Pirates' Curse feels the best balance of beat and that arabic-esque vibe. Also has my favorite breakaway beat at 6:53 which just feels so, so smooth

There is a "Armor Town" as the BGM of Shantae and the seven sirens teaser, but it's not "Burning town" anyway.
I love Pirates curse’s version a lot, but Neo-Burning Town is always on when I’m in the mood for vehicular manslaughter
I don't get the hate for the half genie hero variant, it's a damn good rock/techno cover that was made by the devs themselves, it's a good song in it's own right

My fave is the Pirate's curse one, but Half Genie Hero is not worse, just a different kind of awesome.
For those looking for the context with the Half-Genie Hero variant, Burning Town is literally Burning.
They got Jake to pull off a Mighty Switch Force 2 just to call back to Firefighter Patty's vibes!
I’m still able to groove to the GBC version. Risky’s Revenge has more groove though, *BUT* I think Pirate’s Curse is the grooviest of the bunch.

Shantae is my favorite video game character. She has a great design, she’s attractive and so adorable with many adorable forms.
And all Shantae games are fun to play.
Also her design reminds me of Beastmon one of my favorite Digimon except that Beastmon is a sadistic cat/human monster and Shantae is a friendly human/genie.
I really wish I had gotten into the series earlier than I did. It's just so fun

After doing some research there is a resemblance between that man from shantae and the pirates curse and the character karnov from the old nes game.
The original, Risky's Revenge, and Pirate's Curse was a trilogy, and Half Genie Hero was a reboot. Then Seven Sirens happened, and people still don't know wtf it is.
Having just seen a video on Risky Revolution it seems like the question that's always at the forefront of the dev teams mind is "what crazy new twists can we put on this established gameplay loop"
The prior Shantae games have always tried to give you reasons to go back to already completed levels to find even more with your new abilities, so to me Seven Sirens feels like them finally just admitting they wanted to make a cool metroidvania and making a cool metroidvania

Why did you put Armor Town, a completely different song, in your ranking ?
People forget Armor town is a remix of burning town cause finally they stop burning the town down. As well as the fact even if Jack didn't work on the soundtrack it was nice of them to remember burning town for Seven Sirens. Personally I love Armor Town theme and you can hear the rifts of burning town in it.
