I have one of the early models, and I'm glad to see that Oberwerth have swapped out the original buckle for a cobra clip. The first buckle so far has been secure but feels flimsy. The cobra is a huge step up - I used them on my paraglider harness 25+ years ago. The twin clip mechanism cannot accidentally open. I might have to see if I can upgrade the buckle myself. As for the sling, I find it generous for a single M body 2 lens setup, with space for lots more. However it's just too narrow to carry two M bodies side by side (baseplate down) - and I don't feel it's made to comfortably carry that much weight given the lack of structure. The Ona Rockaway would be a better option for that. It doesn't look "tacti-cool" like the ballistic nylon and X-Pac models out there and won't be confused for a laptop bag. But stealthy it's not - the supple leather will alert would-be thieves there's value in the bag, regardless of what's inside.
When it was new, nobody bought the EF-X20 unfortunately. Now that it's gone, everyone wants it, which obviously drives up the price. As for Oberwerth, ya, not cheap. Just remember it's made in Germany using premium leather and hardware. It's not fair to compare with mass produced bags using cheaper materials and even cheaper labour in overseas developing nations. We just get use to the subsidized pricing using third world labour and mass production here in the West. But I understand it's hard to justify that price when we're use to paying 1/3 or 1/4 the price to something similar.
@@bigheadtaco I wish I'd known about the X20 when it was available. Always late to the party, it seems! Re: Oberwerth, I totally get it. I'm an advocate for quality and sustainable production. It was just sticker shock, lol. The ReLon line looks like a reasonable alternative to the premium leather models.
No mystery, she's my wife. In the beginning she was my videographer, and she didn't want me to use her name so she asked to be nick-named Camera Girl. That was over 10 years ago. the nickname just stuck.
Everytime I see any of you shooting a video with the Osmo Pocket 3, extremely convenient with more than decent credit quality, I think this is the greatest photography gear of the last 2 years. By far. Happy new year Tako!
I have this bag and carry my two Q3's in it and a lot more gear. I have found I can carry more in this bag than the 13L Nomatic McKinnon bag! Really! But not as much as my Wotancraft 10L. (except for my 14" MBP of course that fits in the Nomatic 13L and Wotancraft 10L Pilot). I hook my hero clip on the strap connector (opposite of the cobra clip end). HEY! There's an AirTag pocket inside the front zippered pocket on the left side!!

Fuji is so dumb to discontinue the X20 flash. Good tip on the iM30.
Holy balls, Oberwerth is expensive...

Why all the mystery around “camera girl”?? Who is she?
