Halelujah, i'm finally vidding 'the tudors'.I watched this series nearly two months ago, and i have to admit, that i haven't ever been so impressed by any book/movie/show. You must watch it, it's brilliant, i swear. Indeed, i had no hope to vid tudors, just because i find it too complicated to express all the atmosphere of this show in one video, so i kneel before everyone who can stand up to vidding it. The tudors changed me a bit, i started to be much more interested in history, especially when it goes to history of england, so this thing is not just entertaing, but educational too.
I made this for 'One vidder challenge', where our aim was to portray the atmosphere of one fandom. It seems that almost none of judges watched the show, so i'll try to explain completely what atmosphere i tried to reproduce. The series shows england in a period of Henry VIII's reign. It's mostly focused on Henry's personality and his relationship with his six wives (divorced, beheaded, died, divorced, beheaded, survived, you know). The only adult characters who remain during all the show are Henry himself and his close friend Charles (the duke of Suffolk). From the start, they're two young energetic people, trying to live a full life, but by the series finale we see two helpless and weak old men, regreting for the time they've lost, all the bad thing they've done and people they haven't managed to keep with them. I consider this show is about the way how quickly does one's life run, how much happines one can enjoy and how much pain is possible to endure.
Luckily, i found this amazing song, which, i think fits this story perfectly: 'the decades dissapear like sinking ships' etc. I heartly hope you all will share my point of view and appreciate my applied efforts. i'm done now ;DD

You hardly see any Tudors videos anymore, and this is my favorite show. Period. I have all four seasons on DVD - and I'm a history major who loved The Tudors before the show, so it was heaven! This video really did the show justice, and much more. It's beautiful, inspired, and captured time going quickly and running out in the end.

I haven't had the chance to watch more than 3 or 4 episodes of The Tudors(and that it's been years since then),but I really have to say that this video is AWESOME.And it's not just because of this brilliant song.The scenes you've selected,the coloring and editing,the voiceovers and the way you combined them all with the music and lyrics, are incredible.It represents really well the whole atmosphere and plot of this fandom and it's obvious that you've tried very hard for it. :)

This is beautiful. I've only watched the first two seasons, but this made me want to watch more. It is an amazing show indeed, where pain and love and passion and loss are brilliantly executed. Not to mention the scenery and the jewellery and those spectacular outfits and dresses. I think you did a great job at portraying this show in your video, although I agree with you in saying that it is too complex to present it in 3-4 minutes, but I believe you managed to do it beautifully. :)

this is so amazing! i started to watch the tudors through half of season 2, but i didnt keep up with it. but this video is so touching and amazing, it tells the story of everything i missed. i love how you represent his moments with all of his wives and their stories. i actually really love the truth about henry viii and his wives, but this is so damn good. i actually subbed u because of this video, and i dont even watch the show anymore. amazing video. please make more Tudors vids

Awesome! I love the fact, that it goes through the whole series but puts the love story between henry and Anne B. in the centre...since she was the only wife, he really loved...and circumstances made him kill her...which explains a lot of the unresolved isssues he was carrying around in his later years....
