I miss my cannons... back in the day, like 15 years ago, I was a member of the single greatest forum; the spud gun technology center. There are things you did here that were almost perfect. The chamber fan! So good for mixing the chamber well! Metering the propane to the exact ammount is great, but you have to measure it by volume of your chamber and the volume of the meter going the gas law (p1v1)=(p2v2) where the volume of propane is 14% the total volume of the chamber. Then, you use a pressure regulator on the lp tank to find the pressure and volume of the meter... If you wanted to better control the speed of the projectile, I recommend building a pneumatic cannon.
Yes to the pneumatic cannon. My Dad built us a huge pneumatic spud cannon when we were young that used a sprinkler switch as the air valve, it worked famously. If I remember correctly, it went at least 200+ yards at a 45 degree angle. I wish we still had it!
Everything about this project is fantastic fun, really nice work! Never commented before but got to say all your content is super entertaining. Ammo idea to launch from the cans, Glow stick flechettes at dusk/night.
seeing awesome projects like the mantis blades is cool, but seeing you make something fun and obviously enjoy yourself doing so is a lot more fun to watch. this is such a silly but rad project
This is just pure fun! Love how you modified the sabot rounds to find what worked best. But the icing on the cake. Was that dip round. That was hilarious. Thanks for the much needed laughs.
I absolutely love this build. You know people just don't get you have to take a break from something sometimes when it's got you frustrated and then when you do something else you can look at the thing that's got you frustrated with a fresh set of eyes!
I learned something - had to google what saboted means lol - I knew you were a jack of all trades, impressed that your vocabulary is included in that. Kudos, smart fella'
Ngl I think the sabot design process was coolest part of all this Edit: ok it's a close tie between the sabot and that dip grenade. That thing worked flawlessly!
Awesome, the world didn't know it needed one until now. As ideas for the payload, rose petals for the best wedding gift delivered with 33G's! The "love cannon", ain't there a 70's band with a similar name?
At first I was like why chips instead of tennis balls or something reusable.... Then I seen the dip. I was wrong to question your ways. Trust the process haha I love it! Keep up the good work
How's you not gotten a Guinness world record for first of its kind : the 7ft long, pringles discarding sabot, propane fueled, breach loading blunder buss... Of doom!! 😂😂
This test video was AWESOME, however i would like to pitch the idea of possible making an extra barrel as a test piece to see if having an amount of rifling in it to make it more accurate
Now you need to make a All-Pringles, Fin-Stabilized Discarding Sabot (APFSDS) projectile. Just a dart made of pringles.
No. A Pringle minigun or sniper
@@thekingofgamers3350 _or sniper_ lmao
Honestly mashing Pringles into paste and reforming them as a dart would probably be easier than launching them in chip form.
@@ostentatious_patronizer Yes, exactly.
Armor piercing fin stabilized discarding pringles
APFSDP
It is deeply satisfying watching the sabots work in slow motion. Maybe you could try making a kind of shot out of cereal or jellybeans?
I want to see ice cream cones, the pointy kind :)
@@sortaspicey9278 would be awesome if they shot like badminton shuttle cocks!
Jellybean shotgun. Yes.
@@simoncleretide kinda like to see marshmellows
I'm guessing jellybeans would be the better of those, since they are more dense.

Lays Stax are roughly the same size as Pringle’s but they are thicker, might hold up better.
also pringles are made of potato pulp, not just potatoe slices
That looks so f**ing cool. The way that the thing bends, and flips, pushing out the Pringles... Wow!!!
I approve of the use of EVA foam in this video! Great work Jairus. =D
The amount of science is highly appreciated
I'm so shocked at how far this shoots
It seems like you could use that thing as a paintball bazooka. Also, someone feed poor Bryce.
Everything about this project is fantastic fun, really nice work! Never commented before but got to say all your content is super entertaining. Ammo idea to launch from the cans, Glow stick flechettes at dusk/night.
Absolutely ridiculous project, and absolutely incredible result. This was just, amazing.
This was such a fun "1 day build". Great job! I'd love to see gummy bears/worms/sharks etc.
seeing awesome projects like the mantis blades is cool, but seeing you make something fun and obviously enjoy yourself doing so is a lot more fun to watch. this is such a silly but rad project
I feel like your editing and video-making style has changed in the past couple of videos. I really like it!
This is just pure fun! Love how you modified the sabot rounds to find what worked best. But the icing on the cake. Was that dip round. That was hilarious. Thanks for the much needed laughs.
I love the testing and iterative design of the sabot. 💙 I'm taking notes for Nerf.
sorry but nerf exclusively uses flywheels now
That is an anti-tank rifle that shoots Pringle cans... GOOD GOD I LOVE THIS
Great way to tactically feed the birds! The gun in general looks very cool.
Oh to be a bird around your house right now. 😂
This is my favorite project of yours. It's stunningly beautiful. Both the model of the cannon, and the efficacy of it's shots. ❤
I am so utterly impressed . . . by your awesome, green, manicured LAWN!
Why do I love this so much?
