It's rare will listen to an hour long interview but this was excellent. Covered lots of interesting topics very thoroughly. Thanks to both of you. Lynx touch sounds like a great first poly to try.
This guy is a legend, always willing to talk to you and TW, and great content comes out of it. If shipping to Brazil weren’t such a hassle I’d love that demo of the Lynx Touch haha. Not sure if the resellers have them here already.
I love that HEAD has a variety of frames on the market each season. It ensures that every type of player and each playing style can be accommodated. 💪🏾
Great stuff! Really appreciate your work and Dennis‘ engagement! This really speaks for head and their customer centricity. Would love to test the boom pro & Lynx touch.
Love lynx tour. I've used it in hybrid setup with head velocity mlt (both combos). It has really helped elevate my game coming from a full Multifilament setup that frayed way too quickly. Can't wait to try lynx tour in the mains and lynx touch in the crosses.
Really enjoyed this discussion; thanks to both of you. Lynx Touch sounds like an interesting proposition so I'll definitely be trying it out as I search for stringing nirvana. Innovation in the string market is so difficult, as you discussed, so it's great to see a major player like Head is trying to bring new ideas to the table.
Oh man I can't wait to try out Lynx Touch. I started stringing my own rackets a few months ago and my whole life has become absorbed by trying out strings and hybrids and tension
Nice hearing more from Dennis! Haven’t tested as many strings as you Jonas, but from the two weeks I’ve had Lynx Touch, I’ve noticed it pockets the ball the most I’ve ever felt on any string. Definitely more of a control string, since I felt you need to bring your own power.

Would love to try it. Using a regular poly right now is a challenge so much that I am going quite soft to not hurt my arm and have some feel. Keep me in mind. Thank you.
Would love to try the head lynx touch!! Currently deciding between head lynx tour with velocity mlt in the crosses, vs full bed lynx tour on an extreme tour. Would love to see if this strikes a better balance for touch and less harshness.
Great review - would be very interested in trying this string.....I use a hybrid of Poly Tour Pro and Head Velocity MLT in the crosses. Sounds like a great option to try! As always, thanks Jonas for your content!
Excellent interview, and Dennis Fabian is always a great source of balanced information without any hype or overselling, even if one would excuse him from doing so given his position with HEAD. Lynx Tour is my primary cross string choice in my string setups which are gut-poly or poly-poly. For a firm poly, it plays with excellent comfort compared with say Solinco Confidential which is similar on the lab measurements, but feels much stiffer in play. As Denis said, it’s not always about lab numbers but how it plays on court. Would love to try the new Lynx Touch string. I’m guessing it’s will not be quite as soft as Lynx which arguably is one of the three most comfortable polys available on the market today.
@@Tennisnerd Thank you Jonas and Denis for facilitating the two sample packs of Lynx Touch 1.25 which I received via DHL from Kennelbach this morning. Looking forward to trying it out soon! Most grateful for getting two sets since that means I can test it in full bed as well as a hybrid, which is my preference. Likely try Lynx Tour in mains with Touch in crosses. Full review and acknowledgement will be posted to TTW.
I have got my head speed with my favourite set up full bed Hawk. I have Lynx, I have got Lynx edge. Looking forward to try linx touch. Greetings from Canada.
Great interview and provided lot of information. It does give me confidence when I heard a high pitch pop sound knowing I hit the sweet spot directly. The low pitch sound would mean I hit off the sweet spot or not a full plough through. Would be interesting to test the new strings from Head.
+1 to making the Lynx Tour in black (Tried Lynx Touch in a Boom Pro demo--hard to tell how much was the string and how much the racquet, but it was real soft and pockety.)
I'm a big fan if Head Lynx strings. Love the idea of a softer Touch version. Touch's construction sounds like another softer-playing poly I've used, Prince Warrior Response. It also has a wrapped core-like construction as described in Touch. Warrior Response a great soft cross to use with a stiffer, shaped poly main, because it holds up against notching better than a multi or syn gut (nat gut is too much $$$ for me).
I would really be happy to test Head lynx touch! I interested in this particular category and prefer now Element 1,25. Rpm soft is also interesting but maybe too soft and strings stuck out of positions. So i can’t wait to try new head touch strings!

What a great interview and talk. I'm really interested in the new Lynx Touch, cause i've drifted away from a hybrid setup 'cause of the riffeling multifilament strings. And in northern Germany you have quite a few humit days in the year, so that gut isn't a great choise eather, unless you don't have to care about money :D On the topic of racket sound I just don't like the "long" ring out if you play without a dampener. For me it's just distracting, if the racket is ringing to long. The pitch doenst bother me that much.
I've just tried the YOU GOT THIS racquet in Thailand and I enjoyed playing with it. However, it was already demo-ed by many people already and the factory set string was certainly not premium. I would love to know and play with that racquet with the Lynx Touch in both the YOU GOT THIS racquet and my current racquet of choice the Gravity Pro with Lynx Tour 17 Gauge inside.

I understand that the weight could be a issue but maybe bit lighter than the actual racquet weight the pro's are using but at least something very close because so can experience what it is to hit with a pro racquet is a bit unfair what we have to keep up with we should have a choice at least. Would be interested in testing Lynx Touch Great convo, Jonas! As far as sound feedback, like using a dampener to get more a low pitched “thud”. My ezone had an annoying higher pitched pinging without a dampener. My PS97v13 not so much but still put a dampener to further lower the resonance pitch.
M 2c to Dennis regardng raacket sound wth and w/o dampener. Pllaying with daampener since I was a kid, I immidieately get distracted by high pitch ""twangy" sond when I lose my dampener. Thx for a GREAT interview. RE: sound, i have zero opinion, lol. I just like to hit the sweet spot, lol! I have recently purchased Head MLT (16) for the first time and am anxious to see how I like it or not. I assume I will be breaking strings more regularly. After Dennis suggested changing stings more often I was wondering can anyone please set me straight on whether I should entertain the idea of getting my own string machine? I have no idea where to start the research and have never strung a racket. I currently pay about $18-$20 for the labor and I bought single sets of Head MLT for about $9/set. I'll be stringing primarily for myself, daughter and her fiancé. I do want her out of the poly string and will try MLT 16 and see if she likes that and also try MLT 17. Then maybe the LYNX TOUCH. Total cost to string is about $37 when the stringer provides string, which I will not allow any longer. So any advice would be much appreciated. I just know I want to move away from poly to protect wrist issues developing.
