I’ve been buying synths for a long time. I’m old and jaded and not much excites me anymore. This looks fabulous. Having midi control sets it aside from 'similar' things like Subharmonicon or Lyra 8, and means it could blend much better into my set up. Bravo. Superb.
agreed, had the Lyra , but no midi was a big fail for me.even tough the design is different this one seems way more capable .(industrial design is not my thing tough, but I can live pass that)
@@faober3594 To me, the Lyra8 doesn't feel expressive enough, with a theremin and mic, you get to open and explore so much more potentials. Lyra8 is in no way a bad instrument, it just doesn't have these 2 features which give it so much more freedom imo.
This an admirably straightforward demonstration of a radically ambitious synthesizer. A great example of how experimental doesn't have to be pretentious. I've never supported a kickstarter in my life, but I would happily support this project. Bravo!
Great!!! France is slowly becoming the leading force in super extra synth inventions. I can just imagine the ALT with Onde from La Voix du Luthier. Hope the price will not be too high. 😀
Really interesting! I love when makers create unconventional instruments like this; thinking outside the box! Would love to get my hands on this... especially for my next Film Score!
Definitely will back up this project! A question/request, I hope a light version faceplate is an option, a light grey/whiteish one would be better and more helpful I guess especially working with the matrix pin holes.
It's a wonderful synth that is a little above my current synth budget (had the early bird been €600, I might have gone for it, and at €500 it would have been without hesitation) but I'm glad to see the Kickstarter got funded literally just within a few minutes. I hope you do really well with this one. Perhaps I'll get one some day, or whatever other synth you might make in the same vein later after the well-earned success of this one. There certainly is a market for something a little different like this, that is highly atmospheric, aesthetically pleasing even just visually, and with an intuitive user interface that puts many other synths to shame, so I hope you will also come up with more ideas or evolutions of this one in the future. Bonne chance!
Géniale cette vidéo les Vincent's ! J'espère que vous en ferez plein d'autres, des tutos par exemple, pour nous faire patienter ! Encore merci pour votre créativité !
If Forbidden planet were to be made today, this is the exacting synth to make the score. Such an expressive instrument, I would more than welcome it to my setup, but that all comes down to $. I am not expecting it to be cheap, but just hope it will be with reach, something that would be curing my frustrations to soundscaping. Wishing you all the success with your amazing synth.
there should be a tray or holes for unused pins. patch cables hold on to instrument connected only on one side. hard to imagine looking for small pins on a table or in the pocket in some live situations.
I love how it looks and sounds. I must say I am a little disappointed the pins don't seem to come in different resistance values, as is the case with other synths using pin matrices, but I would presume that would have increased the cost hugely since it could no longer be made simply from switched sockets (which is what I presume they are). It certainly looks cooler than a matrix of buttons.
@@cymaforma Yes, I spotted the amplitude per source, which is also great since many synths don't actually have that, and it can make such a huge difference to the sonic possibilities.
Wow, nice interactivity, controlleability, FORMFACTOR and great sound with character. Like a synthi in contemporary, little bit of Lyra here and there. But with CV. Definitely something I’m lookin for, especially on the road.
If my income balances willingly I certainly would love this instrument in my studio with launch pad, M-audio 63 work station and my electro Harmonix filter's beautiful design
Looks and sounds dope ❤! I see the voices themselves can't modulate each other... But I think there is a workaround by sending one the audio channels back to the env follower and monitoring in mono, I see tons of complex there 😁
This is a truly innovative design! The only problem I see is there are only five scales. This is the kind of limitation that would stifle expression a lot more than it would inspire creativity for people like me. If the creators are listening to feedback, this synth could definitely benefit from user-programmable scales/tuning systems. I think it already stands on its own in terms of how people will interact with it, but it could be applied to so many more musical traditions and styles this way.
Hello Warren. We're thinking about the possibility of custom scales set by users. If we don't implement custom scales, which ones would you like to see as default options?
This synthesiser not only looks incredibly good, it also sounds really fantastic!

Drooling… it is so elegant too

Absolutely stunning take on what a synthesizer does, is, and how users interact with it. Well done 👏

What an interesting looking thing.
I was always wanting a Lyra8 but felt it possibly too restricting.
I think if the $ is right, I will defo get 1 of these.
How much does this beauty queen cost?
I love this kind of "chord" osc like we see with dreadbox and the alt mode in Stages... so kudos!
Definitely will back up this project! A question/request, I hope a light version faceplate is an option, a light grey/whiteish one would be better and more helpful I guess especially working with the matrix pin holes.

