@@ShambaniFarm sir actually I bought a boer goat.her owner told me at that time that she is three months pregnant. And it's now her 3rd month here with me. How can I check that is she pregnant or not..
This is good. Nice farm and a healthy flock. How did you train them to be well behaved like that? My question is on those pens, that wooden flooring. I know many farmers recommend that, but do you have cases of hoof injury, especially on the kids? How do the kids manoeuvre in there?
Regarding training them to be tame, well naturally boer goats have very good temperament. But to help them be more friendlier we srart being close to them since they are kids. We touch them a lot and feed them a lot feom hands esp using kids so that they are not scared.
Just wondering how much milk you get from the alpines? Isn't their capacity to produce more milk limited by their movement on the farm? otherwise well done for the good works. i farm meat goats in Uganda near Uganda and Tz border.
Well they produce more than the local breeds and boers. At the moment though I'm not focused on milking them but more on their multiplication first. Later on when I get the optimal numbers then I will focus on maximizing their milk output through zero grazing and supplements.
Thex for ur works chief... bwogie m planing to get some breeds from ya bt acquiring land z stil an issue bt we need to tok infact u can help mí with land acquisition far from kampala z fine..... Gat issues coz a travel alot u can be Of great help
Depends with your objectives but for meat I would say the boer has no peers. Kalahari Reds are also good and very similar to boer but overall boer wins.
It all depends on available resources and size of operation you want. For example, if you have land already and other resources ready then its very possible!
Wonderful farming bro. Goat looks very happy and healthy

We keep the kids in their own special pen which has smaller gaps than those of the adult pen.

Hi sir, can you please tell me why you use the bells on the goats please! What is it for?
Mainly used when animals are taken out for grazing to help the herd boys know the location of the goats at all times.
I've always wanted to raise goats large scale !
