Battery is a heart of Electric Vehicles. Your review should have been more focused on battery features - life, removable, home charging, maintenance etc.
Yes what most reviews won't tell you is practical battery performance and how we will need to replace them after few years makes electric vehicles very expensive as the batteries can only be replaced by company and replacement costs will be 70-80% of the vehicle cost.
Yeah Main question regarding EVs will always be performance of battery, reason they may have over looked is that these scooters are still light years behind of flagship models from start ups like Okinawa in terms of battery range, performance and removability of battery
Ather Grid and fast Charging support on the Ather 450 is also worth the mention. Chetak leans towards practicality where as Ather towards sportiness. iQube sits in the middle.
TVs has currently only 10 charging ports across Bangalore. Also let all know battery replacement cost, warranty period etc. Overall good comparison . Keep it up. Be Indian buy Indian
I wanted to buy an electric scooter for environmental reasons and the day-light robbery at Petrol stations in India. But I intended to use the scooter for business purpose and so that limited range of these electric scooters made less sense for me. Moreover I live in Jaipur, hence Ather is not an option here right now. A range of atleast 160km (atleast optional) could have made these scooters worth considering for me. Also such a small battery (of 80km range) would mean a lot of charge-discharge cycles in a couple of years - meaning a rapid degradation of Li-ion battery which powers these.
Looking at Activa 6G price at 90k in Mumbai, electric scooter is much better option. But real problem which no one is talking is security of Battery. I hope removal of battery from scooter is difficult.
Aapne bahut accha technicals parameter ke basis pe comparison karke ke dikhaya hai per aam aadmi ko itna technicals terms samaj mein nehi aata, wo toh sirf ye samajhna chahata hai ki iska price kya hai, ek charge mein minimum kitna km chalega, ( company toh kucch bhi claim kar sakti hai), ek full charge mein kitna unit electric consume hoga, aaram se kitne logon ka load carry kar sakta hai without any problem, smoothly ( per say 150kg ) ya 200 kg), jo charging socket provide kiya gaya hai usse kya ghar mein charge kar sakte hai, jo higher floor mein rehta hai jaise 1st, 2nd ya 3rd etc wo kaise charge karenge, kya charging unit ko kholkar room mein le jagar charge kar sakte hain ki nehi, full charge karne ke baad kitna km. chalne ke baad dobara fir se charge kar lena chahiye taki raaste mein kisi tarah ka koi problem na aaye, kya battery charging indicator hai jaise warning de ki ab isko charge karle, jaise mobile mein 20% mein indicate karne lagta hai ki ab charge karle, isko chalate waqt helmet, driving license etc compulsory hai ki nehi, service for maintainence kitne km ke gap mein karana chahiye, sahi maintainence ke liye kis kis baaton per dhyan rakhna chahiye taki raaste mein kisi tarah ka problem na aaya, do & don'ts etc etc. Mein ek aam aadmi ke nazariye se ye saare point raise kiya hoon, thnx a lot for this lovely video, arey haan ek aur baat, Bank finance karega ki nehi, kitne saal ka emi hoga, kaun kaun sa bank & nbfc finance karega aur interest rest roughly kitna vary kar sakta hai. Aur haan ek aur baat, hybrid option wala kaun sa scooter behtar hai, like both battery & petrol. Ye option sabse convenient rahega. Agar battery use na kare toh petrol mein kitna mileage dega 🤔🤔

I am listening all these stories for more than a year but all these products are only available in Bangalore or Hyderabad or Pune. What about East and North India? Our waiting period is crossing the limit.
I had a plan to buy an electric scooter for travelling short distance for my wife but after waiting long period more than a year neither TVS nor Bajaj launched in East . Hence bought a petrol scooter Suzuki at last. Scooter is very useful for tutions, bringing groceries etc in short distances within 2-3 km. Everytime taking out a car from a garage to travel short distance is hectic. I thought if it can be a electric one then it will b better and environment friendly. But here only Okinawa and Hero e scooters are available snd they are low powered and not upto the quality.
did all 3 scooters have reverse option?did their motors and batteries r waterproof? did they have sefty features like lock mode ,reverse gear indication, anty theft etc? did they have keyless start? child lock?becouse almost children's like to play with accelator, due to sound and vibration less scooter there is possibility of accidents.
Good to see a comparo with all 3 EVs. You were mentioning all the specs in 3 colours. It’s difficult to remember which colour is for what. You better mention the scooter name for easy understanding.

