This video is really fantastic. It helps ro understand how th camera works. Your pictures are really amazing. Go on like that. I love your work. Thank you so much
Thanks a lot for your comment. I really appreciate your support Felix
well, just in time I'm studying about an old dslr with CCD sensor to for astrophotography
Thank you for your comment.Which camera exactly?
@FelixsAstrophotography down to a model it should be a nikon D80.
Sure u need a DSLR also a computer for post processing and a astro enhancement stacking program and to get images like in the vid 👍
Oh yeah, Atlas, i was tremendously lucky to see it with my naked eye on the second night it was visible, clear skies after susnet and the Moon wasnt up yet so i saw it and wondered, '' is that a comet? i didnt knew there were ones visible rn..'' and after i checked it was legit ^^
Thank you for your comment 😊🙏
Which brand is 10x50 ❓
Hi it's from the brand Olympus. I've already uploaded a video about it😊
Great explanation mate! I have one question in mind, while clicking pictures of the Orion Nebula, how do you account for the stars movement? Is it done in post processing or by manually moving the camera as the stars move? I’ve been wanting to stack images for close to a year now, so I’m hoping you would be able to reply sometime soon! Take care I’m looking forward towards more cool content from you
Hi. Thank you for your comment. It's actually quite simple. In this case I didn't use a tracking mount. Therefore the exposure time had to be relatively short. I then realigned the camera every 5 minutes. At the end, the images are all combined using a program. I also have a tracking mount. This guides the telescope and follows the stars so that there are no star trails. At the end, the images are combined again using a program. If you have any further questions, just let me know. I would be very happy about a subscription.
What is the maximum video quality in which you can watch the video?
so higher aperture give sharper stars, but with the drawback of letting less light hit the sensor?
Yes, exactly. If you use an aperture of F4 instead of the maximum aperture of 2.8, for example, the stars will be sharper but you will collect less light😊👍
man you deserve more subscribers, amazing work! loved it.❤
Thank you for your comment. Your support means a lot to me. If you know other people who are also interested in this hobby, you can recommend my channel to them. Do you also have a telescope? Best regards, Felix
Please give your opinion on 10x50 PENTAX binoculars..... I am going to buy this
I don't own these binoculars myself. But I'm very happy with my 10x50 binoculars. If I had to choose a pair of binoculars, I would actually recommend a 20x80. But you'll be happy with the binoculars you mentioned too and will be able to observe many objects. The nice thing is that you don't need a tripod.
Good stuff, keep it up!
Thanks a lot😊
how would you compare the bresser mirror quality to the skywatcher.
The optical quality of the mirror built into the Skywatcher is better in my opinion. However, the bigger difference in my opinion is the material that was used. The Skywatcher telescope is made of much higher quality. You can definitely notice a huge difference. The focuser of the Bresser telescope, for example, is made largely of plastic, but the focuser of the Skywatcher telescope is not.
😊nice images with your camera.
Thanks😊🙏
So nice😊
Thanks
thats my birthday
Nice. Could you also see the Northern Lights?
How much storage does this take up?
I just looked it up. The images in total require 4.48 GB of storage.
Good one Felix 👍
Thank you so so much🙏
Bro Why are you so unpopular
Thank you very much for your comment.🙏 I don't understand it myself too😊 Felix🔭
Tbh, what is the true color? Mine didn't go purple. Sadly I only got a bit more than 1 hour last night. Mine went more orange. My standard camera shows red'ish and yours goes purple.
Yes, that is the original color. That is exactly how I captured the Nebula
@FelixsAstrophotography did you read the comment? 🤔
Yes I did. I hope I understood your question correctly. You asked if that was the original color as I photographed it, right?
@FelixsAstrophotography I asked a question, because we now have 3 different color versions. My scope gives orange/red. My camera gives red. Your scope gives purple.
I have photographed the Orion Nebula many times. When I photographed it with my lens it was green. However, most of the images are purple. In the images taken directly from my telescope the Orion Nebula was purple too.
Nice one
Thank you
What about the exposure time of each frame? I'm starting with a 135f2 or 200f2.8/d850/SA GTI on Orion and i was thinking about making 30 sec-1min frames for 1-2h and collecting shorter frames for very bright parts. Trial or error ? Thx :)
I used a single exposure time of 1 minute. The maximum exposure time also depends on the light pollution. Taking two exposure times of different lengths is definitely recommended and helpful for this object. However, I had no problems with 1 minute. I would definitely recommend not using the maximum aperture of F2 or F2.8. If you have any further questions, please contact me.