Super cool instrument. Will definitely be the historic one. I will buy for sure!
Ohh wow, an analog synth with lots of possibilities but still with a straight forward interface. Amazing job 🎉
Gorgeous design. Love the functionality, very unique.
What a beautiful sound

A lot of power in such a welcoming format. Bravo!
Wow, it seems like you designed this specifically to appeal to my interests. Following! I’ll be backing this for sure.
Quel taf de dingue, c'est beau, c'est puissant, c'est inspirant et c'est unique. Vous donnez envie d'osciller avec vous.
Thanks guys for doing this - brilliant stuff and excited to get my hands on one!
Beautiful machine, I wish you a lot of success
Can't wait to buy this piece of gear. Great job!
It's like an early 0pn machine! I love it
Très chouette projet et l'usage d'une matrice de modulation est une excellente idée. Je vais suivre ça de près.
there should be a tray or holes for unused pins. patch cables hold on to instrument connected only on one side. hard to imagine looking for small pins on a table or in the pocket in some live situations.
This looks amazing,
I want one, and I'm also afraid of the price
Hmm I like this!
No screens and fader!
Sounds really great!
Instant Boards of Canada Album! 😊
Already love how it sounds! 🖤
Amazing!! The sound is so good. Harmonically and stylistically. Sign me up!!
Amazing unique Synth!❤
Beautiful on so many levels !
Looks super interesting. Minimally designed, but powerful. If this product is to reach market, I'd love it to keep as focused as possible.
Incroyable, the theremin as a bonus feature is just a fantastic idead. I just hope it's not worth more than my car.
omg. this looks and sounds so good!
Incredibly creative!
Now this looks exciting.
Absolutely love the sound from this! Can't wait to learn more.
Love it. Sounds amazing. Nice simple look. Will check it out further.
Les gars, ça déboite! J'ai pris une claque!
Très sympa. Je crains le prix, mais je le comprends d'avance... (les Sondiers en ont parlé ce soir)
This looks phenomenal! Very excited to get my hands on this!
BoC comes naturally to this
beautiful piece of art!
Très belle approche d’un point de vu musical, j’adore le look aussi, très curieux de découvrir un peu plus ce qu’il a dans le ventre!

no attenuation per destination, but you do have an amplitude control for each source (column).
@@cymaforma Yes, I spotted the amplitude per source, which is also great since many synths don't actually have that, and it can make such a huge difference to the sonic possibilities.
This thing looks crazy cool!
Looks and sounds great, I would love to get my hands on one someday!
It sounds really nice, I’ll keep an eye on the kickstarter
Love this, just signed up to your mailer
I can't wait for this beauty!
Wow, nice interactivity, controlleability, FORMFACTOR and great sound with character. Like a synthi in contemporary, little bit of Lyra here and there. But with CV. Definitely something I’m lookin for, especially on the road.
Would need patch/scene memory. Would end up losing good sounds. But sounds incredible.
This is amazing.
Très très cool, le fait de pouvoir le faire interagir avec l'environnement est une excellente idée!
good job guys, cant wait to try it!
absolutely beautiful sound and intuitive!!!
Love it. I need to get my hands on one.
Instant "The Clangers" (1969 UK) or Dolphins! Very cool...
Love this! So beautiful. Just to clarify, delay but no reverb?
Yes
Definitely great ideas here
Beautiful machine and great demo!
If my income balances willingly I certainly would love this instrument in my studio with launch pad, M-audio 63 work station and my electro Harmonix filter's beautiful design
Very novel approach, looks cool, sounds great! Congrats and wishing you a successful launch! 😊
The pins are a really neat idea 💡💡💡

I bet this gets them raving and dancing on their chairs down at the local relaxation clinic!
I like the look and layout
awesome demo! looks like a delight to play!
Man this looks really nice and makes me wish i had money
Amazing concept. Bravo.
ALT is now available on kickstarter! www.kickstarter.com/projects/cymaforma/alt
where to buy !!i need it ahhh
This is awesome
That looks pretty cool.
De plus en plus appétissant. J'ai hâte de poser mes mains dessus 😀
Sounds lovely!
Yeah, what a fantastic unique synthesizer ….great work🖤! Greetings 🖖👽
Looks interesting.
Very intriguing synth! Well done! What would be the estimated cost?
I am insanely hyped
Stunning. I’m in.
Cool device!

This gives me some energy 52 and 90s techno vibes. Would be interested how much this ends up costing
I like this. ❤ probably can’t afford it. But can dream.
Very nice, if i had the money i would buy it but i would guess its beyond my budget.
we're trying to make as affordable as possible! will announce the price soon :)
That’s lovely.
Intriguing device. Any chance of a matte finish in a light colour? That surface is all about fingerprints!
Love this 🟧⬜️⬛️
Looks very nice. Is the delay analog also?
It's analog core with digital repeats
show must go on
well done, this looks fantastic
il est parfait
How much !!!!
God forbid
Incredible ❤
super sympa ce synthé
Amplitude modulation and FM should have been added for metallic sounds, but it still sounds cool.
there is both :)
@@cymaforma Audio rate? Thanks!
I would say 34Hz max. (max. LFO-speed).
Currently the 2 LFO’s go to 60hz. In the final version we'll probably add a switch to each LFO to chose between low range and high range.
