Mick is the guy in the green shirt and is lead singer of The Rolling Stones and David was a rock singer too but has passed away. Both good friends of Freddie Mercury’s. David sang in the tribute concert for Freddie. Watched it all the way, thanks for the fun reaction!
"David was a rock singer too" - really? REALLY?? He was one of the all time greats with an incredible back catalogue and vast influence on music, art and fashion. Show some respect.
@@jamiem4941 I thought you might realise that I wasn't being absolutely serious. But no, you decided to take offence and accuse me of God knows what. I don't know what's wrong with people these days, they get angry over anything and everything.
Mick was always Mr. Strut and one hell of a performer. He has a great voice that has not changed in the 50 years that he has been the lead singer for the Rolling Stones. David Bowie was a genius in his own right, he reinvented himself every time he dropped an album. Mick really does have this much energy, I have loved all the times I have seen the Rolling Stones live. This is so fun, thank you for this reaction.
This song was recorded especially to debut at Live Aid in 1985, with all proceeds going to the Live Aid Fund. I can't honestly believe that you don't know who these guys are. David Bowie (in white) was one of the biggest prog rock stars of all time and passed away a few years ago. Mick Jagger is the lead singer of The Rolling Stones, and is actually touring with the Stones right now. He's in his late 70s and still has the dance moves to this day.
Mick just turned 78 and he is still dancing like that. I will be seeing Mick lead singer of Rolling Stones October 29 here in Tampa Florida. This will be my second time seeing the Stones and I can’t wait to see Mick and the boys they still have that high energy in their 70s.😎 R.I.P. David Bowie🙁
So campy because 1985...lol...but I am so grateful I got to see both of these icons! My first concert was David Bowie's Glass Spider Tour in 1987 in Vancouver, BC Canada. RIP David ❤❤❤❤
"Dancing in the Street" was written back in the 60's and has been covered many times. It was originally performed by Motown group Martha and the Vandellas. I personally became familiar with it by listening to The Mamas and The Papas. They were a little before my time, but I appreciate their music anyway. It should be noted that one of the writers of the song was Marvin Gaye. Here is a link to the original version: ruclips.net/video/9KhbM2mqhCQ/видео.html
Thanks so much for the link. I’m in my 70’s now, & when I first saw this reaction to David & Mick performing it, I knew I heard this song before. With your link it brought back great memories beyond belief. Can’t thank you enough. Back in the 60’s you could play music out your windows (records or radio) & actually dance in the streets without the fear of getting hit by a car. Bless you for this gift down memory lane.
@@AudsVids I agree, loved them when I was a lot younger also. But, you have to hit the link provided to hear the original, & unless from that era, can’t understand why that song was so much better by the original artists. Now “California Dreaming” was the song best known by Mama’s & Papa’s because it fit that era. Everyone, everywhere, wanted to be in CA back then. It was the “hippie generation” & everyone young wanted to be part of it, including me!
Mick Jagger & David Bowie are Icons....David has passed away he this song with Tina Turner at Wembly. Mick Jagger has been the front man for the Rolling Stones since the early 60's. Both are from Great Britian.
This video is PRICELESS and TIMELESS! Two great singer/songwriters! The Stones are incredible because Jagger is an outstanding performer and singer! I bought this video years ago on iTunes. I watch it a lot. It always makes me happy! Saw The Rolling Stones in 1990 right after the San Francisco earthquake. They put on a performance that was a highlight in my life. They ARE “Rock n Roll”!!
Two skinny British singers who came up together in the 60s and 70s and were stadium rock superstars in the 80s. I think it's hilarious to watch them goofing around together and having a good time.
I sold mick jagger in 1988 I thought that was his last concert but he is still rolling. He Never stopped moving in his 60s For 3 hours and 3 stories tall stage
Adogg said my man here has been dancing since the beginning. You have no idea how accurate that is. Mick of the Rolling Stones has been doing his thing since the 70's. 50 years later & I just saw them last month here in Florida. Mick is STILL Dancing in The Streets.
It's amazing how fame doesn't last forever even with the biggest stars in history. Both are global legends (in the top 10 artists of the 20th century) and both were not familiar names to you or many others of your age group. I wonder if people will have heard of The Beatles in ten years time.
These men are both LEGENDS in the music world!!! Mick Jagger (and the Rolling Stones) is in his 70's and this band still rocks, today!!! The song, Dancing" in the streets, was originally done by Martha & The Vandellas in 1965!
Mick Jagger is an incomparable, he has so much energy and he never stops. I think you've been told by now Mick is the lead singer of the legendary Rolling Stones, he had a heart attack a year or so ago but he's back dancing in the street. David Bowie was the man, his work is so different, each song separate from the others but somehow blending together. He was a major star and was married to a major model, Iman. Both of the men are worth checking out more thoroughly, all of the songs are great...Fame by Bowie is a good one.
Mick Jagger *(Rolling Stones) and David Bowie very famous passed away a few years back. He was married to the model "Iman" Had children with her and he was still together when he passed.
People say the video is cringey. I thought it was a good one off type thing. I saw the Stones back in the early 70s. Mick Jagger will stop dancing when he's in the grave. And, even then I'll wonder. What is funny is the musicless video that takes the track off and just shows the moves. ruclips.net/video/BHkhIjG0DKc/видео.html
Just KNEW you`d love this!! Ok ,so we`re all zoned out on Adele`s new song right now ,but if you get the chance ,please check out Sinead Oconnor "Nothing compares to you".It`ll also give you chills.Garunteed.:)
For Bowie at his stadium rock commercial peak, check out this live performance: ruclips.net/video/gMu_3HmvPG0/видео.html His acts were less mainstream both before and after that, but he always had a core fan base that followed him through his more experimental phases.
I’m sorry to say this is one of the most embarrassing videos I’ve ever seen. I thought the same thing when it came out when I was a teenager. I have mad respect for David Bowie, but nooooo.

Mick is 78 and still dancing 🕺. Saw him last weekend in Nashville with the Rolling Stones and he's still got it!
So jealous!

David Bowie does a song with Queen called Under Pressure!!
I've been to a street dance when I was in highschool. People were dressed in everything from nice dresses to sweatpants and old T-shirts.

You should pull up the Early Rilling Stones from the 1960's, and Ziggy Stardust (David Bowie).
I enjoyed your reaction at least as well as any I've ever seen. Great job!
Hard to believe that so many people have never seen this video! And so many who don't know who Bowie and Jagger are!
They are so goofy in this it always makes me laugh but I live for it lol
