He actually sounds better live. There's more aggression and power in his voice and it's somewhat more dynamic too. At least in many of these old gigs. On the record it's slightly more "polished". I think his voice is the best in all history of heavy music of its kind, even though there are many others too who are also amazing, but no-one can touch Blackie and the power his voice has.

Blackie is not dancing per se. This is the best footage of Blackie Lawless performing "The Ali Shuffle" (as in Muhammed Ali), and Blackie does it as well as Ali too. Check out Ali's early black and white films of his fights when he was 'Casius Clay', and so vs Sonny Liston et al. The Liston fight, when Liston is getting knocked down and Ali is taunting Liston over his body, for example is where you will see where Blackie gets his moves from. I love it! Who does that kind of beautiful move today?

Re-verb. Everyone and I mean everyone in the 80s used it on bass, drums, keyboards, guitars, vocals. So a musician could stop playing and the guitar would still play.
His bass notes are not matching his playing, and sometimes you can hear bass notes when Blackie isn't playing. I am a big fan of him, and the whole band, but it's funny to see that they used backing tapes.
It's embarrassing what blackie went from the dark image saw blade to dancing around like Paul Stanley with feathers smh. It was definitely a step down for the debut
