Violetta, Got out this morning to the pier and fished from 6-9 AM. Skim ice over most of the channel and had to move to the end of the pier to find open water. Caught one small perch. Three other fishermen out: came after me/left before me. Didn't see them catch anything. Hope you're having more success. Jim
I have heard similar reports as well. Try the Chicago River. I was out there last week and found a good size school of perch under the State Street bridge with several keepers in the 9"-11" range. There is water discharge there and it seems to be attracting them. If you can't find them there, try under the other bridges as well.

@@jjd8277 thank you so much for the update! I actually got out to the pier early yesterday and didn't get any so went and walked down the Chicago River and made a video about fishing at each one of the bridges. Where is Violeta?????
I've just been busy working my business and fishing 4 tournaments a month!!! i have been wanting to put out videos again now that I partnered with several companies, especially Lake County Watersports in Wauconda IL and I am running a 2023 Skeeter FXR20 Limited. My goal is to get shorter videos up to show tips, tricks and info on fishing... so I'm just trying to figure out the whole "time management thing" between trying to pay bills and fishing, lol.
Not a bad day I would say😀
Every day is a good day when I am fishing...even if I am not catching. But yes, it was even better because I was able to fill my freezer with the best-tasting fish in my opinion.
Violetta Talley absolutely, good fishing ahead of us all!
Why did you stop uploading you had something going here 😒
The camera is awfully too close to the edge of the seawall... Consider securing it with a cord or something.
We love your videos! Especially underwater footage! U Da Best! Lookin' HOT!
AWESOME!!! Thank you for watching... and I actually really appreciate your comment and will definitely take it as a compliment! I have been working hard on myself this past year, and even though I surpassed my goal, I will be working on it every day to be as healthy as I can be... so THANK YOU!!!!!!!
Clip that tag end lol
When my fingers are numb in 25 degree weather, sometimes I jjust get a little lazy with tying and clipping....LOL!!!
What kind of underwear Camera were you using
Nice catches!! 👍🏽😎🎣🐟 🐟🎥 📺 🐟🐟 📷🐟🐟 📷🐟😎👍🏽 new sub.
Thank you so much!!! There are so many perch down there... it's hard to get to the big ones sometimes!
Violetta Talley I tend to hear that sometimes the smaller or younger fish are faster and more aggressive than the bigger/older fish. You still got great footage. 👍🏽🎥
Got to use perch eyes instead of buying chicken for bait. 👁️
Good luck today
Thank you! Unfortunately there were no perch in most of the harbors.... =(
Well that sucks was water still mucky
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Stop picking on Ron
NO! He deserves it for not catching fish!!!! LOL
Great job on catching. Please kill your fish immediately and dont let them suffer out of the water flopping around?!
I will definitely take that advice. I was VERY surprised to see that 1 or 2 were still moving after hours of being out of the water.
@@ViolettaTalley Thank you!
@@ViolettaTalley How do you kill them? I've seen some people simply take a pair of scissors to the flesh underneath and between the gills (which is apparently their throat?) and others put a knife through their gills. I'm not sure about cutting the gills though because I'm not good with blood (someone else is filleting them for me so I avoid that mess too)
