yes!!
The universe is made of... 🎵
3:37-3:48 for anyone who came here to just for that lol
I did
So had I lol 😂
The irony of watching a video on a topic this scientifically advanced... on a video in 240p.
IKR, that’s the first thing I tried: changing the resolution
2008 you're lucky you got that
Cynthia Thornton ..... Lol 😆 🎥📼📼📷 📸📹💿📀💽💾💻💻💻📱📱📱📱 📺 📻 📠☎📞📟📡⏳⌛
That's not really important though is it.
"watching a video on a topic this scientifically advanced" - methinks they reverse engineered it
You can tell from his eyes, he loves science and is so passionate about his job
agreed
Youssef Abdallah that's true you are right
Youssef Abdallah congrats u made such a discovery
this isn't science. this is a complete lie.
and that he's proudly gay!
brian cox is one of the best things to happen to science for years. he has the rare ability to explain the most complicated subjects in an uncomplicated way. if he taught science in school kids would look forward to his lessons
POV It’s 2022 and you’re trying to understand what’s going on
& now I’m scared 😭😂
Same
POV I’m blowing ur back out
Nah fr fam like this is my first time actually trying to look into something and it doesn’t look fun looking into this🫡
@@erinwalker_tv ikr
Gotta love Brian Cox.
The only thing I find more amazing than the physics and engineering here is that these guys actually persuaded politicians to give them all that money for so many years. Now that's genius.
*12 years later* lmaoo so true
Not if you know what those guys are doing. This is an old video. Do you now know what CERN is?
@@lukecage3485 that’s what I’m trying to figure out but it took me here

Anyone from 2019? We have the Higgs Boson now 😎
So what now
I was looking for this comment. :)
From 2036 here, we have B tachyon neutrino
@@briann10 is that you Mr titor?
No I'm still in 2009, that's awesome cant wait till 2019!
This is beginning to eerily resemble the ancient times of Babel, where sinful man tried to build building and technology to be like God. the Nazis also desired to get their hand on the ancient technology that man had eons ago into to open portals to other dimensions.
Hands-down some scary stuff that man shouldn't get into. Opens the door to dark spirits
It’s a big magnet, how is that dangerous?
@@imperialdoggo5826 Well duh a magnet isn't dangerous. You can't sense that I'm referring to things they aren't mentioning? CERN nowadays has a 4 dimension computer that is literally reaching in to other realms. Not even joking. Look it up. That's a fact

he's an amazing public speaker, I thoroughly enjoyed this talk!
I like the part where he says
"The universe is made of.. twelve particles of matter.. four forces of nature".
SAME!!!! :DDDD
Its a wonderful and significant story

@@heatth6414 why bruh?
@@oWelpy I remember that part too
The Higgs Boson used to be called the "God Particle"
It isn't called that anymore, because it's been proven to exist.

