@DonutMaster56 no geometry dash. That game becomes so much harder than it looks it's funny. Usually, timings that are 3 frames are considered almost easy on my level and I'm nowhere near the best.
@@Introlabeit would be at 60fps (so 1/20th of a second), usually frame windows in that game are assumed to be 60fps unless they say. Also, Fun fact: The 2nd hardest (beaten) level starts with a 180fps frame perfect, and the hardest has somewhere like 140+ frame perfects (at 60fps).
Stuff like this is fun to watch, but Celeste is a game with a super high skill ceiling. Having multiple rng subpixel obstacles to overcome seems completely against the spirit of Celeste to me and would just be torture to attempt. I am glad there are those who feel otherwise and put in the dedication to doing these insane challenges and explaining and showcasing them. Cause it is still highly entertaining. Parrot: thats... That's not how it works... Them: just increase your fps 2x. I.e. if you need 7.5 frames normally, do 15 frames with double the frames per second. Duh

I remember years ago in the Celeste discord joking about the idea of a d1d7 being created. I use the search function and it turns out I am the second person in the entire server to have a message including 'd1d7', which makes me proud lol. It's great and terrible seeing this evil map come to life; I'm pretty happy that it exists.

There is definitely another cool one planned for in the near future but dunno how common of a thing this will be since this was wayyyy more work than I ever expected it would be and its hard to find time for such huge video projects. yup, its a minimal changes reverse version of a super buffed limited movement version of a really hard version of the summit called 7d… its quite something lmao
it's funny how no matter how small a celeste youtuber is, they always make a great video. I always feel that they passed through the gameplay hell so editing a video is nothing grand
I'm a newbie who's long been interested in the high level side of celeste, but has only recently started actually doing so (currently working on the spring 2020 advanced heartside), and I have to say this video was both extremely cleanly put-together and very informing. yay someone explained that autoscroller blocks give you more precision control and that most of those are supposed to be buffered in the original map anyway and basically if you do it "right" every time then you still have a small chance of actually making it through

Also, there was no volume warning at 10:18 😰
thanks! yeah looking back now this video for sure isnt perfect and there would be some stuff id change (including volume warning oops sorry) but yeah original intended target audience was people that knew about the room but not why it was so difficult, i still tried to make it as understandable as possible for people that just played the main game but that was quite difficult for something like this, im glad you enjoyed it though and thanks for the feedback !
Recently started playing celeste, and I want to play custom levels after the base game. This video has me scared and somewhat excited for custom levels with a good challenge

It’s when you do a hyper dash midair to regain your dash during the hyper. A hyper is where you’re on the ground and use a downright/downleft dash and then jump to gain hyper speed in the air. A wave dash is where you start from the air and input a hyper to gain hyper speed and regain your dash.
98 hours on a single level, holy crap. The longest I've ever spent on a level (so far) was just 2 hours, I can't even begin to imagine what almost 50 times that amount would feel like

man beautiful video, great editing flow and everything. ON THING please take more time while you record your voice-over, there is no rush, there is no one that is going to kill you in 5 second. Take your time, don’t stumble on your word, try to say clear sentences. I’m telling you this because you got potential, it’s just really hard to follow the video, next before doing the video try to send the voice over to someone for review, because you can understand everything obviously, but a new viewer isn’t as custom as you with your accent. Even worse (like in my case) the viewer may not be from an english speaking county. Everything else was great and really interesting, overall good video.
Good advice. I could barely understand what he was saying, and I'm usually pretty good at deciphering unfamiliar accents or unique speech patterns. I also like to think I have good hearing, and this isn't at all something I experience often on RUclips. No offense to OP but I think his audio in general needs a bit of work.

7:30 did you ever mess with doing a tiny right tap right before the walljump? could result in moving right the frame you hit the corner and preventing the zero frame. comes with its own set of issues ofc lol
that would theoretically work, though that would most likely also result in being much further right and probably ending up on the right side of the gap. Meaning there is a bigger range of pixels you could end up in and have to react from and also possibly making it harder to get into the left most 0.15 since your now on the right side of the gap. So it would probably make things less consistent all around and not be worth it for the rare instances of getting 0 framed there
@@ParrotDash makes sense. the one time i actually did that in a setup it was 50% to happen so i'm probably overestimating how common getting 0-framed is
as someone who just completed all of the B-side levels in celeste, i thought for about 10 whole seconds this was a c-side vanilla level and felt intense dread

TLDR: tons of extremely precise pixel perfect tricks is very hard, subpixels are basically random and super hard

7:30 did you ever mess with doing a tiny right tap right before the walljump? could result in moving right the frame you hit the corner and preventing the zero frame. comes with its own set of issues ofc lol
that would theoretically work, though that would most likely also result in being much further right and probably ending up on the right side of the gap. Meaning there is a bigger range of pixels you could end up in and have to react from and also possibly making it harder to get into the left most 0.15 since your now on the right side of the gap. So it would probably make things less consistent all around and not be worth it for the rare instances of getting 0 framed there
@@ParrotDash makes sense. the one time i actually did that in a setup it was 50% to happen so i'm probably overestimating how common getting 0-framed is

as someone who just completed all of the B-side levels in celeste, i thought for about 10 whole seconds this was a c-side vanilla level and felt intense dread