@@FelixsAstrophotography thanks a lot :) i will try 1mn then and see the short exposure for the core. Probably 15 sec and blend if it appeared burned. Its appreciated
Came across this video and not really sure whether to get this one or the 150/1400 . Is the viewing of planets still good with the 750? I also found a dobsonian of 150/1200 in a similar price range but I feel like the telescopes with an EQ mount might be easier to transport in my car if I wanted to travel out somewhere, idk
If you want to choose one of the two and you want to observe planets, I would rather take the 150/1400. A telescope that I would definitely recommend would be a 200/1200 dobsonian telescope, for example from Skywatcher
Be good to see a image before stacking 👍
Hi. Thank you for your comment. I can do that. I will publish it in the next few days. This afternoon I want to upload a video about some tips for astrophotography Felix
@FelixsAstrophotography Look forward to seeing image not stacked 👍👍
I m new to astrography and do we need to take video or photo for stacking?
Hi. In deep sky astrophotography we use images for stacking😊
This is the best comet picture I have seen on RUclips so far 🪐☄️🔭
Wow.Thank you so much I really appreciate your support 😊 🙏
😮😅
😊
I had captured many galaxies with my phone (though they were not clear)
Which galaxies did you photograph?
@@FelixsAstrophotography i could only identify two : Andromeda and triangulum Most of them were faint and small. I could tell they were galaxies because of elliptical shape, but they were not clear. And some of them appeared red too
You sure about that? I can't even spot Venus at high noon...
Hi. Of course, that depends on where you are on Earth. I could have said that. I can currently observe both objects well with binoculars
It's because of light pollution. Go to a hill far from city
THey do NOT use a laser. They use a low poer LED.
You are absolutely right. There is actually no laser built in.😊🔭
🔥🔥🔥
Hi Felix how many DSLR Cameras do you have for astrophotography?
Hello, I currently have 2 cameras, the 2000d and the 600d. I will soon sell the 2000d and buy a Canon Eos 6d instead.😊 Which cameras do you own?
@@FelixsAstrophotographyJust have Canon d2000 looking at another one with a flip screen to attach to a telescope 👍
Hi Felix, I use a 600d (unmodified) and a 650d (modified). They are both great at ISO 800. The 650d is great for H-alpha imaging with an Astronomik 12 nm filter to capture areas of the sky like the Cygnus region, especially with a Samyang 135mm lens. Clear skies!!!
Will you try out the EF-S 55-250mm f/4.5-6 IS STM on it? That is what I use and my last photo came out really good, but it was in Bortle 3. If you see not.so.average.photographer I did Lagoon nebula.
Hi. I currently really like using the 75-300mm lens. Thank you for your comment.😊 Maybe I will also test the lens you mentioned
Hey Felix, I use the 600Da (modified) on my Skywatcher 130PDS. It's an ok camera. Since the PDS can't handle fullframe cameras - i have to stick with aps-c. I would recommend you to go for a 6D mk 1. I have 2 of them and they are amazing - even when they are not modified.
Hi. Thank you very much for your comment. I will definitely take a look at the camera. I am currently looking for a new DSLR anyway😊🔭
It is amazing how much you have to say about astrophotography. I love your videos.
I'm really happy that you like my videos😊 Thanks a lot🙏 Felix
Thats a really nice timelaps i saw them Like 2 months ago and the Chances are still high i mean the sun is Crazy active
You are absolutely right. I really hope that I can photograph the Northern Lights here a few more times
Currently looking to buy a dlsr for astrophotography, and I am considering some second hand options. Should i go with a 1000d for 150 euro (18-55mm and 75-300mm lens included) or a 600d for 250 euro with the same lenses included as the 1000d? not really on a tight budget but I wouldn´t like to spend a lot. Awesome video by the way, very usefull.
Hi. Thank you for your comment. I would definitely choose the Canon EOS 600D. If you have any further questions, please feel free to ask me. I would be very happy about a subscription. There will be another video about the Canon EOS 600D in the next few days.
@@FelixsAstrophotography thank you for the respond and also seen the new 600d video. Now I am considering getting a 2000d for 400 euro instead of a 600d for 250 euro; I know that the 2000d is better but they are not that far off, so maybe I should go with the 600d? Also the 600d has a flip screen which is helpfull.
Yes, you are absolutely right. The display on the 600d is really very helpful. However, the 2000d has significantly less noise. That is a very difficult decision.
What are your thoughts or experiences with 7artisans 10mm F2.8 II Full Frame Ultra Wide Angle Fisheye Lens or Laowa 10mm f/2.8 Autofocus Full-frame Zero-D lens or Sigma 14mm f/1.8 DG HSM Art Lens ?
Hello. To be honest, I only know the first two lenses by name. I don't own any of the three lenses. However, I know a few people who use the Sigma 14mm lens. I've heard a lot of good things about the Sigma lens.
The Orion nebula is from a star that exploded some 5000 years ago and the star was never named!!!
The Orion I used to call the flying man nebula!!
It's from telescope isn't?
Yes, exactly. I photographed this with my telescope
Nice
Have you ever photographed the Orion Nebula or observed it through a telescope?
Would this fit the Canon EOS 2000D? how does this lens compare to the Canon nifty 50 which is better if you know, many thanks in advance
Yes, the lens fits the Canon EOS 2000D. The important thing is that you buy the version for Canon EF. I can absolutely recommend the lens and I am absolutely happy with it.😊📷
