I bet Hugo and Liberty take part in LOADS of extracurriculars and have multiple tutors. But not on their own volition. Every time they have a free moment they hang out in the city (or with Isla and Zach). Idk why but Liberty gives off Effy Stonem vibes. She is REALLY smart and witty but resists the authority, that’s why their school teachers despise her. Hugo is the younger one but is the big brother in their relationship dynamic. He has the highest points for ‘conflict resolution’ and ‘responsibility’ values but is kind of envious of his sister’s ability to give zero Fs. So they sort of balance each other out. As much as they don’t want to be like their parents, they low-key reflect their traits. Liberty is like her father (has a tendency to be hot-headed and assertive) and Hugo is like his mother (inert and reasonable).
The sizing down counter trick works with the island counters without the need of the tool mod (I'm a console player, so I love hacks that I can use too 😊). The great thing about using the island counters is that bar stools will still snap to them as well as the surface working. I've found it really useful for making custom built in desks using sized up shelves 😊
Just to add though, although a laptop on a sized down counter is fully functional, you sometimes need to click to sit in the stool first and then click to use it 😊
I don't think those parents would let the nanny sleep in their room when they're not there so they either make her figure out her own accommodations or they don't know she stays there 😂
or there's a tiny campbed shoved into one of the cupboards and she needs to get it out every night and put it away by morning. It's the most uncomfortbale thing 😂
As the storyline progresses, I foresee that Sterling has been exploring his identity and is currently having a thing with his hot secretary. They tend to go on weekend "office retreats" often. Which leaves Rita to her own devices at the country house and is also probably trying to seduce her gardener (or pool guy!) who most definitely is a biker. Rita and Sterling never really loved eachother, they only got married as both their families were extremely wealthy & influential, and it was to appease their own parents. I'm in my soap opera era, don't mind me 😂 The kids are, as you said, nothing like their parents and have a really close relationship with their au pair who has been with them since they were toddlers. They're also fiercely protective of eachother and can't wait to turn 18 so that they can have independent access to their trust funds and disown their parents! PS oh dear that was longer than I intended, but for some reason this family really spoke to me lol

Like, he decides to take a step back from his job for his mental and physical health, and she reevaluates her own job and whether it's the best thing for her. Both of them could take the time to improve their relationship with their children and bring some life into their marriage.
That mother wanting a bit of trade, make a silver daddy muscles for days, spends his days topless or shirt unbuttoned voice like Sam Elliot, goes jogging around the city. I make these sims a lot in my game, an adult white haired fox. The kind of guy you give your friends the side eye to when they go past because you both appreciate the view that had nothing to do with the scenery. Give him a young adult daughter who is the kids nanny or minder who knows how to look prim and proper when the parents are around but is a laugh and everyone adores her, young woman who wants those kids to have a life other than endless music lessons and cold formal dinners.
I love this storyline! I imagine that the siblings are so close that they have a “secret knock” on the wall they share in their bedrooms when they need the other to cover for them when they sneak out of the apartment. Not that the parents are paying any attention to them anyway 😅.
I'm so here for rich families that hate each other, give me the DRAMA Maybe they recently had to hire a new nanny and because he couldn't give less of a shit about who is taking care of his children Sterling told Rita to hire whoever she wanted. So she went on to hire a hot male nanny with a motorcycle and is trying to get an affair going with him. The kids like him too because he's the first of their nannies who doesn't treat them like babies and when he's in charge because their parents are away he will look the other way when they break curfew and stuff like that. So while they don't really care about him hooking up their mum they are really annoyed by her spending her weekends at the appartement more frequently and have come to the conclusion that they need to rekindle their parents' romance in order to keep their independence from mum.
I feel like the twins are best friends with the other twins that live near by, whos names are escaping me. and when their parents are away during the weekend they spend their weekends with the other teens having game nights at the aunts house

I reckong this is what could happen to Ritta, as there are very attractive very young male aupairs :).

I think Rita’s is from old money and the company she owns was part of deal she made with her parents when she was quite young so there was no room for her to be anyone else but who they wanted her to be and that resulted in to her being resentful with everyone and why she spends so much time with her work it’s the only thing she’s ever been able to control.

