aw mate, appreciate that, I have no decent pre amps, i go either straight in the 002 pres or comin in off the old behringer 2442 desk, or the behringer ADA8000 adat, I’m really happy with the sound of the kit, it records well, the room sounds pretty decent, total accident lol.

@@BenjaminGib I think the sound is fine, I’m sure high end gear might help, but so many recordings are using very basic home studio gear and not being able to reproduce it in the pro studio. The performance and instrument are the most important elements. I was reading hole in my heart guitar was a demo recorded on a cheap headphone talk mic, they couldn’t capture the same vibe so that made it onto the final mix, huge hit

I've been playing for about 7 months. I always think I'm getting pretty good until the ghost notes remind me that I need get a bunch mor reps under my belt. Dean is so clean, so smooth!

believe me, it’s never ending still, constantly doing maintenance so they don’t get sloppy, different heights, speeds, dynamics, lots of upkeep, but it can be fun too, make it interesting.

So do I. You have to admire the patience when the hosts are trying to get the caller to understand that they are in fact not providing irrefutable evidence 🤪. Drum related question: I note your extremely fluent bouncing ghost notes with your left hand. Have you any advise on how to develop that. I do all the usual practices with alternating singles and doubles but it seems impossible to get that bounce going!

@@pellepop100 oh man, it’s usually ‘book says a thing’ so must be true🙄i like learning about fallacies and philosophical discussions regarding religion. I play a lot of slow grooves quietly, filling in ghosts with my left hand, every wrong placement sticks out, i do it for a long time…playing loud and fast is actually easier than playing soft and delicately. So yeh, get some groovin cruisey tracks in your headphones, get busy filling in with ghosts.
