The 757 has to be one of the best planes ever made. I had to luck to fly on a us airways 757 to LHR. Very powerful plane lovely sound. Sad its no longer in production.
Sweetmissy12 APU mishaps on all Commercial Carriers are common and are nothing to worry about. After all, the ramp folks rolled-out the "HUFFER" to blow large volumes of warm air into the engine.........and bang........."we have combustion Houston" . There were no problems that you insinuate, breakers trip like they are supposed too; when the source of electricity is insufficient.......which was Terminal based.............until the "HUFFER" got everything peachy-keen.
Rather too much of the sun-bleached concrete whilst waiting in Turkey, and the Pilot`s explanation (en-route) about the problems couldn`t be heard - even on full volume.
Bloody awful airline and operator. Went to Skiathos last year on a 757 and I could barely walk from the plane. No legroom and I was so close to the passenger in front I could count the number of grey hairs he had.
mm this would have been logged..hope you all onboard claimed at least a partial refund...you paid for a product..and was failed to recieve what you paid for..safe jouneys and get your moneys worth....the airline was good with coping with a technical fault ..but end of day you didnt get the service you paid for..

An apu is a mini engine so it shouldn't really upset any nervous passengers

I have been on this airline, they are quite bad actually. Nasty old 757's that are configured tighter than Ryanair. AWFUL!!!!
