The effort is inappropriate. His behaviors are red flags. She may not know how to explain her feelings (actually using emotion/feeling words) because it’s not overt. This is how emotional affairs begin and his reaction to ending the friendship is a reaction that you have when you have become emotionally attached to someone, otherwise it would not have been hard to end the new friendship with someone she did not like how he was acting with. It was about his intimate behavior, not the other woman’s behavior. It’s hard to provide “evidence” for emotional intrusions other than your instincts or feelings. Dre’s instincts about physical security for his wife are the same instinct women have about emotional security. Both are equally valid.

Why is freedom, fun and enjoyment as a married man usually paired with being able to hang out with the opposite sex without your spouse or s/o having feelings or insecurities about it? I rarely hear this being a need for women and rarely hear men being okay with their woman being “free” in the same ways with the opposite sex without being “concerned for their safety.” 🙄

I know for my friends and I we normally only do that when we are trying to get closer to a person we are interested in. It was getting deep and I wouldn’t be surprised if he doubled back. Hopefully they can pull through tho. I don’t have kids but I know the first year of having a kid makes or breaks couples without a strong foundation.
I think there is a difference with friendships (with the sex you're attracted to) that have been established before the relationship and new ones while in a relationship. It's about the intention. Sending info about compatibility and twin flames, it seems like there is attraction and more than just platonic. Absolutely love this podcast. Maybe something you guys didn't cover is the fact that they just had a baby. The first year after a baby requires a lot of adjustment. She is dealing with postpartum and being home with the baby. He is spending time at the gym maybe she would want him more at home. The fact that another women gets that time with him may trigger her to be more possive and sensitive about that. He may not know what role to play at home with the baby. Telling her that he lusts over other women when she is in a place where her body has changed is truly hard and hurtful to hear. Anyways I hope they try to get some counseling to help them get to the root of this.