In my opinion we should wait for 6 or 7 months more.....in 2022 I am expecting more ev scooter s. Then we will have more choices and comparison....As far in my city Dehradun I can hardly see ev on roads....but i personally find your video honest and useful.....
I am considering to buy an electric scooter, I will consider only between "TVS iQUBE" or Bajaj only, because Ather 450 is costliest scooter + they are charging high monthly subscription which is totality unjustified. I am just awaiting for it's launching in my city. And also TVS & Bajaj is a most trusted brand & have large sales & service network across the country. So in my opinion "TVS iQUBE" or "Bajaj Chetak" is best option for average Indians.
My take on electric vehicles : Buying EVs is useless for existing two wheeler owners. With the cost of vehicle + charging cost + subscription plans + repairs and maintenance + battery replacement over a 10 years period you can buy same amount of petrol for 10 years. Maybe then one can think of moving to EV - IF : 1. Cost of EVs has reduced drastically in coming years at par with petrol vehicles - This will neve happen despite what we are led to believe as due to increasing demand the prices will automatically go up for lack of supply and dependence on Lithium batteries which cannot ever be manufactured locally. 2. Electricity bills are same - Will never happen in fact government will at least double electricity tarrifs in next 5-10 years for two reasons. 1. Fall in demand for petrol resulting in revenue loss in terms of exorbitant taxes it's getting currently and 2. Increased demand in electricity due to more EVs and such on the road. 3. Finally EVs will meet same fate as that of diesel vehicles today as all the major cost benefits would be gone by then and people will start shifting back to the petrol vehicles. 4. Discounting other benefits such as environmental as : 1. No one is really going to buy for environmental reasons 2. Even power generation today in India is 70% from fossil fuels and it cannot change in even next 10 years significantly. So net environmental benefits of EV vehicles is literally none except maybe reduction in city population by a bit considering major source of pollution is industrial and heavy vehicles which will anyway take over 25-50 years to move fully electric.
Great comparison work. Well explained. I thought of go with Chetak. However my concern is to charge every 75KM which requires 4hours. This is not viable. Long journey is not possible. There must be an option for "fast charging ".

Hume performance se koi matlab nahi. Bhagane par sabhi gadiya bhagti hai. Scooter are made for city drive, traffic drive, simple ride. So seating comfortable ho and long range ho.
The belt connecting with the motor is a bad thing because these rubber belts wear out over time. Directly mounting with the wheel ensure no maintenance in that section
Electric ka market tab banega jab 1.Battery life 15 se 20 saal ki ho 2. Vechile cost two wheeler 60000 ka aspas 3. Electricity k rate per unit 10 rs se jayada na ho 4. Charging time less than 1hours 5. Eco mode sport mod ki zanjat na ho 6. Range single charge me 500 km tak ho 7. Vechile stablity or all india atlest 20,000 charging point ho... Jab ye sab ho jayega.... electric market petrol diesel market ko khtam kar dega
Major cons of buying e bike: 1: ek sal bad battery ki average 40 ki ati hai. 2: 2sal bad battery performance down ho jata hai. 3: 3 sal bad battery ki wat lag jati hai aur nayi leni padti hai. 4: Nayi battery ki kimat 40 se 50 hajar hogi. Tab rona mat.
I purchased the iQUBE on 1st march 2022 but just after three days ,its battery is giving problem as it is not able to charge more than 77% and suddenly charging stops. When I took it to TVS service center they said, its battery needs to be replaced.