Backstory: I think the reason for the difficult family dynamic is that Sterling and Rita didn’t use to be as strict as they are now. In fact, they were almost hands-off, having an au pair practically raise Hugo and Liberty while they were advancing in their careers. Hugo and Liberty had a lot of money, with quite few responsibilities. Until, Liberty had a pregnancy scare. She didn’t end up being pregnant, but there were a lot of rumors, and her parent’s reputations both took quite a hit. Especially since her boyfriend wasn’t exactly…..proper. So now, their Sterling and Rita are OVERLY involved in their children’s lives, dictating every part of it. The tense relationship comes from Sterling and Rita going from hands-off parenting to breathing down their children’s necks.
I wonder if Hugo has a secret boyfriend he met during the extracurricular activities his parents forced upon him and his sister. Fearing the wrath of his parents for dating, and dating a boy no less, the only person he can confide in is Liberty, making their bond even stronger.
i feel like the parents have a big presence at a country club in brindleton bay where one or both of them have met a new partner and is cheating, but it’s not a secret between them because their marriage has become loveless but they stay together to keep up appearances. i think they encourage their children to go with them but they hate the posh environment and entitled teens that go there
I can imagine the father has made some stupid descisions and in combination with their lifestyle; things are under pressure, both financially and marriage wise. The parents have put this appartment on a fund in their childrens name and this is where they keep some of their million dollar art, just to be sure if anything goes south. I can also imagine those kids got a hint of that and feel trapped in thier parents scemes, like assets instead of family.
I want either the daughter or the son to be secretly gay and they've only come out to the nanny and sibling. Not the parents because they would get disowned.

I hate to be this guy, but I feel not great about the fact you've had two rich families with Jewish names (Wiseman and Rothberg I think) in this series. There's def lots of city with upper class Jewish communities but it's a stereotype that has some icky implications. Would love a working class Jewish family too! Theres lots of interseting details to add, some people have two kitchens, a lot of old books, candles that would add more character to a build. I love your videos and really hate to be nag, but i was surprised and bummed to notice this.
Their surname name is Wiseman (although I know there is an Americanized form of German Weismann) I know it from Scottish origin and have friends with that surname. I think you're looking a bit too much into this. I tend to steer away from any religious implications with my sim creations, and there was no difference here.

Not in a "trauma response" way but maybe one of these twins really can't be bothered with relationships and the complexities of it at the momo...maybe not until the right one anyways!

Sexuality is, as far as I interpret it, a spectrum and the fluidity of moving between orientations ESPECIALLY as a teen/individual grows up should be 100% allowed. I considered myself asexual/aro for the longest time as I was growing up and yes, that changed throughout my years after exposure to certain people, media and whatnot. Allow people, irrespective whether they are real or not (this is a sim, after all), the fluidity to change. We do change, sorry. That’s just a fact.

i feel like the parents have a big presence at a country club in brindleton bay where one or both of them have met a new partner and is cheating, but it’s not a secret between them because their marriage has become loveless but they stay together to keep up appearances. i think they encourage their children to go with them but they hate the posh environment and entitled teens that go there
I can imagine the father has made some stupid descisions and in combination with their lifestyle; things are under pressure, both financially and marriage wise. The parents have put this appartment on a fund in their childrens name and this is where they keep some of their million dollar art, just to be sure if anything goes south. I can also imagine those kids got a hint of that and feel trapped in thier parents scemes, like assets instead of family.
I want either the daughter or the son to be secretly gay and they've only come out to the nanny and sibling. Not the parents because they would get disowned.

I hate to be this guy, but I feel not great about the fact you've had two rich families with Jewish names (Wiseman and Rothberg I think) in this series. There's def lots of city with upper class Jewish communities but it's a stereotype that has some icky implications. Would love a working class Jewish family too! Theres lots of interseting details to add, some people have two kitchens, a lot of old books, candles that would add more character to a build.

Their surname name is Wiseman (although I know there is an Americanized form of German Weismann) I know it from Scottish origin and have friends with that surname. I think you're looking a bit too much into this. I tend to steer away from any religious implications with my sim creations, and there was no difference here.

Honestly I think that due to their parents dysfunctional marriage/relationship, either Liberty or Hugo would see themselves as asexual/aromantic especially through their teenage years and maybe into the early days of adulthood..? Not in a "trauma response" way but maybe one of these twins really can't be bothered with relationships and the complexities of it at the momo...maybe not until the right one anyways!

Sexuality is, as far as I interpret it, a spectrum and the fluidity of moving between orientations ESPECIALLY as a teen/individual grows up should be 100% allowed. I considered myself asexual/aro for the longest time as I was growing up and yes, that changed throughout my years after exposure to certain people, media and whatnot. Allow people, irrespective whether they are real or not (this is a sim, after all), the fluidity to change. We do change, sorry. That’s just a fact.
