I'm so jealous of you two, to have the opportunity to hear this track for the first time. I grew up loving this song and it continues to give me the same vibe as my initial listen. Such a great classic to be introduced to De La Soul. Great reaction!
1. The scooter is hip-hop... lol.... and it's something that Pos (the rapper on the scooter) would just do 2. The first rapper in this song is Q-Tip of A Tribe Called Quest..... again 90s hip-hop was big on doing collaborations with others 3. The singer is Vinia Mojica who was known to do hooks on a few artists albums during this time 4. Yes that was Grease in the middle.... lol 5. This came out in 1991 on the "De La Soul Is Dead" album 6. De La Soul is still doing their thing ... yes
Native tongues is a collective of 3 groups de la soul, jungle brothers and a tribe called quest. You should react to de la soul song buddy (remix) were all 3 groups are on the track.
Delasoul with Prince Paul sampled everything every genre anything and everything thats why their sound is so unique On Saturdays it was a big day to go to the Roller Rink in Black/ Latino world That's y the name of the song is named this
Whichever, you guys pick :) Coolio- Gangsta's Paradise Dr Dre- let me ride Dr Dre- what's the difference N.W.A.- chin check Wu-tang clan- C.R.E.A.M. Biggie Smalls- gimme the loot Nate Dogg- music and me Nate Dogg- never leave me alone Biggie Smalls- suicidal thoughts Warren G- summer time in the LBC
watching yall react to the "grease" part... made me think... react to 'he got game' by public enemy... familiar songs sampled in hip hop will open doors i think... with that in mind there is a documentary called 'sampled' or something to that nature that would help yall on your journey into the world of hip hop..
Loving you guys’ reactions. Open minded, honest, all we can ask for. I’d love it if you checked out Jean Grae & Quelle Chris - Gold Purple Orange. Pretty fun video with great lyrics.
One of the most creative hip hop songs ever. Prince Paul's production on this is stellar. He used several samples on the track including Evil Vibrations by Mighty Ryeders, I Got My Mind Made Up by Instant Funk, Light My Fire by Young Holt Unlimited and Saturday in the Park by Chicago.
@@metalheadreactions7379 the fact that his been this productive since the Pre RUclips days since like 2003 or 2004 is crazy I cant believe Im still hyped for an AVGN upload after 15 years lol
1spidersymbiotepool I agree. It's crazy he's still doing them. I watch a lot of it and even Mike on twitch. Curious to see how James' horror movie will be. Good stuff!
@@metalheadreactions7379 Oh yea hes been filming indie films for like 2 decades now Him and Chris Stuckman went to film school and they both kinda had that horror/thriller niche to em so Hopefully it comes out great
Airborne is the SHIT!! I fuckin LOVE that movie!! I could roller skate when I was a kid....don't put skates anywhere near me now! Lol! Great reaction guys! Really appreciate your open minded approach to the music I love SO much ! De La Souls is my favorite HIP HOP group! And they're STILL making music! Sad side note, most of the music from their catalog, they can't make any money from because of a shady deal with Tommy Boy Records...check them out their catalog is AMAZING!! Also check out A Tribe Called Quest documentary by Michael Rappaport. It's VERY good!
