Nice content. But I think you need to calibrate the camera with lightburn, the slight tilt you have in the preview is also clearly to be seen in the business card engraving. It's either not done on delivery by Genmitsu or has been misaligned in shipping....
Have you been able to fine tune cutting acrylic? Bought one right after seeing this review. Have an xtool d1 pro. Already gave up on it I love this genmitsu L8 just wondering if it will cut black and coloured acrylics or if use my desktop cnc for that
I can't imagine a tilt sensor ever being needed... The money spent on that would have been better spent putting a chinsey USB hub inside so that it only needed one USB connection imo. There's some good ideas there, but some things are just terrible. I mean air and DC in on the FRONT panel?! Still seems a bit like the other cheap ones to be honest, but glad you scored it free and hope you build some neat things with it :)
Hello, new user here. I cannot get my unit to make its first cuts. Need some help getting the software going. It’s a brick unless my computer cooperates. Need someone to walk though the software use. Any videos on that?
Can you confirm if you bought this machine yourself or if you received it for free for the review? This machnie is not more budget friendly than other well known brands.
Heads up, if you trace and then click your mouse to make a box around only the area you want to trace, you can save yourself unnecessary work and materials wasted. Good review tho.
Air Assist doesn’t seem to do a good job compared to WeCreat (Video 12:57). I wonder if the laser is so damn close to the board air assist doesn’t have enough air flow to circulate around the area. Cut may be good but the burn marks not so.

My 80w Monport has been down (broken) more than it's up. It's a large, expensive paper weight at this point. Currently waiting for tech support to send me a new power supply after already replacing a broken tube and tube mount. I'm really trying to like it but owning it for 2 months and only cutting 6 sheets of material on it isn't a good track record. If they can get their crap together and get my machine running for longer than half a day, I'll change my tune. It's been a rough start so far!
OK, what do you think would be a fair 'Budget Friendly' price for an enclosed, 20W laser? Now be careful, your answer will tell everyone how much you do or rather don't know about the tech and parts that make up just the laser module alone. This technology doesn't have very much markup.
Ok, so I do realize that a great printer is going to cost money. That being said, almost $900 is in no way budget friendly. Have you even seen our bidenconomy, er economy lately?
Yes I'm reminded of bidenomics every time I go to the grocery store, eat out at a restaurant or fill the tank on my diesel truck or tractor. But my TV tells me that the economy is great, so it must be true!
Bob, very nice review I don’t need one but after Watching your review I want to buy one!
I am impressed with all the features.
Thanks for watching!
Been on the fence about buying one of these, thanks for going over the features
Thanks for watching!

yeah, my manual says you need to do that and it worked fine once done.
Very informative review, if I had a real use for one I'd Buy it. Thank you for the review.
Thanks for watching!
Great presentation! Great style and packed with useful info. Thanks.
Thanlks for watching!

Very great review!I decided to choose between acmer p3 and this.
Hi, What’s the cost of this machine? It’s temporarily out of stock but just to see if I can considerate for my budget
Uh, those folded legs make it very easy to stand it up, that is great, and the built in camera, awesome
Thanks for watching

Why is the camera angle offset?
Looks very similar to a Roly
Thanks a lot for this video. Does the L8 keep your workshop fume free?
Yes I vent the fumes outside.
Good review. If you dragged over the smiley face in the trace window, you could have eliminated a few steps.

How was the fine extraction? Any smell?
Yeah it has a slight smell, even with the exhaust fan running. No laser engraver will vent 100% out. Thanks for watching!
Keep up the great content! Also, 1/8 = 5mm???
No, my bad on the measurements. The plywood is 5mm which is closer to 1/4 inch than 1/8.
1/8th = 3 mm nominally
1/8 inch is 3mm not 5 ?

Thanks for the tip!
Can it cut sheet metal?
No

@@MakingStuffIt looked thicker that 1/8th

Why does this sound like a scripted ad?

Budget friendly is not 999.00 dollars.

Not very well thought out I/O, having absolutely everything plugged into the front like that, is ugly as all Hell.