I watched this years ago and coming back and watching it again after all the discoveries since and the success of physics and science in general, it really makes me smile.
Dr. Ace Misanthrope make sure you keep smiling when they rip apart the fabric of our reality.
Ppl wake up they had a satanic ritual being done concerning this machine this is not a joke .it has the Hindu god shiva built in it also known as the destroyer.
I had the extreme pleasure of meeting Professor Cox this week here in NYC at the New York Academy of Sciences. He was a truly charismatic--full of logic and yet still warmth--sincere and enjoyable person to converse with over what is a truly impressive depth of knowledge he possesses. Great guy!
I swear hearing the way he presents the story of creation made me cry.
11 years ago,and i am watching now
I find it quite fascinating that only 6 year after this talk we've confirmed two of the theories he talks about: the Higgs field and inflation.
but the big bang theory is still a theory, making this whole project Cern nonsense
@@fekadesenbeta4103 it's not nonsense. Unproven facts aren't nonsense. They're mysterious.
Religion is nonsense by your judgement
H1N1 Christianity is a faith not a theory, I never called it a proven fact scientifically so don’t go there. Believing in God that created everything makes sense, believing everything started with an explosion that started from nothing is nonsense, yes. Science says, you need something to create something...FACT.
Monkeys don’t turn into men bud, believe as hard as you can but it’ll never everrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr happen...ever.
And literally hundreds and hundreds of prophecies written in the Bible thousands of years ago have been absolutely accurate, but do look into facts that go against your beliefs?? Takes a big person to do that.
@@fekadesenbeta4103 prove your God then jackass. We have evidence of the big bang, you have no evidence of your magic space wizard.
@@Matt_10203 actually quantum equations predict that the universe had no beginning. This is also what Brian acknowledges nowadays. Also if there was a big bang the universe expansion should slow down. Which it doesn't. Also, scientists do not rule out God. Peace.
These TED talks should really be shown primetime on television.
240p.. like TED knew that in 10 years from then, people would watch youtube videos on smartwatches.
8...8years
9... 9 years.
At least it was about actual science back then, and not identity politics and other nonsense like today.
12...12 years..
13...13years
It's amazing watching this now, knowing what CERN accomplished. Answers so many things Brian is getting at in this video.
I was looking for an inspiration to get get through the finals and now i am inspirated to get through the graduation!!
I love this guy. :) So enthusiastic about the universe's beauty that he makes it contagious. :)
Would give anything to hear him live. He makes Physics understandable
Saw him a year ago in Copenhagen. It was perfect! Next time you get the chance, do it :)

Really love his true passion for science and how he take's the time to break everything down to basic understanding.
Can you reiterate what his description of the reason (for the funding of the LHC) and what are the higgs particle/field in your own words? If you understood him clearly?
Awesome. Just awesome. He got through a large chunk of my undergrad textbook in less than 20 mins and I actually understood it a lot better from him!
I've already seen this Ted talk but sure I will watch it again
7:25 " higgs particle has not yet been discoverd!"
its funny how fast we progress in science =)
Did anyone else see the pagan opening ceremony at the particle collider?
Yes, that was insane.
Yes. 🤔 remember what happened after Lucifer & his angels fell.....what happened to Babel.....what happened at Sodom & Gomorrah.....”as it was in the days of Noah so shall it be when the Son of man returns” .... Beautifully put Mr Cox
3:43 for "Twelve particles of matter... four forces of nature"
I'm from the future, been to 2009, 2012, and currently residing in 2021 with all of you currently. You opened a black hole and created a whole new multiverse on top of the universe you were living it. These other verses are interacting with each other chaoticly. Things are changing rapidly. You guys fucked up. The future in my reality was too fucked up to live in, so I came to a time before things got too fucked. I see it starting here in your time right now. Ya'll gotta chill bruh.
I’m from 2022 June 29. Six days away from them starting Cern again (douple power this time though). Wish us luck, as there is a shortage on time machine parts now. 😆
I’m from 2022 July 5 at 10:24am eastern standard time = 4:24pm in Switzerland. CERN’s LHC started again 24 minutes ago.
Waiting for & welcoming the black hole at this point. 🥴
You got me there, but something this grand has never happened before in science. The collider is so massive and so powerful in its energy that I would come to believe that there is some type of danger to this grand experiment. It's possible it could backfire at the highest degree. Let's just hope it doesn't.

I can only imagine the vacuum leak troubleshooting that goes on with this machine. I imagine during the testing phase of components they modularized the sections of CERN and tested them individually. Tracking down a vacuum leak in something of this size would be very difficult, unless you have countless cutoff valves, etc.
I think the fact that he's gorgeous might just be a coincidence - what grips me when Brian Cox talks that isn't necessarily there with others is his enthusiasm and how clearly you can see how much he loves it all. It's adorable and it's really very inspiring.
Symphony Of Science
They are searching for eternal life and the process of manifestation. How to create something from nothing. Nothing doesn't exist because all space contains something. The something they are looking for is the mental plane or extremely high vibrational force. Dark Matter, Spirit, Triple Darkness, The Undifferentiated, Chaos, etc. These are all names for what they are looking for.
You forgot one “ demons”

