Pros and Cons of Using Binoculars for Astronomy

I've been into astronomy for 40 years. I've always considered binoculars an instrument to complement a telescope, not compete with one. Both telescopes and binoculars have their uses in astronomy. I like to use both together.

You are absolutely right. I use both for astronomy and have been doing so for a few years now too. Nevertheless, some beginners ask themselves whether they should start with a telescope or binoculars. As I said, I use both.😊🔭
