That’s interesting! Do they have feathered feet? I’ve never had silkies.

@@pretendfarm Yes they do have feathered feet, with a puffy beard and puffy top on their head. They are wonderful chickens and I plan on utilizing the hens as brooders. They are very broody and will raise chicks, ducks as their own.

Are those in the end of video full grown? They are so very small, can you show us the size of their eggs then?

Unfortunately I no longer have those hens. Only the rooster remains. They all were very fragile and ended up with joint issues to where they could no longer move 😞

Beautiful bird...if you grab them when chicks and their young they get used to it...

I did that with one and he was super friendly….until he grew up. He got very mean. I’m not sure if it had anything to do with how I babied him or not 🤷🏻‍♂️

I also have a SF rooster and I handled him a lot as a chick. He won’t let me get near him.

Put the chickens down, don't hold them if they don't like it. You are stressing them out for nothing. Get a zoom lens and do it from a distance. This is unpleasant to watch when the chickens are not happy. Sheesh. You don't know how to hold them either.
