4:15 Tips for getting legacy moves via evolution on Shadow Pokémon: For legacy charged moves obtained through evolution, the legacy charged move will always appear as the first charged move once you evolve the Pokémon. Therefore, if you did not TM away frustration and added a second charged move in hopes that the legacy charged move will be added through evolution, the legacy move will not appear and only Frustration and a regular second charged move will be there. If you TM away frustration, add a double move, and evolve it, it will know the legacy charged move as it’s first charged move and a regular non legacy move as it’s second charged move. For Pokémon that have a legacy fast move that can be obtained through evolution, you do not have to TM away frustration to get the legacy fast move.
I learned this the hard way trying to work around frustration during the dragon event. That lesson hurt. Another fun lesson - Dec Community day legacy moves don’t apply to last years com classic, which I found out with swampert.
Probably could’ve cut the video down and just said only use on legendaries and Lickitung. But there’s plenty of community day pokemon that you would want to use them on if you play PvP and if they haven’t had a comm day in the last two years. Just depends on what you need to build for PvP
You don't need com day events like gofest which actually had the com day move you could learn before the com day classic coming up give you elite moves during event got to read up on the event moves though since they do not put the move list for the old moves in game news have to go another website for move list...
Also. A number of these pokemon do get access to their legacy moves during go fests and go tour events. like recently, during the Sinnoh tour you could have evolved Rhydon and Gabite into their evolutions to get the legacy moves for free assuming you had the pokemon on you and ready to be evolved. For the small patience you can save dozens of dollars.
Thanks for the great guide Pokedaxi! Let me also say that Niantic making us wait years to get these moves through evolution without an elite TM is really terrible.

(also elite tms wont tm away frustration when rocket events aren't going on unfortunately) - i doubt very many players fall for this, but if u TM a legacy move off a pokemon u cant normal tm it back on. i used to hope once it learned a move it would stay in its pool forever but once its gone its pretty much gone for good unless u elite tm it back on. - if there theres a species of pokemon who all can learn the same legacy moves I.E. charjabug and vikabolt w/ volt switch, the legacy move wont carry onto the next stage evolution, it will completely randomize the moveset and the legacy move will 100% be lost unless its a special event where theyre already learning the same move from evolving ofc. i made this mistake when i had a lickitung that knew body slam and evolved it to lickilicky and expected it to still have body slam.
Something you never touch on is how you really don’t need to have ultra powerful raid attackers. They’re pointless because you’re always gonna be with a group. Eg, if you have a good iv Shadow Swarmpert , it still wants hydro cannon, that specific Swampert wants Hydro Cannon. Thanks
My man Bidoof has 4 legacy charged moves.
I don't see why they can't make the pvp ticket 50 wins per page. And give the stardust rewards for every 5 wins. Gives people more of a chance to complete it. Its so grindy and not everyone is massively into pvp
1:48 they have it like that so every mon that learns shadow claw isnt legacy bc if it were then every move in the game would pretty much be legacy
Question: So if you hit Rank 20 on GBL, do you get BOTH Elite Fast and Elite Charge or just Elite Charge?
Only one 🙁
Basically, just use them on the significant hundo or good shadow legendaries. Personally i would use it on the one i like or those i've already evolved
Thanks for the info much appreciated
I have a shundo origin palkia that desperately need spacial rend. My first and only raided shundo. Hope we can elite tm it at one point
It would be amazing to get a search string with all the relevant pokemon for top tms 😊
12:29 its worth it cuz as shadow zappy in oul its better with thundershock cuz charge beam is trash
Even for regular zap. Both are significantly worse in pvp without thunder shock
'Unless you're a gangster' 😂
Love this vid! Good reminder!
1:03 Hyperbeam sitting right next to them: 👁️👄👁️
As of now, Shadow Heatran is the 19th best in the game. You can remove frustration and give it its legacy move Magma Storm* in one blow!
PvP one seems harder to do. As there a lot of Pokemon trainers are super good!.
When i was a noob i elite tmd a bewear for a move that wasnt even legacy it was just the highest damage move
The video I didn't know I needed, thanks!
Great video. My problem is I forget about legacy moves and evolve things and then I go to build a party for a raid and realize i messed up :(
What might be good is a google sheet with the maybe some useful raiting; pvp/raid; wait for com day; elite tm if you have a good IV etc
The tricky thing is, for example, i have a 98% lucky level 50 Haxorus, but dont know if using the elite tm is more valuable on something else; because they are so rare. :/
Came for the info, stayed for the pokemon roasts
Feel like you always read my mind with these videos 👏🏻
for the upcoming Madrid Go Fest, can you please clarify where is North and South entrance at Parque Juan Carlos I?
THANK YOU I've been saving them cuz i don't know what to do with them ❤❤❤
Politoad is kinda cooking in pvp, I use him pretty often, rn I'm using him in the fosil league or w.e it's called, excuse me I'm new to this game I just started earlier this year, but I use him a lot along with lucario and sharkpedo, a pretty good trio
U can get 3 elite tms from pvp alone 2 from winning 500 matches which is not hard at all just time consuming and 1 at rank20
I just went through all my best Pokemon and the ones you need to elite tm I just got its second best move. I’m ok with doing that since I don’t really do PvP
Not me accidentally TMing Sacred Fire ++ on my Ho-oh lmfao I was so upset. But on the bright side I'm probably the only one on earth with that Mon and move 😂
WOW! Thank you!
I have a rank 28 shadow marshtomp(swampert) in the great leage but i only have 1 more elite Tm should i teach it hydro cannon when its evolved or wait until special event and evole it
Bro I agree with all your recommendations but I disagree on some of your hard passes! (1) Leafeon is great for rocket battles with "bullet seed" leaf blade (bulky). (2) Dusknoir - shadow ball....bro. Slaps in rocket battles. (3) genesect - Techno Blast why not demolish rocket battles with it? Wth you talking bout bro ...(4) 1/2 starters are great
Some of us already evolved our hundos or perfect PvP IV Pokemon because we didn't know.
Thanks for this video!
Great video!!!
Great video!
You get the Elite Charge TM right away, when you hit Rang 19, not the Elite Fast TM. You get the Elite Fast TM end of season for Rang 20.
I am gonna use it on Lickitung to get Body slam
Should I give my shadow Ho-Oh sacred fire? or is it really not worth it without sacred fire +?
