You can use preservative. Lemon gives them about a week alcohol about a week or more depending on how you've made it. Also traditional cakes last long they don't need to be refrigerated. It's these modern cakes with alot of liquid and little eggs that don't last long. Then fruit cakes go to even up to a year. Also you let the cake cool enough don't cover in a tin when still warm and don't use too much liquid it will last.
Just a warning Suzy, the names of the templates you use for the recipe and title cards are still visible- maybe you need to delete that in your design software, or your editor needs to? Anyway, it doesn’t make much difference to me, the recipes are amazing and I love your content just as much! Just thought you should know.
