From my childhood people are talking that women are respected and worshipped once. But what I see I'm real life in India is totally different picture she is treated like an animal sold and bought in the name of dowry, put inside house as a servant, raped ,burnt and murdered. It makes me think that India is only good in talking good about their past just to forget the present reality.

I don't think this country deserve indian woman's labour because men in this country has provided hostile work environment for women. Even though reported rate of women in workforce is low, married woman labour and housduties is never valued. We women contribute more to the family than men. In most indian families wife has to leave her home to live with husband family. Her in laws will insist her to cook, look after children, take care of them and the husband along with office work. But same expectations are not placed men they can sit around home treated like kings and wife is literary treated like slave. Then there is sexual and verbal harassment in workplace most women working in organized sector face.
Rape culture and unsafe work conditions let women to avoid workforce at all cost. This is the reason why I am choosing to move abroad.
Women are treated like slave in this country. Female infanticide rate is high. India doesn't deserve female labour anymore.

its not like all women are idle. They help at home and kids, so men can go and work outside. the idea that if women work it would be double the work force is quite silly.