iTZ 12 particles Of Matter 4 Forces Of Nature
I always love when "intelligent damn fools" try to figure out the CREATOR of this universe!!
Is it not the most beautiful thing? To be able to have a fraction of the thoughts of God???
Lady, do you know what religion is? It’s a crutch. A crutch for those too weak minded to deal with the fact that it was all an accident. The fact that you’re here, that I’m here, that everything is the way it was and is, is an accident. Had a single component or variable been changed, we wouldn’t be here. Think on that for a moment, and then decide who’s a “damn fool”
Make I ask if you happened to be fortunate to watch the SATANIC RITUAL held at the Gothard Tunnel?? It was blasphemous!!! I'd like to share a word from an extremely wise person.
"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith thr Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways, and my THOUGHTS than your thoughts" (Isaiah 55:8,9 KJV HOLY BIBLE TRANSLATION). Only fools think that they even can fathom being on the same plane as the CREATOR of the heavens and earth. I will give Brian one thing though, he has an adorable smile, and lots of enthusiasm for figuring out what Jesus has already done thousands of years ago. If you were to die tonight, where will your soul spend eternity??? 😇
."..and the fool has said that there's no God " not my words, it's in the Bible.
@@tylergarcia774 OMG I didn't know there were still people living in these times who thought like you! I mean since it's been proven over and over that all of this is 'no accident' but is a purposeful divine creation by an intelligent entity. ...um where have you been?
Only a fool could believe this is all an accident. Ever seen a Boeing 747 accidently created by a tornado whirling thru a junkyard? Me neither.
What is most amazing is how the research here is cutting the edge of our understanding of the Universe. That Einstein was wrogn that particles CAN travel faster than light is just amazing!

@gonufc At one point he mentions Carl Sagan as one of his heros and inspirations. Sagan would be proud, because he's got a more than worthy sucessor and someone to expand his legacy and keep on explaining science to people.
I am more or less aware of everythin Cox explained in this clip, but I'm speechless about his brilliance when explaining it, because he makes very complicated things very easy to understand. Something he shares with Sagan. I didn't know he was THIS good.

CERN is a monster!
Here in 2019 can anyone tell me why CERN have a shiva god of destruction statue cause last I recall I thought scientists don’t really believe in religion and that the CERN logo is 666 maybe trying to create a portal and fulfill the fallen angels quest
"Here in 2019 can anyone tell me why CERN ..." - heard about Shiva as well many moons ago. G-O-D: Generator / Organizer / Destroyer (which is Shiva). They did say they were looking for the "God Particle"
Keep digging. If you want this I’m fiction form, you can read Philip Pullman’s His Dark Materials.
CERN IS a Cabal Secret Space Programme portal: ruclips.net/video/oQWGYxjCUNw/видео.html
Cosmic Agency talks about it too: ruclips.net/video/CqMVs7ignY8/видео.html
They're even making submarines as spaceships to fit into those portals to transport stuff to and fro: ruclips.net/video/fZKPTOfmkDQ/видео.html :/
They would never need this amount of material and those vast distances for some research for particles, really. It's a scam, made to impress people and not question it because they say it is so. It's not. People think with their own brain what the common sense says and wake up to the truth.
And if scientists really want to find out what the universe is made out of pay attention to spirituality, cosmology, and especially Nikola Tesla's work and his words:
'If you wish to find out the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency and vibration.'
TheStarlightLass yes to all.
Brian Cox has inspired me to take a journey of learning at only 14. Thanks to his infectious childish glee, I am now in love with physics, and learning more about the universe around me, and how it works. (well.. obviously. physics IS how the universe works.. but anyway...)
I really hate when people call him unqualified simply because he's on tv, and simplifies the complex to make it understandable for all audiences.
