Just to share that, I am proud to say that, this system is followed in my school -Atul Vidyalaya. And we have wonderful educational system and teaching strategies at school.
Hamare India mai Exam ke Time assignment aate hai har subject mai 25 page assignment likhne hote hai.
I drank books one day prior to exams and managed to pass with 75%.

The diploma and Btech also follow this structure as internal and external 40 -60 split.
At my university.
But the school system is poor because of "sarb shiksha abhiyaan" started by uk us elites MNCs puppet Manmohan & PV to break the math science education.
Its due to the pass fail not the interest by teachers.
For example our principal ordered mandatory 75% attendance for final exam next day i have seen more numbers of students in class.
While in PDP classes for which no final exam are conducted no one attends but imo those are most interesting and full of fun classes. I learned a lot in classes.
In Chandigarh university the backlog fee is 7500 rupees per subject while, some govt. university have only 500.
And usually the students of Chandigarh university have less backlogs then PTU due to the only reason of higher cut on pocket.
Its totally a political problem and the solution is also political by notifying good drafts in the Gazette of India

It is the Jury system in US Canada Europe which make these countries far ahead from others like India.
Because in india the Nexus of judges, govt. Officer, police and politicians harass small and medium manufacturers/ factory owners. Due to this their more time goes on dealing with them rather then their work.
The day the citizens of India demand and notify the #jurycourt law draft in the Gazette within 5 years India matches the standards of Canada and in 10-15 years the engineering capability like US.
Manmohan singh left the government 8 years ago why is education system still the same then? Plus manmohan is is a phd holder something which you and your next 5 generations wont be able to get. Obviously no! This all is in India as well, most colleges abroad take 30-40% only in exams, and other is your real development and talent
Bro now the system has changed for CBSE its 50/50 for midterm and finals
For midterm exam 35 marks out of 50 are for tests and rest 15 for presentation and files same is for finals then they combine it for 100

The reason they put 50 -60 % as pass because they do not study as much content as India does. Also here practical experience is less until you start work. Additionally, as a uni student you are expected to learn everything by yourself.

So quizez are usually online on college’s website which is student’s blackboard so there is a timer and we can complete the quiz in that time
