The world has changed , I feel it In the water Much that once was is lost for none live who remember it.. One google account to manage everything, One way to connect with third party products, One set of privacy commitments. One account to rule them all, But there were some that resisted..
I watched the video. Instead of answering the simple question, this video talks about other things in which we are not interested. I wish the instruction should be given by non-technical people so no information will be assumed and all information from A to Z. Tus video is useless for the question on how to migrate my NESt to a Google account. I already have too many email accounts and now Google wants to create a google email. This is forcing people to google emails.
Nest wants me to migrate to Google but will not allow me to use my google account (G-suite) account domain . All of my devices are on the Gsuite account, I am afraid to migrate because I cannot tell if once I migrate to my other Google account , will it work with my google products at home that are all on the Gsuite account.
Do not buy a nest camera!!! They do not respect you as a consumer. After purchasing this camera Google intruded into everyone's cameras without their permission and installed firmware that disabled the feature that allows you to turn off the status light when the camera was recording. This is very helpful if you are monitoring a child and you don't want the light shining on them or if you are just protecting your home, loved ones or property and using it for surveillance. Google wants intruders to be able to see that you are recording them, so they can go around your camera. Criminal rights are VERY important at Google. This is no longer the product I paid for.
And the REASON we switched that OFF on all our OUTDOOR cameras was because it seemed to attract more INSECTS to the cameras, causing false hits during the night. So many that now the cameras almost fail to deliver on their purpose, notifying us when REAL activity takes place. Once again, decisions being made for the REST of us by a small group of millennials who feel a need to stay connected.
It seems you deleted all my stuff... do I get a refund for you tricking me into getting screwed with my account? When I bought my camera, the deal was that if I paid, I got my recordings saved for 30 days, and if I didn't pay, it was saved 7 days... Do I get my money back?
i just migrated to google and now i have no access to my cameras or my previous account, nobody will help, phone just hangs up when i call and follow the steps to Nest equipment. If i add my existing cameras to my new Nest/Google account it says they belong to another account, the one i have absolutely no access to anymore, but im sure will still be billing my credit card.....
All this video is telling you is that Google is going to do the same thing it has always done with Nest products. The only difference is they're taking away the ability for your nest products to connect with other services, just like they took away the ability for you to shut your status light off on your nest hello. Google has taken the stuff too far. I recommend that people steer clear of the Google smart home ecosystem, because it sounds like they want to get a Stranglehold on your entire life at this point. You're smart home your email your Android device there's even talk of them coming out with a bank account. It seems like Google is the start of the technocracy. It's time to reduce the amount of Google products we have in our home. We are giving them far too much control
So my thermostat and stopped working on the app on my phone even after I migrated to Google. It's very annoying and not what I signed up for when I purchased the product.
So if you can control Nest product on the Google Home app, do you still need the Nest app after your done setting it up on google home? Like can you delete the Nest app and you can still be able to control it from the Google Home app?
I've 5 Nest Thermostats. I've spent hours attempting to migrate to Google Home (We change the thermostat settings via our Alexa app which no longer works thanks to this unwelcome takeover). I've come here as, although I'm fairly technically capable, I've so far failed to migrate from Nest to Google Home (I've read any help file I can find). And now I know why. At 3:05 the video starts showing screens which are not offered to me. "Then you'll disconnect any Works with Nest products". Well that would be nice if the migration offered me this option. But it doesn't. I'm exhausted.
It use to be easy, but now too confusing! I just missed important video footage because of all the bs I had to ‘try’ to learn. Too late, missed Important security video footage because of Google. Done with this ... hello ADT!!!!
So how can I get a FULL REFUND for ALL of my NEST devices? This is BS. We don't want an always-listening always-eavesdropping (for "diagnostics purposes only", uh-huh) ALEXA type environment.
I just moved into my new home...I can not activate my thermostat...smh idk why they just didn't keep it simple lol the home seller is supposed to come help me so hopefully it wrks... Prayers 🙏 oh and happy mother's Day to everyone!! 🎉🎉

I don't get it. Where do you go to Migrate Nest App to Home App, it leaves that part out. I now have two apps for two Thermostats in the same house, one Google Nest and one Google Nest Learning....There is no where to go and actually migrate. Lame.

Does not work with GSuite accounts. So my Nest Hello no longer works with my Google Home devices, and the camera on the new Nest Hub Max won't work at all.
Hi there, thanks for leaving a comment. While you can link a G Suite account to Google Home and Google Nest Hub device, it may or may not work due to some restrictions - learn more here: goo.gle/2mp3i4P. We'd suggest using a regular Gmail account to get the most out of your devices.
Great news on the increased security of MFA with the google account. But the integration shown in the video between the Hello doorbell and the nest hub already works with the current setup. What additional integrations will be enabled by migrating my account from my current nest account. Will I still be able to share just my camera and not my entire google home if I migrate?
Hey there, thanks for the comment. Yep, you can still share your camera’s video stream after migration. Also, WWGA already works with over 3,500 partners and 30,000 devices, and integrates seamlessly with Assistant Routines. More details here: goo.gle/2HgXPEP
And what's wrong with that? I fail to see the problem here other than the fact that they forgot to mute he "Hey Google", since that can wake up someone's Google speaker

I tried to sign with my nestcam account and it failed, then with my google account and it failed. Now I have no access to a camera which I pay fifty dollars a year to operate. well done Google !

Also, when you're gonna release the new Google WiFi product, please kill the Google WiFi app and bring those features into this rebranded Google Nest app and also rebrand it to 'Google Nest WiFi' just like you're doing with 'Google nest mini'.