@6:30 lol... "Task failed successfully!" you officially turned the pringles back into the potato flakes they were made from! a De-Pringle-i-nator gun!
I haven't laughed this hard in weeks!
The slow mow of pringles raining down over the picnic was beautiful.
Alright the wait was worth it!! Haha 😀 the video was great thanks!!
Legend has it, Bryce is still hungry.
I absolutely love this build. You know people just don't get you have to take a break from something sometimes when it's got you frustrated and then when you do something else you can look at the thing that's got you frustrated with a fresh set of eyes!
You are literally my hero.
Looks like that snap when the Pringles can opens and folds back adds a bit of energy to the equation as well...
Love that "thump" noise. Very cool spud thrower.
This is what science is for. Loved this project. Great student competition
Oh that was 14 minutes of build up to one heck of a finale!
Sabot looks incredible
The pringle petals in slow motion looks very pretty.
suddenly got a craving for potato chips for some reason ;) This thing is awesome!
I learned something - had to google what saboted means lol - I knew you were a jack of all trades, impressed that your vocabulary is included in that. Kudos, smart fella'
Jack of all trades except landscaping* by the looks of the side of the house lol.
Dude it’s a perfect Tshirt cannon !!!
Ngl I think the sabot design process was coolest part of all this
Edit: ok it's a close tie between the sabot and that dip grenade. That thing worked flawlessly!
Thst last shot with the chip and dip was accurate as all hell!!
Jairus, you represent the best of PA. Excellent work.
I enjoyed watching the spiral of the sabot the most lol
So beautiful. Can’t believe how far you guys go with a simple idea
Butter and popcorn would be something neat to look at.
The heartily best waste of time I´ve seen in a loooong time, pure joy and fun!!! 😂
Love it :) i want Pringle’s now
Awesome, the world didn't know it needed one until now. As ideas for the payload, rose petals for the best wedding gift delivered with 33G's! The "love cannon", ain't there a 70's band with a similar name?
You come up with some awesome projects.
I think this is one of my favorites
Orbeez shotgun spread. And damn nice seeing all that work pay off at the end.
It must be glorious to have so much free time and free will as to make a Pringle canon.
The RUclips recommended gods have smiled upon me
Please tell me you've reached out to Pringles. This is marketing gold.
this is why i love the internet
“The cardboard is reinforced with duck tape” is the most beautiful thing i have ever heard
Oh all those delicious Pringles!
This seems like a real YT banger.
This made me chuckle pretty good. Great job guys!
What a wild time to be alive!
The pay off of the dip shot made it worth the whole video.
Pringles HEAT shell.
you need more viewers and subs, now this is some fun n exciting content
The evolution of the unfolding can is very cool. Engineering at work. Most people would give up way before this stage.
I love the sound of it
so majestic
Dude this is amazing
god bless you and your work
Yes the sabots was awesome 👍 fantastic video as always 👍
one over sight that would probably get you better results. contour the foam at the base of the pringles pack so it follows the curve of the pringles.
This is making me want Pringles
me sitting in my chair wathing youtube while there are guys like this who make food artillery from scratch.
Excelent Pringles commercial
this was awesome to watch.... ya'll are awesome!
This sounded like something I would have seen on taofledermaus video... I am impressed and I want to make one now.
Sick build!
That was awesome!!
At first I was like why chips instead of tennis balls or something reusable.... Then I seen the dip. I was wrong to question your ways. Trust the process haha I love it! Keep up the good work
this is definitely a video pringles *should* have sponsored
Answering the questions we didn't know we needed answers to. Love it man!
Burritos at high speed sounds like a great idea.. lol 😆
OMG this is so satisfyeing to watch.
Nice work
Adam Savage would be proud
This dude could actually engineer a mortar in the field.
This is the real golden wind :D
This is why the internet was invented. ❤️
Awesome! It's almost like you intentionally designed the sabos to spiral away after flipping! This was a great project.
If you kept it firing really fast and sending out powder you would've had the coolest chip shotgun ever, but the final result was epic
Not me unironically eating Pringle's at 2:40am and stumbling onto this video😂
Really Awesome!!!
I really want Pringles now.
You guys are epic - and this is one of the best projects in my opinion - love it
"I attached a camera tripod so I could aim and fire Pringles more consistently and accurately" is not a sentence I'd thought I'd ever hear
now that is some tasty ordinance
This man literally makes Fallout 4 real wtf such a huge fan wow
I initially thought that was an amazing way to show your hatred of pringles.
But then you ate them and blew my mind.
Double-barreled snacktime - 2021 ( this guy)
This is great! I want to see soda cans fly out of this next!
How's you not gotten a Guinness world record for first of its kind : the 7ft long, pringles discarding sabot, propane fueled, breach loading blunder buss... Of doom!! 😂😂
Love the format of your vids! Just subbed. Love the separate vids for build and explanation/demo.
Great video,it would be crazy to see how many nerf darts you launch out out it.
This test video was AWESOME, however i would like to pitch the idea of possible making an extra barrel as a test piece to see if having an amount of rifling in it to make it more accurate
The picnic part gave me over the hedge vibes
