I just received this product yesterday, and have the same issue as you do. Wonderfully, there is a needle bearing instead of a sintered brass bushing for the forstner bit. The bearing is pressed into the aluminum part and retained with a retaining ring. However, the retaining ring's two hole for snap ring pliers protrude past the needle bearing and interfere with the bit. That's why you had difficulty with insertion of the bit at 2:20 . The other forstner bit you tried should have spun smoothly. After you beat out the other bit, the included forstner bit spun smoothly. This is because when you inserted the other bit - it probably deformed the retaining ring holes enough for the smaller-diameter bit to now clear. I ended up removing the retaining ring and using a slow-speed grinder with a fine grit wheel to remove some material from the retaining ring. Now, the bit slips in without resistance and spins freely.

I read this jig does not work with typical spacing used by BLUM? IS that correct?

Metric-minded folks trapped in an Imperial world should be aware that when they break or lose the included 2mm bit they can replace it with one sized 5/64". But what I'd like to know is what are the little notches for in one jaw of one of the two stamped wrenches? Rewatching, I see your wrenches don't have those notches or steps.
