King Uther; King Arthur; Queen Morgana ('Camelot'); King Stephen; Queen Maud ('The Pillars of the Earth'); King Edward II; King Edward III ('World Without End'); King Richard II; King Henry IV; King Henry V ('The Hollow Crown' from BBC); King Henry VIII [and three of his queens: Catherine of Aragon, Anne Boleyn and Catherine Howard] ('The Tudors'); King Edward VI; Queen Jane Grey ('Lady Jane'); Queen [Bloody] Mary ('The Tudors', 'Elizabeth'); Queen Elizabeth I ('Elizabeth', 'The Golden Age').
I could also mention some other historical characters I used and even the names and dates of the battles, but I hardly think that anyone cares :D
So this is my tribute to some of Kings and Queens of English history. Did you expect me to be such a nerd, huh? Well, I bet anyone of my friends can tell that I'm just crazy about history of some countries and mainly about England ofc. I need to say big thanks to England for what I am now (this sounds completely weird, I know!). I dedicated a lot of time to studying it and it was all just from my own good because we learn only Russian history at our school. I'm very passionate about Britain, I love reading about its legends, folklore, monarchs, wars, traditions, culture... English history even inspired me to write two big academic works in English on different themes so, yes, I also did some research myself (and won the conferences with both of my academic works :DD). I bet it made my english much better, it even inspired me to start writing my own poems, stories, even songs (though no one heard them lol). So, yes, I made this mainly for myself, I NEEDED to make such a thing. It all started when I watched 'The Hollow Crown' (based on Shakespeare's plays that I read as well :D) from BBC last summer and the quote from the first film, which I used at the begining, reminded me of some other kings (especially Henry VIII being 'haunted by the ghostos he has deposed') and there it started. So the idea is really old but I got to develop it only now! And I don't care about using such an overused song at all, haters gonna hate. This is my vision of the song. You see, many overused songs actually have much deeper meanings than some vidders put into their works and it really annoys me. I'm not saying that I'm the only one who's so understaning, no, and I'm not saying that all the songs with words 'kingdom', 'crown' etc. are about past times and kings only, no! I just think that quite a big part of youtube vidders is working only with trendy fandoms/songs without putting any feelings into their works. I really try to be different and vid what I want to vid and I'm creating videos to express my own emotions, not to show that I'm a fan of sth or earn more subs and views by using popular fandoms and songs, you know... It's very hard to explain it, I doubt someone would understand. Well, I tried at least :)
So (I don't think anyone's still reading this), this was an attempt to show my emotions towards some episodes and characters of English history. I truly hope someone shall understand what I did in the video and even what I tried to show.

Hi, I love this and think that you have done an amazing job. I'm English and am very into medieval history and would show this video to anyone who thinks history is boring. I also love Shakespeare and am so glad that you were inspired by his words, 400 years after he wrote them. It's amazing that his plays about long dead kings can have an impact on someone from a totally different culture. It goes to show his genius once again, plus the talents of the actors and directors whose work inspired you to make such a great video.

The quotes worked perfectly, especially the Henry V one. That totally describes how kings' names can become immortal.
I totally get what ur saying about songs..some editing has become just about beats and nothing lyrical. Even though I only recognize a few of the fandoms/historic characters you used, the lyrics and matching clips helped it all still make sense.

This is a beautifully made movie. I recognise a lot of the shows that you've taken footage from, but it's clear that you (like myself) value the actual history of the people shown than the medium in which it is presented. I respect that a great deal - it is a testament to your sophistication and high regard for history. The movie itself is amazing!

I think this video is amazing. Thank you for including all the Queens, too. I just watched Richard II, The Hollow crown, this afternoon. I was saddened about what they did to him and the scene where he is telling his Queen Goodbye and sent her to France, It broke my heart. How awful it must have been for her. The song goes so well.

That was incredible! Ever since I watched Merlin I became even more interested in series and movies about kings and queens, and this video surely gave me a great list of things I still have to watch. And have to mention that i totally had a fangirl moment seeing Jamie Campbell Bower(King Auther) and Johnathan Rhys Meyers(King Henry VIII) in the same video, since i mean they are playing in the mortal instruments together as son/adoptive father..shorta its a confusing relationship .

I must say that this is stunning, and I completely understand you passion about british history. I have the same thing, maybe I bigger geek in english literature. Shakespeare and Austen saved me on high school and never left those books again. Anyway, I live near to London right now and its so amazing, its kinda place where knew I belong. Outstanding as always! What else can I say...this is magnificent! I never realized how many good films there are about British history--and there a ton of good ones out there. The wives of Henry VIII have always interested me more than my own country's history at points. I haven't seen "The Hallow Crown", but I've seen "Henry V"- the one from the 80's--it's really good. THIS VIDEO IS AMAZING!!!!!
