All jokes aside, at this late date, (1890's) these surgical tools weren't used to let demons escape, but rather, used to relieve pressure following a concussion; a procedure which is still used roday.
That last item looks like a water sprinkler that is used while ironing clothes.. Sprinkle some water on fabric then use a hot iron to get a steam effect getting out stubborn wrinkles or steaming a pleat line onto pants . Just a guess, i have seen something similar but not exactly the same.
I am 85 years old. I grew up using a sprinkler. They never only had one hold. They had multiple small holes to actually sprinkle water on the wrinkled clothes. I do not believe this is one.
3:05 in - I have a 100 foot tape measure that looks a. lot like this one. - it was my grandfather's & is in great shape &. being from the 20's is very possible.
I didn't recobnize the match-holder as such, though I should have, but I did recognize the Odd Fellows chain logo. The folding winding handle provided the clue for the tape reel; I think snap-lines have a similar rewind mechanism. I agree with the two posters below me that the last item is a clothes sprinkler. I've never seen one made of metal before, though. The top reminds me of some 'spring water' bottles available nowadays.
I looked at that chain logo and thought "that's just like the Odd Fellow's but wouldn't they have the letters IOF or something like that above the links?". Ah well.
@@patriciagerresheim2500 Yeah, we have a big retirement home in the town where I grew up. My grandmother was a member of the Rebeccas, the Odd Fellows organization for women. She stayed in the Odd Fellows home for a few years. But I never knew much about them. But I remember that chain from stonework on the building that had been their meeting hall at one time - but I totally didn't know/remember the letters :)
How do I contact the channel to put something on this channel I have something that I would like to know what it is I think it is a cold war Relic related to the distant early warning line the dew line

Don't spend $3200 on a trepanation kit, you can get cordless drill and even the bits at Harbor Freight for under $50.
But these are so much prettier - in a gothic horror sort of way...

@@ersikillian - Yes, but today we at least have the blessed benefit of both anesthesia and antibiotics. 😁
NAAAA GO *OLD* SCHOOL.... find a sharp rock and just start scraping like Greatx420 grandpa used to do
Priceless!
Just remember to set the cordless drill to impact and use masonry bits.

Tom: "My wife went on vacation to the caribbean"
Harry: "Jamaica?"
Tom: "No, She went of her own accord"
Old Spice, use to have a similar vessel used to dispose talcum powder for men for completing a shave.
Those tape measures are still sold today. I have both 50 & 100 foot versions.
Can anyone tell me why you would use the door lever? Is there something about it being in a house in San Francisco specifically? 🤔
save yourself from walking down the stairs to open it and walk back up with the guest.
The last one looks like a 'Pounce Pot'. Held chalk dust for blotting ink. Maybe ???
Wow, I picked both the reduction gear from Iceland and the trepanation tools this time, a lucky day :)
Last item is a shaker for liquid starch, sprinkled on clothing to be ironed.

I have a similar 66ft steel tape, weighs 1.1/2 lbs, much heavier than modern tape.

👁👁 Always a pleasure
Thanks again @joniangelsrreal6262!
the last one is a pewter babybottle for the victorian era
Just a guess, half of a pair of oil and vinegar salad shakers.
Last one is a builders chalk line.
Last item: Bottle feeder?
Wild guess but it looks a little like an old salt shaker.
Last one Plumb Bob?
