I had heard many people mentioning this band so I finally heard their music for the first time today and found I love what I hear - with two singers. They compliment each other very well.
Such great song. There is a difference between metal and hard rock, but in some cases difference is almost non-existence . Lacuna Coil has precision. I will dare to say they are almost a new style in music. Even live they sound awesome, unlike others I could mention. I've been listening to Rock and Heavy Metal for 30 yrs and I tell you good bands like this one are hard to come by these days

Lacuna Coil's best song. EVER!!! So toching emotional and inspiring I almost cry when I listen to it! It is based on the true story of a friend of the band, that died of drug overdose, commiting suicide actually. They couldn't be near him when he went through depression and they felt guilty for his death so they wrote Within Me. For more info look "Within Me" in wikipedia.

Visually, the music video is gorgeous and full of some really beautifully executed Gothic imagery; that gown and outfit, the castle set, that wear-a-poet-shirt-while-playing-guitar moment, his throne, etc. I'm just trying to figure out whether or not I actually like the music.
DomesticatedGoth Pretty much. Musically, Lacuna Coil is a bit hit and miss for me. I keep coming back to this video though because it is so freaking gorgeous. The gothic imagery is strong with this one, and I love it.
I will always see this vid as a highlight of LC's career. It's what sold the band for me in the first place, and quite frankly, I'd love it if more vids of this nature were made. Crossing my fingers for the next album...

Visually, the music video is gorgeous and full of some really beautifully executed Gothic imagery; that gown and outfit, the castle set, that wear-a-poet-shirt-while-playing-guitar moment, his throne, etc. I'm just trying to figure out whether or not I actually like the music.
DomesticatedGoth Pretty much. Musically, Lacuna Coil is a bit hit and miss for me. I keep coming back to this video though because it is so freaking gorgeous. The gothic imagery is strong with this one, and I love it.
It's a haunting, beautiful and wistful piece of music which one can't fail but be moved by. The video compliments the song perfectly.
