A much better British national anthem could be created from this magnificent piece of music. Along with suitable lyrics I’m certain people would be delighted to sing it out with pride and gusto.

My mum is new to classical music at the tender age of 82. This piece is one of her favourites right out of the gate. Good choice mum.
Noble, yet with that indefinable melancholy that can find its way into truly memorable English music. Elgar was
a master of that sort of music making.
