बाल कांड -77 सर्ग
अयोध्या कांड- 119 सर्ग
अरण्य कांड-75 सर्ग
किष्किंधा कांड-67 सर्ग
सुन्दर कांड-68 सर्ग
युद्ध कांड (लंका कांड )-130 सर्ग
ईन सबका टोटल 536 होता है
तो इनमें भी 36 सर्ग ज्यादा है
उत्तराकाण्ड - 110 सर्ग
अगर सात कांड के सर्गो का टोटल करने पर 646 सर्ग होते हैं
लेकिन रामायण में तो 500 ही सर्ग है
यह सर्गो कि संख्या मेंने veducation वेबसाइट पर वाल्मीकि रामायण में ही देखी है
और युद्ध कांड के अंत में ही ग्रन्थ का महात्म्य बताया गया है

Prabhuji I am currently reading Ramcharitmanas but I also want to read the "Valmiki Ramayan" to get a deeper understanding of Ramayan not only this I also want to read the 4 Vedas and all the Puranas and Mahabharat.
But Prabhuji I have an issue I have heard that in order to read them I will need to learn Sanskrit as translations are not always correct.
Hence Prabhuji I was learning classical Sanskrit from the book called "Sanskrit Sawam Shikhshakh" .
But I recently knew that there are differences in word meaning in Vedic and Classical Sanskrit.
So I researched a lot to find a book to learn Vedic Sanskrit but I haven't found a single book till now.
Prabhuji you are very experienced in researching and you research on this kind of topics so I request you to suggest me a good book that will teach me Vedic Sanskrit. Prabhuji I cannot go to any Gurukul as my parents won't allow so I am trying my level best to read Ancient Indian literatures from home and that also from online pdfs. But Prabhuji you can tell me any book if I cannot find it online then I hope my parents will buy me that as they are not so bad also just being a child sometimes I feel it.
Pls forgive me for any grammatical mistakes here as I am not so good at english.

In my opinion just knowing the plain meaning of the sanskrit word is not sufficient. You need to know the context, mood, setting and variations of word usage.
It is better to seek a genuine spiritual guru and get help from him. In general you can accept translations and commentaries from gurus you admire. Otherwise you will be a PhD in Sanskrit but still won’t get the essence of the scriptures.

In uttarakhand when jabali tries to persuade Rama to return to Ayodhya. Rama mentions these "CARVACA" followers should be banished from the kingdom. Also uttarkand mentions Romakas and Yavanas i.e Romans and Greeks clearly talking about Maurya period. So either the whole ramayana is written during Mauryan period or uttarakhand is added in Mauryan period. You cannot have your cake and eat it too.
