome.
Hay dude if you willing to help a Canadian get his license my pops drove for almost forty years been around trucks my hole life. Other then that awesome video as always !
Tim there is a Russian Canadian Sergi Dratchev , He s retired from trucking Had his own authority He ran heavy haul based out of canada =he ran the Us - Hes a broker in Calgary now - He had a web site also -
He still has a RUclips channel but as a broker
I love seeing these old trucks run no def government jouice keep up the great work
Reminds me of the two classics my dad and I tore down and rebuild. The were both white,we tore em down, daycabbed them and got them ready for grain boxes. Both had a million plus on them. We painted one copper and one dark brown with flake in the paint and we tri-axled the brown one. And then he bought a third one that looked just like the red classic you have. Thanks for bringing back those memories buddy. Yeah come on down to old Canada 🇨🇦
You have to run speed reduction limits to 65mph.
U can be doin great and there will always be someone hating on u dont ever let that get to u cuz obviously they are jelous of what ur doin keep up the work tim much love and respect to ur whole family
Hey what’s up fam how y’all doing much love congrats bro I’m so very happy for and proud of you bro #GNSTRUCKING stand up checking in with y’all one love fam
Tuning in from New Brunswick Canada. Love the channel
Just remember the average price for diesel in Canada is 10 dollars for a U.S. gallon depending which province you go into
How much is $1 American in Canadian?
1.338599 CAD
1 USD = 1.338599 CAD Feb 12, 2023 01:32 UTC
😱
It is nowhere near that. At 1.80 a litre times 3.79 litres per US gallon times 75 cents US to the Canadian dollar works out to 5.12 US to a US gallon
It's currently 1.4 a litre on fuel cards it's similar to US prices, but better cetane than #2
There is no way I would ever travel back to Canada. The border was horrible they tore my truck apart an just left everything on the ground.. I was never so happy in my life to see Buffalo NY.
Sounds like Quebec. Not legal if they did not find anything. You can make them put it back. US divers normally have harder time going back to US than coming into Canada.
I basically had the same happen to me trying to cross into New York state, just not the Canadians doing that brother.
Wecome to Canada Tim love your show
Glad to see the freight shaker classic
You'll love trucking here in Canada Tim. And it might be worth looking up Sergei Dratchev. He's a RUclipsr as well in the Calgary area I believe but he use to haul heavy and oversized loads across the border. He has just recently changed careers to the brokerage side of the business but he could definetly have some useful knowledge for you for border crossings.
I think he left driving due to an accident where things got crazy for him as well as awful processing times for permits in Ontario.
Sergei is out of Cambridge, Ontario. Cambridge is about 45 West of Toronto.
@@jeffreycairns767 He lives in Calgary now, doing freight brokerage. Sold his truck a few months back.
You know why the Freedom Convoy existed, right? It was because Trudeau was forcing truckers going between the United States and Canada to get jabbed to even reenter this country from theirs and vice versa. It was very sad what happened to them in the end that put me in tears because they were doing something right for the good of us all that their evil government destroyed.
I'm proud of you Tim moving forward with your trucking business I wish you could come to GBATS 2023 this year
Keep up all the hard work. Love the channel
Heck yeah dude expanding out you made out pretty good with those donations that you didn't have to pay taxes on didn't lose a dime at all it seems like.

@@chrisbowman8415 He doesn't discuss his taxes. He's gotten like 40-50 case settlements. Plus he works full time as a truck driver...who knows what his wife does or makes....none of it has anything to do with not paying taxes. no dui as a driver. make sure you have a good broker at the border. don't speed the limit is 88klm not mph lol
also your truck has to be set no higher than 65mph or its a fine and must be lowered.
we had a sprint car team pull a car with that same rv 2 years ago...

Awesome news, Super excited, next level, and Big moves! In almost every video. Translation - We about to duct tape this Peterbilt together and make a 300 mile run.
once again... way too long!!
Junk in, Junk out 🤷
Tim, that truck looks terrible, both inside and out, and your priority is to take the factory mufflers and stacks off, and replace them with aftermarket stacks, so you can hear it, and watch it smoke, forget about the mechanics, I wanna hear that Jake Brake! They look like a good place to get a 2nd degree burn 🔥 to me....🤔
"We got some lights on it, and we got stacks on it"
"We're going to Canada, I want to go Worldwide"
Worldwide, really Tim, you might want to brush up on your Geographical knowledge, and take a look at a world map, I'm just sayin.....🤦
It's amazing how your trucks accelerate when bob-tailing, I'm pretty impressed. Is that a knock I hear in that Detroit?
